Presence & Real-Life Connection
Presence & Real-Life Connection
Hello dear soul, Everyone is welcome, although I only speak Dutch, English and German. *When there is bad weather, I may cancel the event as we spend most of our time outside.* **Have you ever experienced that moment where you noticed someone in everyday life with that beautiful energy,** in a cafĂ©, on the street, or in a public space **and felt the impulse to connect**, but hesitated? Your heart starts beating faster, and **somewhere you know what to do.** But then you notice a moment of tension, overthinking, or self-doubt. Thoughts and stories enter you head. “Today is not the day.” “I can’t leave my friends right now.” “What will people think of me?” “This is not socially accepted.” or even “This person might get super angry” None of these stories are yours. You are nothing less than beautiful love and light. And where you are conscious of that love and light, fear cannot rule over you. This event invites you to start listening to your heart instead of that fear. We will ground, breath and flow. From there, we will gently step into real-life situations and practice starting simple, respectful conversations with people we encounter, always optional, always conscious, and always within your own boundaries. This gathering is **not** about dating strategies, persuasion, or performance. **There are no** pick-up techniques, no manipulation, and no pressure to interact beyond your own boundaries. Instead this event focuses on: * presence in social situations * awareness of inner responses such as tension or hesitation * authentic communication without force or expectation * creating ease in human interaction I hold the space with care, respect and softness. You can land here and you are welcome exactly as you are. Together we feel into your patterns and what is holding you back to experience that free feeling. This event is a way to feel your nervoussystem and your heart. To become more consciously aware. When you flow and feel, beautiful situations can arise. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **About me:** My name is Niek and I have over 9 years expererience in the field of self-development. Through years of training, plant medicine work, hypnosis, meditation and different integration techniques, I have intuitively developed a grounded way of holding space. I have experienced both the darker, ego-driven sides of this work, as well as the grounded, genuine, and healing aspects of it. That’s the approach I work from. Over time I have supported many individuals in navigating personal blocks, identity patterns and deeper integration processes, including through my work with Kambo. That’s the space I bring into these gatherings. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- *My time is precious.* *If you RSVP and don’t show up without communication, you won’t be able to join future events.* \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **Do you really want to take a deep dive and let go of what no longer serves you?** **Signup for a Kambo Ceremony with me.** [https://linktr.ee/KamboFreedom.Niek](https://linktr.ee/KamboFreedom.Niek) \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **For free and contribution:** This event is free for first time participants. Come and experience it for yourself and feel whether this space supports you on your journey. If you would like to join a second time, the contribution is €45 per person, paid in cash. Events take around 3-4 hours. I keep my groups intentionally small so I can give personal attention to everyone present. \-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\- **Personal trajectories:** I also offer 1 to 1 trajectories and 1 to 2 trajectories, for example together with a friend. In these longer containers, we move step by step, creating depth, clarity and real integration. We explore what may be holding you back, reconnect you with your essence and your heart’s true desires, and open a grounded pathway for that energy to flow into your life. Based on your timeframe, needs and intentions, I will create a personalized proposal that supports your process.

