The Sinking of C'Thagn (Pirate Borg):
“The damned and blasphemous city of C’Thagn is risen from the depths of the ocean. Regurgitated by the frothing waves, long since tired of its noisome aura. This contemptible citadel was not constructed by human hands, as is evident in its abhorrent architecture, Yet it is humans now who walk down its fetid streets."

Welcome to America at the end of the Millennium. Do you know who is pulling the strings? Delta Green knows.
Things from beyond time and space that lurk and titter in the shadows, the slow rot at the core of humanity, the dark stars that whirl madly above-these are the true masters of the world. Delta Green has been fighting them since the 1928 Raid on Innsmouth, and the fight still rages on.

**Topic: The Intelligent Assembly Line: Designing Multi-Agent Workflows with ADK TS**
How I Failed the Decision Tree and Built a Better Squad
How do we know if we are building a real agent or just over-engineering a simple script? I discovered the answer when my own YouTube project failed the Google Decision Tree, proving I was using a helicopter to cross the street. To solve this, I built an Agent Architect squad using the Agent Development Kit (ADK) for TypeScript, moving from fragile prompts to a structured Intelligent Assembly Line. This talk explores how a squad of agents evaluates your ideas through four key patterns: a loop for self-correcting discovery, a smooth handoff between specialized agents, a logic check to catch bad ideas early and save money, and a final report for strategic advice. We will examine the visual flows and reasoning required to build a system that thinks for itself, ensuring your AI projects are truly agent-shaped and cost-effective.

**Bonnie Cheung**
YouTube channel
Bonnie is an investment and technology professional with over 20 years of experience across the US and Asia. She is the creator of YOLO 街, a YouTube channel that was recognized as one of the Top Trending Channels in 2025 for Hong Kong. The channel provides information on new technologies to the Cantonese-speaking population.
Her career began in the US, where she led large-scale digital transformations for Fortune 500 companies at Deloitte and IBM, including AT&T, HP, and T-Mobile. She later transitioned into finance, earning her CFA charter and working as an investment associate in Private Equity before moving into industry operations. As Head of Strategic Planning for the Zuellig Group, a $12 billion healthcare distributor, she managed technology adoption and innovation across 13 countries.
In venture capital, Bonnie was a Venture Partner at 500 Startups, where she established the firm’s first blockchain-focused accelerator track. Her early-stage investments included Solana, which has reached a market valuation of $44 billion. She has since moved between building and investing, serving as Chief of Strategy for the Web3 startup and as an Operations Partner at Race Capital, supporting founders in the AI and data infrastructure sectors.
Bonnie holds a double major in Engineering and Economics from Dartmouth College. An avid traveler, she has visited over 50 countries, from trekking the Sahara to navigating Patagonia, and wondering through the streets of Pompeii.
**Topic: The Great Equalizer: Breaking Career and Generational Patterns with AI**
For a long time, we have been told that our career "patterns" are set by our early training. If you didn’t study film, you couldn't be a film creator. If you didn't study engineering, you couldn't be a technologist. We were trapped by the "skill gap."
In this talk, Bonnie challenges this rigid structure by sharing her personal pattern break. Despite a 20-year career in venture capital and engineering, Bonnie had zero video production/ media skills. Yet, using AI as her "production crew," she built YOLO 街, which became a 2025 Top Trending YouTube channel in Hong Kong.
In the age of AI, prior “learned skills” are no longer the bottleneck. If you have the curiosity, AI provides the technical execution, allowing for radical career pivots in both directions.
This isn't just about making videos—it’s about a fundamental shift in how we acquire power in the workforce. She will demonstrate how AI acts as a "Capability Equalizer" that works in both directions:
In the AI era, your curiosity is your only real limit. If a venture capitalist can become a top creator with no prior skills, then the reverse is also true: the tools to become a technologist or a strategist are now in everyone's hands.

**Dr. Pui Wah Choi**
Founder & CEO, WomenX Biotech
Dr. Pui-Wah Choi is a pioneering scientist and entrepreneur dedicated to transforming women’s health through innovative biotechnology. After completing her postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School, she founded WomenX Biotech Limited in Hong Kong, focusing on groundbreaking health solutions tailored specifically for women.
WomenX aims to revolutionize disease screening with PadX-HPV, a sanitary pad that detects HPV—the primary cause of cervical cancer—from menstrual blood. This non-invasive technology seeks to increase HPV screening rates across Asia from a mere 30% to an ambitious 80%, addressing cultural barriers and busy schedules that often hinder women's access to essential health services.
The potential of WomenX’s pads extends beyond HPV detection; they are also designed to monitor reproductive health, fertility, and microbiome status, offering a holistic approach to women’s health management. This innovation empowers women to better understand their bodies and make informed health decisions.
In January 2025, WomenX introduced PadX-HPV, the first non-invasive product in Hong Kong to detect HPV types linked to cervical cancer directly from menstrual blood through a sanitary pad. With an accuracy rate of 99.2%, PadX has been in high demand since its launch, selling out multiple times.
In addition to her emphasis on technological progress, Dr. Choi is deeply committed to creating social impact and empowering women. This year, she will install 100 vending machines for sanitary pads throughout Hong Kong, placing them in schools, shopping malls, and NGOs. On one hand, this initiative fosters a more gender-friendly environment; on the other, the machines will also provide educational materials on menstrual health, menstrual shame, and first menstruation management. More importantly, the sanitary pad vending machine project will create thousands of job opportunities for low-income and single mothers, allowing them to regain economic participation without sacrificing caregiving responsibilities.
Dr Choi was selected as the Prestige Women or Power 2025, Jessica Most successful women, Tatler Front & Female and Foundess 2025. Additionally, WomenX Biotech won the Slingshot competition in the biomed domain (under Singapore Enterprise), achieving the 0.17% tier, as well as the Standard Chartered SC WIN competition and multiple international innovation championships.

