In a world of increasing chaos and noise, there is a growing need for spaces where individuals can go and quieten the mind. The Centre provides a reflective environment. It is a place where one can detach from the daily pressures of life, re-energise the spirit, and reconnect with the inner self.
Retreats and day programs are provided as a community service and all courses concentrate on meditation and spiritual study.
From these weekend and residential retreats and day courses participants can develop personal skills and explore the common spiritual values essential to the restoration of harmony within ourselves and our world. **As one participant described our Centre ‘as a health retreat for the soul’.**

Volleyball Training and Games - Intermediate - B Level (SNHC)
Welcome to Melbourne Volleyball Academy! 🤗
**[[WHAT]]**
This session will be broken into 2 halves, 1st half is training and the 2nd half is games. Please arrive on time as we will start exactly at 5:30 PM.
Our intention is to have this training be the 'next step' after our beginner-level training at North Melbourne Community Centre.
We will be focusing on learning what specific roles on the court entail, improving 'volleyball IQ', breaking bad habits, and building better techniques.
**[[WHERE]]**
The session will be held as State Netball Hockey centre.
Please enter via the main entrance (the entrance with the larger parking lot), we will be on Court 3 & 4, please ask the person at the front desk if you need directions.
**[[WHO]]**
The training is intended for social volleyball players at the intermediate level or 'B' level (for more details on volleyball levels, please visit our site here: https://melbournevolleyballacademy.com.au/skill-levels-explained).
Players are expected to:
* pass freeballs and serve receive consistently
* have some knowledge of 5-1 (1 setter all around) or 6-2 (back row setter only) systems
* help others and have good sportsmanship
If you are a high intermediate (BB) or advanced player (A) you are more than welcome to join but you may find our open play sessions for BB/A level players more suitable.
For players that are at the beginner level, we suggest attending our training on Fridays at North Melbourne Community Centre 6-9PM as beginners may find the drills and level of play too difficult.
Players will be asked to attend a different session if their play is deemed unsafe or if they are not of the appropriate skill level.
**[[HOW MUCH]]**
$24 card payment will be collected on the day via square (EFTPOS) payment.
**[[WHEN]]**
The stadium is booked for 5:30 PM - 8:30 PM. However, feel free to come early and stretch as the stadium is open earlier.
**Last-minute dropouts and no-shows will have a zero-tolerance policy going forward.**
All players are expected to **update their RSVP at least 24 hours** in advance if they are unable to attend. This applies to players on the going list and the waitlist.
**[[THINGS TO BRING]]**
We ask that you bring:
* Water bottle
* Appropriate footwear for indoor court shoes - netball shoes, volleyball shoes, or basketball shoes would be suitable.
* Wear contacts or sports glasses if possible.
**[[OTHER DETAILS]]**
Only those on the “going” list are permitted to play. If you are on the waitlist, or not registered at all, you will not be permitted to play.

Silent Friend - 4:20 p.m. Sunday 5/7 at Cinema Nova
With Lea Seydoux and Tony Leung.
“Immersing yourself in the daze of Silent Friend is like accepting a joyous gift, even if you don’t ultimately believe that plants can or want to communicate with us. With her exquisite new work, Ildikó Enyedi has achieved the improbable goal of making non-human, humanistic cinema that is inclusive and reverent without falling into idolization (of plants) or condemnation (of humans).” The Film Stage.
“Plenty of things happen, but Silent Friend isn’t traditionally plot-driven. It’s a film of sprawling ideas that float around like pollen, with some particles creating marvelous blooms.“ New York Times.
We will meet at the Nova Bar from 3:45 p.m, onwards, please book your tickets early. Stefan - 0437777522
Firelight Festival Night at Docklands
Join me for a night of fire, light and winter warmth at Firelight Festival, Melbourne's free winter festival taking over Docklands for three fiery nights. Think fire performers, a laser and light show, cultural dance, live music and pop-up food trucks all along Harbour Esplanade.
We'll meet at the Cow Up a Tree sculpture at 6:00pm, say hello, then wander into the festival together to soak up the lights, grab some food and see where the night takes us. It's a relaxed, roam-around evening rather than a fixed itinerary — easy to dip in and out of as a group.
This is a casual social meetup arranged so we can head along together. It isn't run by, affiliated with, or endorsed by the City of Melbourne or Firelight Festival. The good news: entry is free and no booking is required, so an RSVP here is just to let me know you're coming — it isn't a ticket and doesn't guarantee anything beyond a friendly group to meet up with.
Solo attendees are very welcome — this is a great one to come along to on your own and meet a few new people.

