## Learn Go and NixOS deployments with large language models Hello, 世界! When used sensibly, language models can be tutors, too. For meetup #60 on Tuesday [May 26, 2026 19:00 CET](https://www.meetup.com/leipzig-golang/events/312537727) we are really happy to have [Maxime](https://www.linkedin.com/in/plumps/) dive into Nix/NixOS with the help of language models. Nix is a functional package manager and its immutable traits enable robust, reproducable deployments of Go (and other) projects. The high level goals of Nix/NixOS are similar to other immutable Linux distributions, like [Silverblue](https://fedoraproject.org/silverblue/) or [Bazzite](https://bazzite.gg/). Becoming familiar with the Nix configuration language can be a challenge, but one that a well instructed tutor may help with. > Artificial intelligence techniques are increasingly used in education to enable personalized learning and intelligent tutoring [LLM Agents for Education: Advances and Applications](https://aclanthology.org/anthology-files/anthology-files/pdf/findings/2025.findings-emnlp.743.pdf) (11/2025) Why reproducible and immutable deployments play a role? [Justin Garrison](https://justingarrison.com/blog/state-of-immutable-linux/) says: > It’s 2026, if you’re not using something immutable (or at least reproducable) you’re doing more maintenance work than you should. [blog post recapping talk from [Southern California Linux Expo 23x](https://www.socallinuxexpo.org/scale/23x)], 03/2026, PASADENA, CA ### Schedule * 18:45 Doors open * 19:00 Welcome * 19:10 Dive into Nix/NixOS with LLMs * 19:50 Open discussion We’ll meet: * in person at [Basislager Leipzig](https://basislager.co), at [Peterssteinweg 14, 04107 Leipzig](https://maps.app.goo.gl/1fMkeDSPZ7Aauszh8) ([OSM](https://www.openstreetmap.org/node/3504864558)) * and online via [https://meet.google.com/drk-bptj-xss](https://meet.google.com/drk-bptj-xss) Join us to discuss robust Go deployments, language models as learning tools and more!
Tuesday Co-Working Session in Vienna with Style – Get It Done Together
Tuesday Co-Working Session in Vienna with Style – Get It Done Together
This is a structured coworking session for people who want to follow through and get it done. 👉 **New here? You can join for just 2 hours to try it out.** 👉 Stay longer if you want to go deeper. To join, please register here (takes 1–2 minutes): [https://nocrastination.space/](https://nocrastination.space/) **We like a touch of mystery!** **The exact location will be sent to you by email 24 hours before the session. Please make sure to register in advance.** **Execution with Style. You start, but don't finish. We help you get it done.** Join our [WhatsApp group](https://chat.whatsapp.com/K6LidaoQhe16wZ0Se9pNM6?mode=gi_t) Follow us on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/nocrastinationclub/) You just haven’t been able to follow through. You start things, lose momentum and find yourself starting over again. You’re not alone. Most people get support at the beginning. And applause at the end. But the part that actually matters? The middle. The quiet, repetitive, sometimes frustrating part where nothing feels exciting, and everything depends on showing up. **That’s where we are.** At NoCrastination, we don’t meet for hype. We meet to **show up and finish something, together.** Not perfectly. Not magically. Just consistently. **Why “Style”?** Because sometimes, the hardest part isn’t the task. It’s who you believe you are when you sit down to do it. When you wear something different, something bold, unusual, or expressive: you step slightly outside your usual identity. And in that small shift… It becomes easier to start. Easier to act. Easier to follow through. **Execution with Style** Each session, you’re invited to wear something you normally wouldn’t: * the jacket that never leaves your closet * something colorful, dramatic, or expressive * something funny, strange, or unexpected * something you feel like you “can’t pull off” No pressure. But if you join in, be ready to share the story behind it. **Self-expression + execution = momentum** **What this really is** This is a space for people who: * keep starting but don’t finish * are building something (or figuring it out) * don’t want to do it alone anymore **What happens here** You bring something you’ve been avoiding. We sit down together. We focus. And you leave with something done. **Why people come back** * “I finally follow through on what I plan” * “I leave with real progress every time” * “This is the only place I actually stay consistent” **How long should I join?** You don’t need to commit to the full session. **Option 1: Try it (2 hours, 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM)** Perfect if it’s your first time or you want a light commitment **Option 2: Go deep (4 hours, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM)** Stay for the full session and build real momentum **Time and location** 🕐 **Every Tuesday, 1:00 PM – 5:00 PM** 💻 **Bring:** your laptop, journal, or anything you’ve been avoiding ☕ Please do order something from the bar, so as to keep us in their good graces! **How it works** * **13:00–13:15 → Arrival + Soft intro + Set your task** * **13:15 - 14:45 → Deep focus session 1** * **14:45 - 15:00 → 15’ Break** * **15:00 - 16:30 → Deep focus session 2** * **16:45 onwards → Networking** * Quiet focus + optional social space * Drop in anytime, stay as long as you want Simple structure. Real progress. **First time joining?** Look for **Joanna Liu** near the ground floor bar 💛 We’ll get you settled. **This is for you if:** * You keep starting but don’t finish * You feel stuck working alone * You want structure — without pressure * You want to express yourself AND move forward **What you’ll get** Not motivation. Not a productivity hack. **You’ll get: ONE THING DONE.** And then you come back, and do it again. **This is how it starts** You don’t need to commit to anything big. Just come once. Pick one thing. Finish it. We’ll be there. As we’re growing and improving the experience, we’re moving to a more structured system. Registration is part of participating. **Stay connected** Join our [WhatsApp group](https://chat.whatsapp.com/K6LidaoQhe16wZ0Se9pNM6?mode=gi_t) Follow us on [Instagram](https://www.instagram.com/nocrastinationclub/) This is a space you can keep coming back to. **You’re not behind. You’re just in the middle.** And you don’t have to go through it alone. You are one of us.

