We’re also thrilled to announce that our trial of advanced Bachata lessons, which began last September, has been a resounding success! Building on this momentum, we’re excited to offer an enhanced schedule for 2026. Our dance evenings will now feature three hours of classes: one hour of beginner to intermediate Bachata, one hour of advanced Bachata, and one hour of beginner to intermediate Salsa. As always, the entrance fee remains $15 for a night of 2 lessons and social dancing. For those interested in the advanced Bachata lessons, there will be an additional $5 fee. You've heard Michelle and I talking about the league we play in on Mondays. Here's your chance to see what all the fuss is about. They are holding a demonstration event at the Churchmouse & Firkin. The plan is to have three rounds of questions played by league players in the panel format. The audience will have a chance at any questions that the teams miss. This will give a demonstration of the gamestyle. The remaining questions will be played by everyone in standard pub-style format, so everyone can see the level of questions. The league is always looking for new players and teams, so yes, this is a recruiting event. Should also be a lot of fun.

Hello all! We're hosting a themed event called "Solve a Murder" where you come in, grab dinner and a glass of wine and solve a a murder mystery with case files. This is a themed event so if possible, I would highly recommend wearing late 1800s inspired clothes that match the Sherlock Homes vibe. Over time, it’s been home to cottages, amusement parks, and a tight-knit residential community that still exists on Ward’s Island. On this walk, we’ll move from the quieter, more open spaces of Hanlan's Point, through the lively areas of Centre Island, and end in the charming residential feel of Ward's Island. We’re bringing back Adult Field Day. Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows. You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to. The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up. If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening.