12 Km full moon walk from Tervueren terminus tram 44
The moon will be close to full. Weather forecast is good, sky should be clear, sunset at 18:22, moonrise at 14:33. We start walking at 19:00, till 22:00, about 12 km. **Getting there:** This hike is a loop. Start is easy to reach by tram 44. There is as well a parking if you come by car. For information, you can find the track here : https://www.komoot.com/tour/1478925933?share_token=agkQs0GGghs3iE5CEnvE0aV7QjcK8qRYwCkjnbV1omSj2sQ1Yo&ref=wtd **Meeting point** is Saturday 28/2 at 19:00. We start walking at 19:15. Be sure to eat before the hike or to bring some food that you can eat during the hike. Please pack at least 1.0 L of water, along with some snacks to keep our energy up, and wear good walking shoes. We will walk on unpaved and paved roads through parc, woods and countryside. We will walk at a medium pace, 5 km/h on average while walking. Please bring water and some snacks. The purpose is to enjoy full moon light as much as possible and the sky should be mostly clear. Neverthless you must foresee **a lamp** as some part may be dark due to trees/leaves/clouds and moonlight can be insufficient in the middle of the forest. For your convenience and safety, ensure your GSM battery is fully charged. It’s also a good idea to bring an extra fully charged battery pack with you, just in case. Notice : by local rules, in Sonian Forest and in the parc, dogs should be kept on a leash. **Weather** Check the weather forecast upfront and dress accordingly. The weather forecast seems ok : no rain and no (or very little đŸ€ž) clouds Temperature will drop **from 10°C (and sunny) to 7°C (and no sun!).** Please dress accordingly, layering up to stay warm yet comfortable throughout the hike. www.meteo.be - www.buienradar.be \- Sunset at 18:22 \- Moonrise at 14:33 Consider that it is really dark one hour after sunset so around 19:20 **WhatsApp "share live location"** When participating in our hikes, you should understand how to use the WhatsApp function "share live location". If you don't know what I am talking about, google for it and practice at home. WhatsApp "share live location" is very handy in case you remain behind, arrive late or just get lost. **A reminder on the event etiquette (and on good manners in general)** Register only if you are reasonably motivated to participate. As a matter of courtesy towards the people on the waiting list, if you are unable to come, cancel as soon as possible. **Any questions?** Post a comment or send me a message. If you don't find us or if you are late call me at **0485/54 34 15 (Vincent)**, I will then share live location on WhatsApp. **Acknowledgement of member responsibility and release of liability** You should be fit enough if you want to take part, and you are responsible for yourself and your safety. Know your limits and choose to participate or not accordingly. The organizers in this group are all volunteers. By signing up for this event, you agree to release the organizers/hosts from any responsibility/liability. If you don’t agree with these terms, do not join.
Deep Conversation&Drinks Meetup [at Peperfabriek] -- Topic Chosen in Session
Deep Conversation&Drinks Meetup [at Peperfabriek] -- Topic Chosen in Session
Welcome to our weekly event at Peperfabriek! Breughelstraat 33, 2018. I'm usually at that entrance lobby until 4 05. After introductions we will collect questions from the group participants, choose one by voting then discuss it for an hour. Then most of us stay for drinks and bizarre conversations. Past questions have been wide and not confined to academic philosophy: What is a genuine friend? Is social media turning us into emotional zombies? Do we lose some of the experience of things by defining them? Are we driven by sex? Is loneliness a personal failure? Is morality relative?

Contact improvisation dance fundamentals
Contact improvisation dance fundamentals
**Level:** All levels, open to beginners Contact Improvisation (CI) is an open, welcoming movement practice where we come together to explore how our bodies communicate through touch, shared weight, and physical awareness. It began in the United States in 1972, developed by dancer and choreographer Steve Paxton, and draws inspiration from modern dance, aikido, and somatic practices. At its core, CI is about listening — to gravity, momentum, and each other. We follow what happens in real time: leaning, lifting, rolling, falling, and finding balance together. There’s structure, but no fixed choreography. It’s playful, physical, and deeply responsive. You don’t need to be a professional dancer to take part. CI welcomes experienced movers and complete beginners alike. If you’re curious, willing to stay present, and open to exploration, you’re in the right place. Programme: **Workshop 1:** Exploring contact (by Patryk KƂos) How to communicate & listen through touch? We will explore the physical contact as a communication tool and through simple tasks develop an understanding of its possibilities and limitations. **Workshop 2:** Three’s company: you, me, and the music (by Agnieszka Pietruczuk) In this workshop, we treat music as a third dance partner that supports, inspires, and gently challenges our movement. We’ll explore easy, playful ways to listen to music together and let it enrich both the dance and the connection with our partner. The focus is on curiosity and enjoyment, using music to spark more creative, alive, and connected dances. **BIG Jam (60 min)** More info and registration: https://fusion-circus.com/events/contact-improv-feb26/

Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.* *Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.* *I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.* *In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.* **THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON SATURDAY!** **LOCATION:** ChĂąteau Moderne Mont des Arts 1 1000 Bruxelles

Deep Conversation-- Question Chosen in Session
Welcome to our weekly event in the upstairs room of The Sister Café, rue Chair et Pain 3, one block from the Grand Place. Please get there early enough to order your drink at the bar first. Thank you! **Crucially, be kind and respectful and generous** in your disagreements; remember how much you personally enjoy someone else proving you wrong before celebrating your cutting counterexamples.
