Come write with us at Cafe Pierre every Sunday at 18:00-20:00! A message from Shut Up & Write: "Shut Up & Write hosts free, in-person and online writing events for writers all over the world. Our goal is to ensure that every writer—regardless of genre or skill level—has access to the resources, community, and accountability that they need to be successful in their personal writing goals." And what this looks like at our event: We chat and give short introductions to what we are working on at 18:00, then start writing at 18:15. Though we try to start on dot, being late isn't a problem—just find a spot and get to work! We write until 20:00 and then discuss how our writing went. From fiction to non-fiction, academic papers to poetry, applications to work-related writing—anything goes! Nothing is needed except for you to bring whatever is need to get stuff done, i.e. laptop, headphones, pen and paper, and so on. Optional socialising may happen before 18:00 and after 20:00, or you may choose to use this time to get some more done! We’re a welcoming community of people who love stepping outside our comfort zones, trying new things, and facing the cold together. Most of our meetups are in English, and it’s a great way to connect with like-minded people. At our sessions, we dip (or swim!) in icy water, support each other, practice optional simple breathing techniques, and discover just how strong we really are — mentally and physically. **Arrival**: We usually arrive between 11:00-11:15 and then go into the water together. **Family of Abundance** Sonntag, 26.04.2026 Dieses Wochenende ist rand voll mit Ecstatic Dance Events. Zum Landen machen wir also **statt unserem regulären Dance** einen tiefer in die Verbindung gehenden **Familienabend**. Weniger Bühne, mehr Wohnzimmer. Weniger Sensation, mehr geerdetes Aufladen. Ein Wohlfühlabend, mit besonders nährenden Momentan. Wir bringen die vielen wundervollen Geschenke der letzten Abundance Circles zusammen und schaffen einen offen Rahmen in dem wir als echte Familie die Abundance in unserem Alltag, in unserem gemeinsamen Hier und Jetzt wirklich Leben können. Wir beginnen im offenen Miteinander, sitzen beieinander, essen mitgebrachte Lieblingsspeisen, atmen durch, lassen die Woche ausklingen. Danach gehen wir miteinander in einen Abundance Circle – als Familie, die sich tiefer wahrnimmt, in einem immer klareren Fülle Feld. Mit einer kleinen Zeremonie, mit Kakao, mit viel Raum für das, was gerade da sein will. Nichts muss, vieles kann entstehen. Wir schenken uns und dem Thema Fülle Aufmerksamkeit und hören gut auf einander. Was danach passiert, entscheiden wir zusammen. Singen. Tanzen, ganz sanft, ganz akustisch. Den Kreis weitertragen – wir lauschen und folgen dem Impuls. Das ist ja eigentlich der Punkt: dass wir wieder lernen, aufeinander zu hören statt ein Programm abzuspulen. Klar angeleitet, damit die Energie aufrecht gehalten bleibt. Zum Abschluss lauschen wir einer Sound Journey wo jeder für sich sein kann oder in der Mitte des Raumes im Kuddle Circle. Nah. Warm. Getragen. Dann lassen wir gemeinsam ausklingen. Join the TaiJi-QiGong weekly practise! It is open for all levels and beginner friendly. :) If you want to join please sign in/out as the class will only take place if enugh people join (min. 3, but there is additional another whattsapp group with more people joining) The price is 13€/ unit. A few more words about this practise: it consists of bodywork - specific exercises designed to release tension and stress in your body. It also includes joint opening and the actual QiGong practise. This QiGong you could call Yin-Jang QiGong, as it prepares you for TaiJi (Wu style). This means it is designed to create balance in your body and movement, restructuring old unhealthy movement patterns and aligning your body. Also central part of this practise (the most powerful one) is that it leads to inner silence, connecting you with your body and silencing your mind. In this silence many virtues as patience, respect, perseverence, discipline... arise/ are transmitted. It is especially beneficial to strngthen your ability to focus and for stress relief. Eine kleine „Sonderausgabe“ der Kaffeerunde für alle, die auch gern lesen. Dieses Mal probieren wir etwas Neues: wir lesen gemeinsam ein Buch und treffen uns, um darüber zu sprechen. In kleiner Runde tauschen wir uns über unsere Eindrücke aus: über Figuren, Themen, und unterschiedliche Perspektiven. Für diese erste Leserunde schlage ich das Buch **„Ostblockherz“ von Didi Drobna** vor (ca. 180 Seiten). Der Roman berührt Themen wie Familie, Migration, Herkunft und die manchmal schwierige Beziehung zwischen Eltern und Kindern. Wenn Interesse besteht, können wir die Leserunde gerne gelegentlich wiederholen. Für zukünftige Bücher können wir dann auch gemeinsam Vorschläge sammeln. Für alle, die grundsätzlich Interesse haben, habe ich außerdem eine kleine **[WhatsApp-Gruppe](https://chat.whatsapp.com/FKmgnp4UkAZGpdBWxrJywG?mode=hqctcla) speziell für die Leserunde** erstellt. Dieses Mal werden wir uns nicht mit einem bestimmten Thema beschäftigen, sondern das teilen, was gerade in uns ist: Welche Herausforderungen