The museum opened in 2016 and is located in Pinner Memorial Park. The collection includes about 1000 pieces of original art work together with an archive of letters, association copies and special editions of the books that he illustrated, proof prints, advertising booklets and ephemera. William Heath Robinson was born in London on 31 May 1872 into a family of artists and grew up in Finsbury Park. Both his grandfather, father and his two brothers worked as illustrators.
