A morning to get your hands dirty, to help look after Las Acacias (https://lasacaciaspermacultura.com/), a permacultral educational project within a little forest and share some laughter and chats with friends who come on the day. The project is located about 20mins walk from Castelldefels train station. You can arrive by R2 or R2S from Barcelona for example, Passeig de Gracia or Sants. **Rough schedule as below** 10-11am Arrival 11-1pm Work on site (farming, weeding, composting, fixing fences etc depending on what needs doing on the day) 1-3pm Cooking and sharing a lunch together Bring a vegetarian snack or two to share with everyone. There will be a basic talk about things to look for and specific things to shoot for each objective. * We will go over the map and then spend time walking the route stopping and shooting in each area. We will be walking for a total of about 2-2.5 hours. The main focus of the workshop is to learn about and gain more confidence shooting street photography with the bonus of exploring and seeing some interesting spots around Barcelona. * Once we're finished the route we will meet at a cafe (if we want!) to speak about the objectives, answer any questions and close with any comments or remarks 30 minutes. * In total we will spend about 2.5 hours in this street photography workshop. Other things to note * You should know the basics of photography and how your camera works. We'll discuss street photography techniques, not learning how to use cameras. * Bring the min amount of things required for a few hours of shooting. La Canonja obre portes al centre d’interpretació del jaciment del barranc de la Boella, **un dels més importants del món** i que té els mamuts, els rinoceronts i els hipopòtams com a grans protagonistes I es per aquesta raó que us volem portar a un lloc on teniem moltes ganes de anar-hi, i és que, per fí, desprès de molt temps en projecte, l’**Espai Mammuthus obre les seves portes** per poder visitar un lloc únic a Catalunya. L’Espai Mammuthus es un espai museitzat que a través de les troballes arqueològiques i dels estudis científics que han propiciat el projecte de recerca al jaciment del **Barranc de la Boella**, el visitant pot fer **un viatge a un milió d’anys enrere per conèixer i experimentar** qui i com es vivia en aquest període prehistòric, alhora que efectuarà un recorregut per l’evolució humana. El MAMMUTHUS és un espai **únic i singular** per conèixer la prehistòria i les primeres poblacions humanes del Camp de Tarragona. Al llarg de tots aquests anys, el jaciment del Barranc de la Boella s’ha convertit en un **referent internacional** pel coneixement de les primeres poblacions humanes d’Europa. Aquest conjunt arqueològic s’inclou dins d’un període de la prehistòria **molt poc conegut al nostre territori i també a tot el continent europeu, fet que dóna una gran importància al jaciment**. Aqui podrem trobar **una cinquantena de les peces originals** més significatives trobades al jaciment, gràcies a la cessió feta per la Generalitat de Catalunya. **Res de rèpliques**. Podrem contemplar restes de *rinoceronts, hipopòtams i, per descomptat, mamuts* —les veritables estrelles de l’exposició—, a més d’altres espècies de fauna prehistòrica que compartien l’espai amb els humans de fa un milió d’anys. També compta amb una zona que explica i recopila eines trobades al jaciment, com llances i altres objectes per a tallar, i a la planta superior, una zona equipada amb pantalles explica l’evolució humana d’una manera molt didàctica. La joia de la corona són **els ullals de mamut que es van trobar al jaciment fa 18 anys**. Skiing and Cheesecake go together...right? We meet at Snow Trails at 10am for a "training day" of fun on the slopes. An easy day of skiing for with good weather projected. We'll meet at the base by left Mt. Mansfield lift and do some slow laps. Then venture around the slope. Lunch will be at 1pm inside. If you are a beginner or intermediate, consider an adult ski lesson. It is less expensive to get your gear at Colorado Mountain Sports in Hilliard or Aspen Ski at the Polaris Mall, than at the resort. About 3-3:30 pm will travel to Belleville to the Wishmaker B&B and restaurant for a slice of their renown cheesecake and their in-house dessert wine.