Omshana Gathering: Seeds of Connection
Omshana Gathering: Seeds of Connection
# **About Event** As winter begins to lift, a new energy is stirring. On **March 1st**, we gather at the Shanti Dîme to honor this transition—moving from the quiet of the inner world back toward the warmth of human connection. This gathering is a living room for the soul. We’ve designed a flow that moves in waves, guiding us from our inner world into the heart of the community: * **The Ritual of Opening:** We begin by grounding ourselves in the beauty of the Dîme. With a cup of ceremonial cacao as our companion, we’ll quiet the outside noise and listen to what is ready to grow within us this season. * **The Shared Resonance:** From silence, we move into a collective vibration. Guided by our **Architect of Sound**, we will weave a living chorus together. You will receive your own unique thread of sound—a personalized "sonic instruction"—that contributes to a larger, powerful harmony. * **The Art of Being Seen:** This is our core practice for the afternoon—a fluid dance between presence and curiosity. Within the room, you will navigate a landscape of **Anchors** and **Travelers**. It is an intuitive journey of following your attraction, crossing paths with others, and discovering the stories waiting beneath the surface. * **The Time to Shine:** Finally, the structure dissolves completely. The floor is yours to mingle, follow up on a spark of conversation, or simply enjoy the company of a community that values authenticity over small talk. Come as you are. Bring your curiosity. Let’s see what grows. \*\*\* **🕓 Journey Timeline** *Please note: We begin at 15:00 sharp to honor the collective flow.* * **14:45:** Arrival & Settling In * **15:00:** Intro & Landing * **15:15:** Cacao Serving * **15:45:** Shared Resonance * **16:15:** The Art of Being Seen * **16:45:** Time to Shine (Socializing) * **17:45:** Closing Circle * **18:00:** Departure \*\*\* **📍 Practical Details** * **Language:** 🇬🇧 English (Translation in **FR/ES/NL** available upon request). * **Location:** [Shanti Dîme - Yoga Center](https://maps.app.goo.gl/eP8qAVk7vVcnZ97t6) * **Website:** [omshana.com](https://omshana.com/) & [https://shantidome.be](https://shantidome.be/) **Energy Exchange:** * **Very Early Bird:** 15€ (Available until Feb 8) * **Early Bird:** 20€ (Available until Feb 22) * **Regular:** 25€ **Ticket here: [LUMA LINK](https://luma.com/3u3lwcrg?fbclid=IwY2xjawP-rvpleHRuA2FlbQIxMABicmlkETF2MEtoMkVvN25YTFFxZm1Jc3J0YwZhcHBfaWQQMjIyMDM5MTc4ODIwMDg5MgABHiQDWRxB17grbYCxykzUujuT95IewNR1ObIMZr4JatEDfAim_GhkWKLKOz98_aem_rKD7kauCqkcKwQBAN9TCXw)** \*\*\* **💛 Stay Connected** Join our community to keep the connection alive beyond the gathering: * **WhatsApp:** [Join the Community](https://chat.whatsapp.com/IdDdk9G8damKjV787DwDbN) * **Facebook:** [Join the Group](https://www.facebook.com/groups/omshana)

Ruins Abbey of Villers (Villers-La-Ville to Ottignies, 25km)
Ruins Abbey of Villers (Villers-La-Ville to Ottignies, 25km)
On Sunday I am proposing a hike close to Brussels. We will start in the tiny village Villers-La-Ville, which is known for its impressive ruins of a former abbey. Subsequently, we will walk through a forest and agricultural areas. This region also has wine producers, so we might also encounter some vineyards on the way. At our destination Ottignies we will probably find an open bar for a drink. As the number of participants is limited, it is important that you manage your registration responsibly: only sign up if you really intend to come and cancel as soon as you know you can’t (this also goes for people on the waiting list!). We will try to keep close to an average speed of about 5 km/h. We will walk mainly on unpaved roads. I’ve not tested this track beforehand, so it’s possible that there are some mistakes in the planning. ●●You can find the track here: https://loc.wiki/t/252023497?wa=sc ●●Meeting point: We meet at 10h40 in Villers-La-Ville (in front of the railway station). If you start from Brussels-Central, you should take train IC 2109 towards Marbehan at 9h37. In Ottignies you have eight minutes to change to train S61 4560 