PCE - Philosophic Conversation in English
PCE - Philosophic Conversation in English
PCE - "Philosophic Conversation in English" is a discussion event in English language which focuses on psychology, philosophy, self-consciousness and self-realization. The conversation is based on inclusive discussion rules. We will meet at at a restaurant where we will have a private room exclusively reserved for our event. At the beginning we will choose the topic to discuss. Everybody can suggest a topic. Then we will vote what topic to discuss. The person who suggested the winning topic will then explain his/her idea of the topic. Afterwards everybody gets his/her chance to make a statement. But you can also decide to remain silent and only listen, if you prefer that. We have a time limit for statements, so that everybody has enough time to speak. It is not allowed to interrupt somebody who is speaking. After a statement everybody can ask a question and the speaker will answer. After the first part there will be a 10 minutes break. When we start again, we will decide (by voting) either to go on with the same topic for the second part or to switch to the topic with the second or the one with the third most votes. Everybody is welcome to our event: We are interested in your thoughts and opinions! It is no problem if you arrive late and you can also leave whenever you want. Please check out last event's topics via this link: http://pce-topic.project-website.org (Please try to bring some cash to the event if possible as Café Walletschek accepts credit card payment only from 10 euro and there were some issues with foreign cards.)

Innate Dance Class
Innate Dance Class
**What is Innate Dance?** Innate Dance is a joyful approach to movement, which invites deeper embodiment and self-connection through butoh inspired movement, Noguchi Taiso exercises, the Seki Method, somatic attention and imagination. We shake it out, breaking up stuck energy held in the body, and explore new movement possibilities from a place of alignment and sensitivity. Thanks to our open awareness we can be surprised by lesser-known parts of ourselves and come to appreciate our innate wisdom in movement. Through exercises, explorations and improvisations we build trust in the body that knows how it would like to move and express itself, and when we follow our innate dance, it just feels good! There is also time and space to dance freely, to enjoy the music in your body and to let go! Ultimately, it's about feeling more 'in' our body and grounding joy. **When? Where? How much?** **Mondays 19:30-21:00** in Studio 2, Tanz\*Hotel, Zirkusgasse 35, 1020 Wien Try out € 16\,\- \| One class drop\-in € 21\,\- \| Student € 10\,\- \| 5 x class pass €95\,\- \| 1 x class pass for rest of semester € 224\,\- \(or €16/class\) **Who teaches the course?** Jess is a dancer and psychotherapist (humanistic and integrative), who loves shaping classes that offer the space to explore the many facets of being human. Sometimes this learning involves physically embodying non-humans like trees, fish and wind, so we can get out of our limited-human-thinking-mind and into the bigger wisdom available through imagination and our body. At other times it's about dancing textures, sensations or taking on the energy of parts of ourselves so we can know them better. Jess has danced all her life and has been exploring butoh dance for the past eleven years alongside her psychotherapeutic practice. She is co-author of *The Seki Method - Basics* (now available to buy online via website), is a Seki Method Facilitator, and was a 2024 student at the Im_Flieger Schule researching dance and healing.
Contact Improvisation Winter Intensive
Contact Improvisation Winter Intensive
## CI Winter Intensive // **Somatic Skills into Contact Improvisation** The Winter Intensive invites you to dive – *from the ground up* and within a small group – into the wisdom of your body and into the world of Contact Improvisation as an art form. During the mornings, you will explore how the body organizes itself in dance and how to generate flow and momentum through your own body weight. Through *hands-on* partner work and guided improvisation, we awaken the connective tissues and refine body awareness, sensing connections within the body. We dance short phrases on the floor and through all spatial levels, while nourishing your individual and free expression in dance. In the evenings, these felt and embodied insights are applied in dancing with shared weight. Through practices drawn from somatic systems, experiential anatomy and biomechanics, impulses from Eastern traditions, release technique, and kinetic imagery, you are invited into a powerful embodied experience—one that strengthens and inspires you, and offers impulses and tools that reach far beyond the dance floor. *** ## FOR WHOM The Winter Intensive is for everyone who… * is curious about a new form of movement-based encounter and playful exploration * wants to get a taste of contemporary dance grounded in somatic learning, anatomy in motion, and kinetic imagery * wishes to learn solid **somatic skills**\* for the practice of Contact Improvisation * wants to train and dance over several consecutive days to sustainably elevate both skills and practice * longs for an unforgettable, movement-based group experience ## WHEN **February 23–27, 2026** 10:00–12:30 and 18:00–19:30 Friday afternoon/evening: **Jam & Dinner**, closing gathering *** ## WHERE Bewegungsraum Hockegasse 37, 1180 Vienna Studio 11 A kitchen and a cozy common space (Studio 11) are available for resting if you wish to stay on site between sessions; staying over night in the studio if you come from abroad is also possible; *** **How Much:** €299 regular *(incl. Fellowship of the Western Mysteries Monthly Pub Moot!
Fellowship of the Western Mysteries Monthly Pub Moot!
**Monthly "Pub Moot" and Lecture Series- *in English*** Pub Moots will generally be held on the **4th Wednesday** of every month. Sometimes there will be exceptions based on what is going on, so make sure to check back here on Meetup for the exact information All are welcome- experienced practioners, newbies, merely curious, Wiccans and Wiccan-curious and practitioners of similar traditions and those who have no idea why they want to come but just do and even those who don't know a thing but simply like Harry Potter and Lord of the Rings and suchlike... :-) **This Month’s Topic: The Wetiko mind virus - Are we living in a collective mass psychosis?** Have you ever felt that something in our perception of reality seems fundamentally wrong, that something just feels off, but maybe you cannot pinpoint it? What sounds like the Matrix might have a very real basis. In this talk we will explore the radical ideas based on the books of author Paul Levi inspired by the scientific work of Jack D. Forbes and Native American folklore. We will investigate the modern notion of the Wetiko disease, how it relates to troubles in personal and global human affairs, to religion and spirituality, to Jungian and body psychology and to the evermore apparent mental health crisis. And finally we will discuss some approaches that will hopefully enable us to heal this unknown sickness and awaken from our personal and collective nightmares. **General schedule of the evening:** 19:00- 19:30- Meetup, time to eat and socialize 19:30- 20:30- Lecture and Discussion 20:30-21:00 and beyond- Open discussion and more socializing- eat, drink, and be merry! **Attendance is free** but you will need to buy something at the pub. :-) *(The Pub is old-school Austrian and cash-only, so bring paper money! :-))*