haben wir in letzter Zeit, was fällt uns schwer, was leicht? Wie fühlen wir uns gerade? Unsere Frauen\*kreise bieten einen unterstützenden und bewussten Raum, um langsamer zu werden, tiefer in Verbindung zu kommen und zu teilen, was gerade in uns – meist im Zusammenhang mit dem jeweiligen Thema – präsent ist. Wir beginnen gemeinsam mit einer Tasse Tee und nehmen uns Zeit, anzukommen und uns aufzuwärmen. In den zwei Stunden – mit einer kurzen Pause dazwischen – teilen wir unsere Erfahrungen, Gefühle und Herausforderungen sowie unseren Umgang damit. Zwischendurch machen wir themenbezogene Körper- und Atemübungen, die ich anleite. Jeder Kreis ist auf maximal sechs Frauen\* begrenzt, damit jede genügend Raum hat, um zu sprechen, zuzuhören und gehört zu werden. Willkommen sind alle, die sich in irgendeiner Weise mit dem Begriff Frau oder FLINTA identifizieren oder identifizieren möchten. **Wichtig:** Wir sitzen auf dem Boden auf einer japanischen Matte. Es gibt einige Kissen, aber bring dir gerne ein eigenes Kissen und/oder eine Decke mit, wenn du es bequemer haben möchtest. How are we feeling right now? Our women\* circles offer a supportive and mindful space to slow down, come into deeper connection, and share what is currently present within us – often in relation to a given theme. We will begin together with a cup of tea and take time to arrive and warm up. During the two hours – with a short break in between – we will share our experiences, feelings, and challenges, as well as how we are dealing with them. In between, we will do guided body and breath exercises led by me. Each circle is limited to a maximum of six women\*, so that everyone has enough space to speak, listen, and be heard. This is our weekly event! Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). The fee for this event is 12€ (for the 2 hours). If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available. We are meeting at about 10:55 am near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. There is a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle. If you do not have a racket, it is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3€). Sometimes the host or other members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below! If you are joining our events for the first time, WELCOME! Let the host know that you are new and they will find a place for you. Don't worry, we are an open and friendly group. We are sure you will develop connections with the people in our community in no time! Without further ado - let's play some badminton and have fun together!

we play on one court with 4 (maybe 5 players ). **required level: Starter++ or low intermediate** **Price** *17-20 € for 2h depending on number of players * I usually have additional rackets available if you need one. *You can pay via Revolut, PayPal, instant Bank Transfer or Cash. I prefer transfer over cash. **Equipment** - I provide balls (usually Bullpadel Next) **Cancellation** *Please cancel at least 10h before the event, to give people on the wait list the chance to jump in. Otherwise a late cancellation fee of 10 € must be paid. - Cancel at least 26h before the event in case the wait list is empty. Otherwise a late cancellation fee will be charged *Late Cancellation fees will be donated to Médecins Sans Frontières (Ärzte ohne Grenzen). - I understand that sometimes unexpected things can come up. However, not showing up and failing to let me know is considered disrespectful and goes against the community spirit. People doing uncommented no-shows have to pay the full event fee. **Important** *Playing competitive is allowed (Smashing balls, hitting balls close to opponent player etc.) - We still value fair play and sportsmanship. *Having fun together is way more important as winning. **Other information** - We are respectful and warm with each other. The emotional pain from past bad experiences easily lingers in the present, making it hard to enjoy life and create your future. Even when you think you've moved on, the negative emotions can be triggered, sending you back into the pain of that experience. And we are talking about pain; emotions such as grief, depression, anxiety, fear (or terror), boiling anger, simmering resentment, feelings of shame, blaming and regret can leave you incapacitated to a greater or lesser degree. In this local event we will be discussing the reasons why these past bad experiences have the power to affect you long after they occurred. We'll go over why the emotional pain can be so strong. We'll also discuss some simple solutions to overcome your emotional pain and be free to fully enjoy your life again. Examples of painful experiences include: * A broken relationship or divorce. * Death or loss of a loved one. * Death of a pet. * A sudden shock or bad news. * A betrayal. * Being part of an abusive relationship. * A bad injustice. * Loss of a job, position or business. * A grave illness or injury. The negative emotions from these experiences don't just go away on their own. But the good news is there is a way to clear them out of your way. This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well.