direction Jambes at 10h23. You should get out in Villers-La-Ville. In Brussels, you can find me in the first car of the train. ●● Train tickets: Return ticket Brussels-Villers should be fine. ●● Back to Brussels: In Ottignies there is at least one direct train per hour back to Brussels. ●● Specifics: Distance: ca 25km Elevation gain: 300m Net walking time: ca 5-6h Weather forecast: Probably dry. In the unlikely case of too bad weather, we may cancel a hike, even few hours before the event. If this must happen, we will of course update the Meetup website and send out an email to those registered. So it is important to have access to either the [[[[[[Meetup.com](http://meetup.com/)]([http://meetup.com/](http://meetup.com/))]([http://meetup.com/](http://meetup.com/))]([http://meetup.com/](http://meetup.com/))]([http://meetup.com/](http://meetup.com/))]([http://meetup.com/](http://meetup.com/)) website and/or your emails. ●● What to bring: * Comfortable hiking clothes &shoes * rain gear (just in case) * water + food for the breaks * sun cream * Compeed for blisters * some small money for drinks ●● Basic rules: Please RSVP only if you really intend to come. And if your plans change, update your RSVP asap, even hours before the walk. This is basic courtesy towards others. Repeated late cancellations are not well considered (at all). No-shows are even worse. Do not show up for a hike unless you are on the “going” list. ●● Acknowledgement of member responsibility and release of liability: You are responsible for yourself and should be fit enough if you want to take part. As the participation in the events is strictly voluntary and you freely choose to join, it is the responsibility of individuals participating to ensure that they are fit enough and have adequate coverage to protect themselves. By signing up for this event, you agree to release the organisers from any responsibility and liability. Moreover, the organisers aren't tour operators, so they don't feel obliged to answer to every text message or email!

Contra dance with Big Scioty on March 7 - First Congregational Church
Contra dance with Big Scioty on March 7 - First Congregational Church
**Caller: Frank Buschelmann** **Band: The Rosenthorns** **Big Scioty Contra Dance** **temporarily returning to our long ago location for Jan-March - First Congregational Church, 444 E. Broad St., Columbus 43215** WHAT IS CONTRA DANCING? Picture the Grand Ball scenes like you’ve seen in period films such as “Pride and Prejudice”, where the dancers are lined up in long lines, across from each other. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude. THAT’s Contra Dancing! Wear cool and comfortable clothes (you will get warm) and clean shoes that won't mark up our nice wood floor. Be sure to come for the beginner's lesson from 7:30 - 8:00, followed by dancing 8:00 - 10:30. All dances are taught; we will help you learn! Beginners always welcome, no need to bring a partner. Cost is $10.00 adults, $5.00 ages 12-26. Under 12 free. Free parking in church lot. For more information contact me or check out our website: [www.bigscioty.com](http://www.bigscioty.com/) Please bring your own refillable water bottle. Snacks to share are always welcome!
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
Humanist Program: Fighting the Efforts to Insert Religion into Public Education
The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. Food and drinks will be provided at the event. Feel free to show up a little bit early to hang out and talk. Our March speakers are Molly Gaines and Zack Parrish, co-organizers of the Secular Education Association: They will share their story of how a small group of Ohio parents grew into a national organization tracking released-time religious instruction and other church–state issues in public schools. The presentation will cover SEA’s early wins and hard lessons, what we’re seeing nationally right now, and how local advocates can play a meaningful role in protecting public education. Attendees will leave with a clearer understanding of the landscape — and practical ways to get involved. Going forward our meetings will be hybrid.
