OSHO Full Day Meditation March 8th, 2026
Beloved Friends,
With joy in our hearts, we invite you to gather for a full day of Osho Meditation — a day to move, breathe, celebrate, and rest deeply in silence together.
 Date: 8th March
 Time: 7:30 am – 5:00 pm
Venue: Elwood Angling Club, Foreshore, Elwood, VIC 3184
This special day offers a nurturing space to step out of the busyness of daily life and enter a field of awareness, energy, and inner stillness.
We will be sharing Dynamic Meditation along with other powerful active Osho meditations, creating space for expression, release, celebration, and silence.
Through movement, laughter, sound, and quiet sitting, we allow the energy to flow and the mind to relax naturally.
A wholesome vegetarian breakfast and lunch will be lovingly prepared, so you can simply relax and be nourished in both body and being.
This is a pre-booked event, and places are limited.
To reserve your place, please call or text Bodhi on 0424 851 844.
Kindly confirm your attendance by 4th March so we can prepare everything with care.
Whether you are new to meditation or already walking the path, you are most welcome.
Looking forward to sharing this beautiful day together

Horror Movie Meetup: Scream 7 @ Yarraville Sun
Howdy all it's been ages since I've had a chance to host a horror meetup but thought I'd kick it off again for 2026.
We are into the 7th Scream, I'm that old I remember seeing the first with all my teen friends. I'm not expecting a masterpiece, but the last one had some really good scenes.
Sidney Prescott-Evans (Neve Campbell) must protect her teenage daughter, Tatum (Isabel May), when a new Ghostface killer terrorises their quiet town of Pine Grove. As the past resurfaces, Sidney faces the masked threats once more to end the bloodshed for good.
We'll meet 6.30pm at Sun to get tix then go to Grill'd Yarraville (a few doors down from Sun) then see a film around 7.30pm, times will drop later this week.
Cheers! Justin

Moomba parade and lunch with Christian Gatherings
Hi guys,
Bit of a last minute thing but if any of you would like to come along to the Mommba Parade, feel free to come along and join Christian Gatherings.
The Moomba Parade is one of the highlights of the Moomba Festival. It features a massive array of floats, dance troupes, community performance groups.
The Parade starts at the Shrine of Remembrance, runs along Birdwood Avenue and finishes at Linlithgow Avenue.
We’ll meet at the Australian in front of the Australian Hellenic Memorial at 10:10am (Look for a very tall man in with a dark blue hat and head down to get our positions to watch the parade at around 10:30am.
We’ll watch the parade (about 1 hour) before heading down to the Southgate food court for a casual lunch at around midday.
As it the custom with Christian Gatherings, at the lunch, we will have a short conversation with a Christian theme.
Given that this is Labour day (celebration of the 38-hour work week), I thought we would have a conversation about work and rest.
So the topic is: “What do you feel about work and rest? What do you feel is the role of work in our lives and the role of rest in our lives?”
What to bring:
· hat/sunscreen (weather prediction is warm, shade is limited whilst watching the parade)
· snacks/drink/water etc. for yourselves whilst watching the parade
· money etc. to buy your lunch (optional) at Southgate food court

Philosophy Roundtable: How to live the 'Good Life'?
Please join us this Sunday as we discuss how to live the good life. Ilya will be leading this session.
**We will meet at the Queensberry Hotel, 593 Swanston Street, Carlton (100m north of previous location) at 2pm for a 2:15pm start sharp.**
**We kindly ask attendees to pay $5 to attend to help with MeetUp costs & venue costs. This is not mandatory, but if you are a regular member it would be appreciated. Any extra moneys will go towards buying food and drinks for the table. The venue also expects us to spend money as a group, so grateful if everyone could buy a drink from the venue.**
There is no pre-requisite preparation necessary, nor a philosophical background, all that is required is a curious mind. These discussions are both a Socrates Cafe style discussion and lively metaphysical dojo, in the spirit of learning and friendly debate, so please feel free to challenge assumptions and be prepared to have your own assumptions challenged.
Find below some questions to consider, however these are free-ranging events and the below serve as a springboard for the discussion:
**Happiness: a trap?**
1\. Is being happy the same thing as having a Good Life?
2\. If you could be plugged into a "happiness machine" that gave you
nothing but blissful experiences, would you do it?
3\. Is happiness the right goal\, or a side effect of living well?
4\. Can a Good Life include significant amounts of suffering\, if that
suffering is meaningful?
**Meaning and purpose**
5\. Can a life be good if it is lived pursuing whatever we want in the
moment, without a long-term goal or overarching personal narrative?
6\. What makes a given pursuit ‘purposeful’?
7\. Does the fact that we die make life more or less meaningful?
8\. Is the meaning of life to give life meaning?
**Being authentic and agentic**
9\. How much of our life and identity is a performance for others and
society? Does this inhibit living the Good Life?
10\. Is it important to feel in control of our lives and exercising a high
degree of personal agency, rather than following some kind of social
script?
11\. Would you feel most fulfilled if you were able to live in a way that is
‘true to yourself’ (without high regard for the expectations of others)?
**Keepin’ busy**
12\. Should a Good Life be easy?
13\. Could pure leisure \(no work\, no struggle\) comprise a Good Life?
14\. Does "meaningful" activity have to be productive\, or can hobbies and
pursuing individual interests be at the centre of a Good Life?
15\. Are some kinds of leisure inherently more conducive to the Good Life
than others (eg. watching Netflix vs reading Dostoevsky)
**What about other people?**
16\. Are certain kinds of relationships a mandatory ingredient for a Good
Life?
17\. Does having children provide a path to fulfilment and meaning?
18\. Does performing some kind of sacrifice \(time\, effort\, money etc\.\) for
the benefit of the community or future generations help us feel that
we are living the Good Life?
Hope to see you there!

Columbus: A Study In Psalms--Psalm 3 and 4
Most people would agree that a great night's sleep is one of the sweetest experiences in life. Crawling into a wonderfully comfortable bed, drifting off to peaceful slumber, and awaking, feeling refreshed, energized, and ready for the day is a gift everyone welcomes. Unfortunately, nights of perfect sleep and restfulness can seem scarce. Particularly, during the truly hard times in life, good sleep can seem an impossibility.
The ancient shepherd-crowned-king, David, knew more than the average person about the challenge of getting a good night's sleep in the midst of being falsely maligned, hunted by enemies, and attacked by those who wanted him dead. He understood the terror of running for his life, and having thousands call for his death. What was his answer? Where could a man on the run find peace? What hope was there for a person in such circumstances?
David's hope and peace were found in the One Who he knew was Perfect Truth, Justice, Mercy, and Grace, the God Who had delivered His people before and Who would do so again, and again, and again. Because of God's provision David twice details that even in the midst of his enemies, he would "lie down and sleep, and wake again."
Psalm 3 and 4 point us to the hope in which those who follow after the Lord can be confident--that from the Lord comes deliverance. Join us at **6:30 pm, Tuesday, March 17, 2026, at True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center**, and be encouraged from God's Word!

Sunday Brunch
Sleep in on Sundays. When you've had your fill of pajama-time, roll out and have some tasty brunch with your fellow Humanists!
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event.
Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk.
Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association:
They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved.
Going forward our meetings will be hybrid. You can meet us in-person or attend online
