Thank you for your understanding! This workshop is for our aerial students aged 6 to 11+. We will introduce (or remind) students how to properly and safely use the aerial hammock to get their practice going! We will go over basic wraps, hangs and shapes, preparing them for other classes on the schedule. This class is limited to 12 students. This workshop is a prerequisite to kids aerial dance. Join GRASP for food, socializing, and field games (e.g., relay races, water balloon toss, sack races, egg and spoon race, tug of war, etc..) this Memorial Day! **What**: GRASP Memorial Day BBQ and Field Games **When**: Monday, May 25, 12:00pm-3:00pm **Who**: This is a kid-friendly event meaning **everyone is invited**, with or without kids! **Where**: Seneca Creek State Park, Buck Pavilion on Deer Ridge Rd. Due to the possibility of park capacity closures, **you may need to know the shelter and renter’s name** to gain entry into the park: **Buck Pavilion, Eli Winningham**. **Cost**: Admission to the park is $3 for Maryland residents and $5 for non-residents. Otherwise, the **event is FREE** and we encourage you to come as our guest. Hello again! After a long hiatus, the Monday meet up at Nanny O’Briens is back! We’ll have some games to play, but feel free to bring your favorites as well. Stop by for a game and a drink, and say hello! We’ll be in the back room. Other info: Nanny O'Brien's is allowing us to use their back room for some board game socializing. Please reciprocate their generosity by purchasing food and drinks. Free street parking starts at 6:30 in most areas (make sure to read the signs). If you're taking the metro, take the red line to Cleveland Park and walk two blocks southwest on Connecticut (we are located next to CVS).

The pickleball courts are situated on the far side of the playground, past the swing sets and picnic area. These courts (are] strictly on a first-come, first-served basis, and we do not offer reservation for public use. The courts are frequently unoccupied, but sometimes few people utilize the courts. The [Pedro Sauer Academy of Self-Defense](https://pedrosaueracademy.com/) (PSA) [Youth Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program](https://www.pedrosaueracademy.com/kids-jiu-jitsu-herndon-va/) is designed to help children build **confidence**, **coordination**, and **practical [self-defense](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-defense) skills** in a **safe**, **structured**, and **positive environment**. This [Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Brazilian_jiu-jitsu) (BJJ) class is for students **six** to **thirteen** years of age and runs from **5:15 PM** to **6:00 PM**, providing a **focused**, **age-appropriate training session** that fits well into an after-school routine.