Challenging the stereotype of who belongs in tech. The speaker traces her own path from a school mathlete to an IT Consultant, demonstrating how curiosity transformed her from a pure engineer into a people-focused problem solver. This presentation is a call for all, regardless of gender or age, to break self-imposed limits and adapt, proving that the tech world needs diverse minds to thrive.

HKPUG #96 - Project Cool Down: Build a Smart AC AI with Python 🥵🧊
Date: 28 March 2026 (Sat)
Time: 16:00 - 18:00 \*HKT
Coordinator: Ming Tou, Alex Au
Light Refreshments will be available!
This is a **workshop** for Python IoT. Please bring along your laptop with **Python3 installed with enough battery**! *Winners will get a small prize as an accomplishment.*
Please fill in the form for admission:
https://forms.gle/khyqQMPhv3i9QaUH7
**Topic: Project Cool Down: Build a Smart AC AI with Python 🥵🧊**
Are you melting? Let’s fix that with code. 🫠
In this hands-on workshop, we are turning a standard Python IoT tutorial into a gamified Smart Home Engineering Challenge! You don’t need to bring a physical AC. We have built several localized "Smart Home Servers" (Raspberry Pi 4 clusters) that will simulate a real-world environment. You will compete in teams to write the ultimate Python control script.
**What You Will Do:**
* **Level 1 (Hello World):** Connect to our local cluster API and get the virtual AC running.
* **Level 2 (Wallet Saver):** Electricity is expensive! Integrate the API to check real-world HK weather. Only turn the AC on if it's actually hot outside.
* **Level 3 (Compressor Protection):** Real-world GPS is noisy. Code hysteresis and cool-down algorithms to protect the AC compressor from exploding due to rapid On/Off toggling.
* **Level 4 (The Boss Fight):** The Wife Acceptance Factor (W.A.F). Handle complex, multi-user logic to ensure the AC stays on if someone else is still at home!
Your code will be tested against our "Chaos Generator"—a 10-minute simulation of a messy, real-world day. Gain points for comfort, lose points for wasting electricity or breaking the hardware.
**Capacity:** 32 (Strictly limited to 6-8 teams)
**Venue Info:**
City University of Hong Kong, Kowloon Tong (Exact Location TBC)
**Rundown:**
16:00 - 16:10 Opening Remarks, Team Formation & Wi-Fi Setup
16:10 - 16:25 Briefing: Smart Home Architecture & API Setup
16:25 - 17:05 Coding Phase 1 (Levels 1 & 2)
17:05 - 17:50 Coding Phase 2 (Levels 3 & 4)
17:50 - 18:00 The Final Chaos Simulation, Awards
18:00 - Networking outside City University
**Audience pre-requisite:**
* **Hardware:** **MUST** bring a laptop with Python 3 installed and a code editor (VS Code, PyCharm, etc.).
* **Skills:** Recommended having basic to intermediate-level knowledge of Python (handling JSON, using the `requests` library, and writing basic `if/else/while` loops).

**Abstract**
Web Forms gave .NET developers a powerful abstraction for building reusable UI controls long before design systems were a thing. Web Components finally bring that same idea to the browser natively.
This session explores how the Web Forms mindset translates into Custom Elements, Shadow DOM, and HTML templates. We’ll examine how Web Components enable design systems that work across frameworks, how they differ from server‑driven controls, and why they’re becoming a foundational layer for modern UI. Whether you’re maintaining legacy apps or building greenfield projects, you’ll leave with a practical understanding of how to apply familiar patterns in a modern, standards‑based way.

ServiceNow's Got Talent
Builders, creators, architects, admins, consultants - come one, come all. This one's for you.
We're bringing a little friendly competition to the Columbus ServiceNow community while highlighting the cool things people have built on the platform.
Five presenters will take the stage to showcase something they've built, solved, designed, or imagined on the ServiceNow platform - and a panel of judges (plus YOU, our amazing audience) will score them live.
So basically, America's Got Talent but make it ServiceNow's Got Talent.
Bring a notepad if you'd like 'cause you'll definitely be learning something new.
Each presenter gets 10 minutes max to wow the crowd with:
• A demo
• A real-world business solution
• A bold idea
• A UX transformation
• Or a creative use of the platform
Judging Criteria:
🏆 Business Value
🚀 Innovation
✨ User Experience
This event is about celebrating ideas, sharing knowledge, and showing how ServiceNow can drive both business impact and meaningful user value.
Come learn. Come support. Come get inspired.
Refreshments and bites will be provided.
And maybe next time… you’ll be on stage.