* Meetup start point: https://maps.app.goo.gl/WZhcK8yYd7HqgEev9
* Festival program: https://firelight.melbourne.vic.gov.au/program/
* Event map: https://firelight.melbourne.vic.gov.au/map/
* Visitor info: https://firelight.melbourne.vic.gov.au/visitor-info/
**Timeline**
* 6:00pm – Meet at the Cow Up a Tree sculpture and say hello
6:15pm – Start exploring the festival together
* 9:00pm – Meetup ends (stay on longer if you wish — the festival runs until 10pm)
**Cost**
Firelight Festival is free and doesn't require bookings. The only thing you'll need money for is food and drinks, so bring some cash or a card if you'd like to eat and drink along the way.
**Transport**
The festival is at Docklands on Harbour Esplanade. The City of Melbourne notes trams on routes 11, 30, 35, 48 and 86 service the area, and that due to road closures some trams along Harbour Esplanade will stop at Flinders West from 3.30pm. Southern Cross Station is a short walk away across the Spencer Street/Bourke Street footbridge.
Heads up: there's an AFL game at Marvel Stadium on Sunday 5 July, so the festival site warns of increased traffic and limited parking. Public transport is the easy option — allow extra travel time and plan ahead.
**Bring**
* Warm layers — it's a winter night outdoors
* An umbrella, just in case (the festival runs rain, hail or shine)
* Cash or card for food and drinks
* Comfy shoes for plenty of walking
**Expect**
* Vibe: festive, lively and atmospheric
* Pace: easy wandering, lots of stopping to look
* Group style: relaxed and social, dip in and out as you like
**Important notes**
* Firelight goes ahead rain, hail or shine, so rug up.
* The festival site can get busy and noisy, so please keep an eye on the group and look after yourself in the crowds.
* If your plans change, please update your RSVP so the numbers stay clear for everyone meeting up.

Tit Retirement Party: Top Surgery Fundraiser
OPEN YOUR SPREADSHEETS AND CHECK YOUR OUTLOOK! It’s time for a send off of our two favourite racks here at Tit Incorporated, two tit retiree’s which will be sorely missed, but necessary to move on to better opportunities, the delicate theatrical mounds of Mx Vergara and the powerful pair from Mx Mascaro. Farewell drinks will begin at 6pm and the party (dancefloor) will start pumping at 8! ([TICKET LINK HERE](https://www.trybooking.com/events/landing/1607294))
Seeing as this is a company event, it will be themed so that everyone is in work (in)appropriate attire, and if you choose to come out of office (siren) uniform, there will be an additional fee, so we suggest coming in uniform x.
We are raising funds for their formal (medical) goodbye, which will be raised from ticket sales, auctions on the night, merch and vendor sales, dances and a raffle, so bring your cash/be ready to do a very professional cash transfer. There will also be performances with audience incorporated efforts so make sure to come ON DOWN!
Their tits have been vital to the company for a combined 23 years, starting their service when they separately commenced puberty, and have been on the clock non stop ever since, so we feel it is important to give them a good send off!
Parking the info here so we can circle back later! BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW!!!!
Please note Pride of our Footscray is only accessible via two flights of stairs. We apologise for our reduced accessibility.

How to Get Over Losses and Betrayls & Build Lasting Relationships
Join us for this free, in person meeting on the subject of betrayals, losses and how to get over them so you can build lasting relationships.
Do you want more motivation and confidence to build lasting relationships?
Are you burdened by a stressful relationship?
Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse.
Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival, while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship.
Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action?
Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships!
Break free from self imposed limitations
Here we will discuss:
• How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes.
• Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you?
• Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it?
• Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love?
• Fights & arguments - what's really behind them?
• What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others?
• How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change?
• Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them?
• How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about?
• How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career?
Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general.
Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person.
Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life.
We look forward to having you join us!
This class is held at the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.

Free In-Person Event: Handle Self-Confidence & Motivation to Achieve Your Goals
This is an in-person meeting.
Would you like to know the Real You, not just a shadow of yourself? Does your life energy feel somehow trapped within? Does your self-confidence get easily shaken? Do you get in the way of your own goals? We will discuss the real source of all this, what holds you back in life, and how to handle it so you can achieve more successful and happier living.
Perhaps you get weighed down with negative emotions you can't seem to shrug off. Or find yourself doing strange and irrational things - not really being yourself. We will cover why that is and tools that work to help you unearth your self, your self-confidence and motivation.
This meeting will help you learn about how to effectively overcome:
-Out-of-control unwanted emotions
-Low self-esteem
-Anxiety
-Negativity
-Stress
-Irrational fears
-Traumatic or painfully emotional incidents
-Breakups
-Betrayals
-Feeling like you're not really yourself
-Self-doubt...
We will discuss how to unleash the inner you and tap into your true potential. So come to this online meetup!