🎳 Let’s play skittles! „Queer Kegeln“
🎳 Let’s play skittles! „Queer Kegeln“
Join our monthly “Queer Kegelabend”, which is mostly a pure fun event with a slight sportive touch. No previous experience required. Beginners and all genders most welcome! It is our ambition to welcome a broadly diversified crowd! Your own omfortable footwear might contribute to an enjoyable evening. **Schedule:** 1. 19:20 Get together 2. 19:25 Instructions (including safety), line-up of participants 3. 19:30 Getting started * *Latecomers unfortunately can´t be admitted.* * *Please bring a few EUR 1 coins to keep the coin operated machinery going.* There is no drinks or food service in the basement (Kegelbahn) of Café Weidinger. So feel free to order something on arrival and take it downstairs before we get started. Alternatively bring your own drinks or food. Yes, this is possible! Its chatting, meeting (new) people, catching-up with the ones you might already know from our monthly MeetUps at the HIVE or other events. Communication is key, like always. Let’s enjoy a nice evening together with a modest sportive touch on the side! **Please show respect to the others and arrive on time.** As we need to line-up the players before getting starteted, hence late comers unfortunately can´t be admitted. **What is skittles play (Kegeln)?** Skittles play has a very long tradition in Europe and is the game before the Americans "invented" bowling. So we will play with 9 pins and smaller balls with less weight compared to bowling. **Costs:** To rent the skittle alley is just EUR 8 per hour for the whole group. We will divide costs by the number of participants. So expect a contribution of around *EUR 2-3 for the whole evening*. The number of participants is limited. The machinery of the skittle alley is coin operated and accepts EUR 1 coins only. So please bring along a few EUR 1 coins to keep the machinery going! **Participation Fee:** To help cover the Meetup maintenance fee, we recommend a donation of 1-2 Euros directly to the organizers. **Results:** The results of the evening (Igo is so kind to count the scores and enters theses for each participant in a spreadsheet) are published in the "pictures" area of the MeetUp. Historic results are availble there. **Cafe Weidinger** has not been renovated over the last at least 50 years. The skittles alley dates from 1964. You can feel this "special flair". A bit shaby, but inexpensive fun for a whole evening. It´s almost a museum of a skittles alley. **The difference between bowling and skittles play**: * The bowling lanes are covered with an oil film, the skittles lane is not. * In bowling, the ball is is considerably larger and heavier. * Bowling lanes are slightly curved, our lane is flat. * Bowling balls have three holes, our balls have none, one or two. Most of our balls have two holes. * Nine pins are thrown instead of ten. * In bowling, the pins are set up by so-called pin-setter machines and therefore stand freely in contrast to skittles, where the pins hang from strings. * Our skittles lane is an asphalt lane. * You do not need to rent or bring special shoes llike for bowling. But to play in sneakers or sportive footwear is more comfortable.

But seventeen-year-old Odile has a plan. All her life, her father, a vengeful sorcerer, has raised her for one singular task: infiltrate the royal palace and steal the king’s crown, an artefact with enough power to restore magic. But to enter the palace, she must assume the identity of a noblewoman. She chooses Marie d’Odette: famed for her beauty, a rumored candidate for future queen…and Odile’s childhood-friend-turned-sworn-enemy. With her father’s help, Odile transforms Marie into a swan and takes her place at court. But when the king is brutally murdered and her own brother is accused, her plans are thrown into chaos. Desperate to free her brother, Odile is forced to team up with none other than elegant, infuriating Marie, the girl she has cursed…and the girl she can’t seem to stop thinking about despite her best efforts. To make matters worse, there are whispers that the king’s murder was not at the hands of man, but beast. Torn between loyalty to her father and her growing feelings for Marie, Odile becomes tangled in a web of treachery and deceit. To save her kingdom, she must find the true path to magic…and find the real killer before they—or it—strikes again.
