Like Improv Storytelling, Music or singing? In this session we will combine these elements to create an improvised musical blending the story of theatre, the fun of improv and the magic of music. We'll start off with some singing and improv warm up activities, do a quick rundown of sorry structure, suggest a topic and then get into exploring the world and characters a (musical) scene at a time, hopefully reaching some sort of satisfying conclusion! Depending on interest, we may take turns acting and singing in the scene and being musicians. It's all very amateur so if you have basic level improv or musical skills you're most welcome to join! I will bring a keyboard and acoustic guitar, but BYO other instruments, voice and snacks. Last time it was a lot of fun, so we hope to recreate that magic again! attendance fee is $10, payable on the day Some level of exposure to music, improv theatre, role-playing or similar is recommended but not compulsory. Also, if you do plan on coming, us know instrument if any you're wanting to bring! However just bringing your voice is fine as well. See you there! P.S. About the Walk: We'll be exploring the beautiful lake circuit trail at Karkarook Park, one of Melbourne's hidden gems. This peaceful 58-hectare park features scenic lakes, wetlands, lush greenery, and abundant birdlife. The walking paths are well-maintained and suitable for all fitness levels, making it perfect for a leisurely Sunday morning stroll. What to Expect: * Scenic lakeside walking trails with beautiful water views * Peaceful natural surroundings with native birds and wildlife * Casual conversation and the chance to meet like-minded people * Plenty of spots to pause and enjoy the scenery * Fresh air and good vibes! What to Bring: Water bottle to stay hydrated Comfortable walking shoes (paths are mostly flat but wear appropriate footwear) A fun, friendly attitude and openness to chat! Parking & Facilities: Free parking is available at the park (entrance off Warrigal Rd). There are public toilets, BBQ facilities, and picnic areas available. Note: Parking can fill up quickly on nice days, so arriving a bit early is recommended. **Meeting Point: We'll meet at the main car park near the lake. **‍♀️**Welcome to our Tuesday Social + language ​exchange meetup. Meet people from many countries and make new friends. We always have between 100 - 150 people attending our Tuesday event since this event is listed in 3 different meetup groups. Some people come early some come late, best time is between 6pm to 9pm. This is a great opportunity to learn to speak English with native and non-native speakers. Many English speakers, Europeans, Chinese, Japanese, Koreans, and other Asians attend our fun and friendly party. It is suitable for international students, working holiday people, professional ex-pats, and local Australians.

Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner.
