The story begins with one of the most famous openings in literature: Gregor Samsa wakes one morning to discover that he has transformed into a gigantic insect. What follows is a strange, unsettling, and surprisingly human exploration of identity, family, duty, isolation, and what it means to be valued by those around us. Both darkly humorous and deeply moving, Metamorphosis has captivated readers for over a century and continues to spark debate, interpretation, and reflection.
