Si te ayudan a entender más y a hablar mejor están genial. El plan de este grupo es mejorar tu español con juegos, actividades reales y ejercicios para hablar más. Con la excusa de los juegos y las actividades corregimos la mayoría de errores: Palabras difíciles, confundir pasados, preposiciones, verbos que significan muchas cosas, ser y estar en pasado, frases con dos verbos o mas, subjuntivo, expresiones coloquiales, y también los errores "culturales”: ¿De que forma usamos los españoles el idioma en diferentes situaciones? La gente que participa es (casi siempre) muy simpática, y normalmente deja reviews muy positivas de las clases. Si te cuadra el plan ven a practicar tu español y hablamos de comida, de viajes, de trabajo, de cultura, de Internet, de temas locales, de noticias y de muchas más cosas. Join us for a Japanese Book Fair + Ramen Meetup! We’ll browse the used Japanese Book Fair together at Yokoso Center, then head next door to Tensuke Ramen from 5–6 PM to enjoy ramen and other Japanese dishes. After we eat, we’ll hang out and play a few casual games. Come for books, stay for food and community, open to all!

While some are still meeting online, this is an in person event. Please note that we have attendees of all levels of speaking, including some native speakers. All are welcome! Also, as we meet at the same time and place each week, many don’t RSVP on the app, so we will likely have more attendees than noted here. Note: if you are asked to pay and upgrade the Meetup app, this is not necessary. You can ignore this and still attend our meetings.

Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
