This is a monthly class designed for guitar players of all levels to fine tune their technique while learning essential skills and concepts. Each class will cover different guitar skills on an accessible level, creating a good foundation for further exploration and practice. **Topics will include:** Right hand technique for strumming and picking Right hand technique for fingerpicking Essential open position scales Chord inversions Improvisation strategies The CAGED System Jazz Chords and More! Each class will start with some basic warmup exercises and move into specifics with a focus on healthy technique, practicing strategies, and producing the best possible sound. They can serve with minimal double faults and demonstrate improving control at the net, successfully blocking volleys and handling slower incoming shots with consistency. The lesson will start with rally drills and then play games to emphasize the rally drills. Finally, we will finish up with service games. Players will constantly hit and move with minimal breaks. We will have selected The Spot Food Hall located one block from the Branch Avenue Metro Station in Camp Springs, MD in southern PG county. This location offers free parking, and is very convenient to the Beltway, Branch Avenue (Rt. 5), Joint Base Andrews, as well as quick access to DC via the Metro Green Line. Since this is our first meetup, we can discuss how we want to move forward. There is no obligation to eat or drink anything, but there are many food and drink option choices if you wish.
