This Spring Check-in is a follow up to the manifestation seminar Papa Bones Moon led on New Year’s Eve, as we gather as an accountability tribe to give each person space to talk the group through their personal manifestation boards and share how their journey has progressed over the past three months. As a little background... after discussing different ways to express manifestation during the NYE manifestation seminar... everyone then created a board using an eclectic combination of mind mapping, circles of life, the chakras, and 2026 bingo cards; aided by a pull from the Work Your Light Oracle Deck supported by a variety of colorful stickers and other print media different people brought. And although this event is primarily focused on NYE attendees... this is an opportunity for newcomers to discover if creating a manifestation board might be something that could add focus and direction to help turn desires into reality for their lives as well, since it's never too late to start manifesting the change we want to bring about in our lives. As you all remember well, this event used to bring out hundreds of people every week. However, it was discontinued last year for obvious reasons and we couldn't gather that many people now, because of restrictions. Hence, we are downsizing and caping the number of attendees. During this unprecedented time we were in lockdowns/confinements and we were not able to stay in touch with our old friends (as we used to) and couldn't make new ones. That is why we came up with the FRIENDING part. We have a lot in common :- We speak different languages, we represent different cultures, we lived/travelled to different countries, we appreciate different accents, we are internationally minded. HOW IT WORKS : We will try to assign tables for each represented languages and will direct attendees to their respective tables accordingly. All languages are welcome! However we don't guarantee the availability of a partner in that particular language, you would like to exchange. After the formal session, we will rotate attendees from table to table. So that everyone meets everyone. During this session, we use our Lingua Franca, i.e, English. This weekend is peak blossom. TIME IS TIME TO REACH THE JEFFERSON BASED ON WHEN AND WHERE YOU FIND PARKING. We will gather at the Jefferson Memorial at 11:30 am. From the memorial we will keep our traditional path if allowed all the way to the MLK starting around noon. Keep in mind parking and traffic can be a nightmare so we will try to go on the weekend the weather forecast looks best. I am tentatively putting it the same weekend as the 10 Miler since parking turns over as soon as the race ends. Please join the [Veg Society of DC (VSDC)](vsdc.org) with your fellow LGBTQ+ veg and veg-curious folks for a springtime stroll to take in some of the beautiful cherry blossoms on Capitol Hill while making some new friends. We'll be **meeting at the [Union Station metro](https://www.wmata.com/rider-guide/stations/union-station.cfm) exit at the front of the building at First St. NE and Columbus Cir. NE *at 12pm, and will leave by 12:15pm,*** to slowly stroll through cherry blossoms at Lower Senate Park. From there, we'll make our way over to view a very old cherry blossom tree (one of the originally gifted trees) located on the grounds of the Library of Congress. We will then walk to Eastern Market area to enjoy browsing the outdoor market vendors and maybe grab some vegan food and/or coffee, depending on how the group feels. The total distance we will be walking is under two miles.