Sound Bath for Grounding and Renewal
Sound Bath for Grounding and Renewal
On Tuesday at 19:30, I invite you to join me for a 75-minute meditation and sound bath journey. We’ll begin with gentle breathwork to arrive fully in the body and create space within. From there, you’ll be guided into a deep sound meditation — a moment to slow down, quiet the mind, and reconnect through sound and stillness. This is a space for rest, grounding, clarity, and inner calm. Everyone is welcome, and no previous experience is needed. Just come as you are. Feel free to bring a blanket, warm socks, or anything that helps you feel safe, cozy, and relaxed. After the session, we’ll share a cup of tea and have some time to connect and chat.

Social ice cream crawl!
Social ice cream crawl!
Hi everyone! I am happy to share the second (and much belated) event of this group in Vienna: an ice cream crawl! I swear I will host some events that aren't crawls at some point, especially now that the weather is nice, but that comes later 🌞. This crawl will start downtown, and we'll go to 4 or 5 ice cream spots. Splitting is encouraged, and I'll bring some bowls we can use to easily split/share ice cream, so everyone can try each stop without having a eat an entire scoop. After the last stop, we'll go hang in the park. The exact stops are tbd and will be released a few days before the crawl! Some other information: * this event is sunshine-only: if it is quite cloudy/cold or raining, we'll postpone * Bring a blanket to sit on at the park afterwards * You can join anytime throughout the crawl, as I'll post updates when we head to the next location. However, during the crawl I won't be able to respond to individual messages. Finally, some reminders: * Please keep your rsvp up to date if you can't make it, to let folks on the waitlist have a chance to come. If you're on the waitlist but really want to come feel free to message me and it will probably happen. But if you're on the waitlist and haven't confirmed with me please don't come. * There is a strict no-harrasment policy. If someone tells you to stop doing something, stop immediately. If anyone is making you uncomfortable, let a host know right away.
Shut Up & Write!® - Sundays at Café Pierre
Shut Up & Write!® - Sundays at Café Pierre
Come write with us at Cafe Pierre every Sunday at 18:00-20:00! A message from Shut Up & Write: "Shut Up & Write hosts free, in-person and online writing events for writers all over the world. Our goal is to ensure that every writer—regardless of genre or skill level—has access to the resources, community, and accountability that they need to be successful in their personal writing goals." And what this looks like at our event: We chat and give short introductions to what we are working on at 18:00, then start writing at 18:15. Though we try to start on dot, being late isn't a problem—just find a spot and get to work! We write until 20:00 and then discuss how our writing went. From fiction to non-fiction, academic papers to poetry, applications to work-related writing—anything goes! Nothing is needed except for you to bring whatever is need to get stuff done, i.e. laptop, headphones, pen and paper, and so on. Optional socialising may happen before 18:00 and after 20:00, or you may choose to use this time to get some more done! Please do order something from the café (drink, meal, dessert, etc.) so as to keep us in their good graces!
SELBST.BEWUSST.AUFTRETEN - 1. Teil
SELBST.BEWUSST.AUFTRETEN - 1. Teil
Bei Interesse bitte dieser Gruppe folgen!** **+++++++** **STANDING TALL WITH CONFIDENCE - 1st part** **Attention please:** **This course consists of 2 parts!** **The 2nd part will take place the 13th of June.** Please make sure that you can participate at both parts! Sometimes we let ourselves be intimidated by others who naturally push themselves to the forefront with their views and interests. * **Sometimes we are left speechless when others insult us, belittle us, or demand things that we don’t want but feel unable to refuse.** In a small, friendly group, we practice growing, standing firm, setting boundaries, and asserting ourselves: physically, emotionally, and verbally – so that we can succeed out there next time! **The workshop language is German**. Participants whose first language is not German should have **at least a B2 level**. However, for comprehension questions, translations into English or French can be provided. **--> This workshop has been newly created, therefore the participation will be free of charge.** **But free donation will be very welcome!** **Note:** **This course is also expected to be offered in English in the near future.

Free In-Person Events: How to Let Go of the Past and Move Forward
Free In-Person Events: How to Let Go of the Past and Move Forward
The emotional pain from past bad experiences easily lingers in the present, making it hard to enjoy life and create your future. Even when you think you've moved on, the negative emotions can be triggered, sending you back into the pain of that experience. And we are talking about pain; emotions such as grief, depression, anxiety, fear (or terror), boiling anger, simmering resentment, feelings of shame, blaming and regret can leave you incapacitated to a greater or lesser degree. In this local event we will be discussing the reasons why these past bad experiences have the power to affect you long after they occurred. We'll go over why the emotional pain can be so strong. We'll also discuss some simple solutions to overcome your emotional pain and be free to fully enjoy your life again. Examples of painful experiences include: * A broken relationship or divorce. * Death or loss of a loved one. * Death of a pet. * A sudden shock or bad news. * A betrayal. * Being part of an abusive relationship. * A bad injustice. * Loss of a job, position or business. * A grave illness or injury. The negative emotions from these experiences don't just go away on their own. But the good news is there is a way to clear them out of your way. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is sponsored the Dianetics & Scientology Self-Improvement Center.

Break Up With What Broke You, Columbus, Ohio
Break Up With What Broke You, Columbus, Ohio
On a list of "My Favorite Things", few people would put a "break up" in their top ten. More often, these words evoke feelings of shame, embarrassment, poor choices, and bad or sad endings. Before the new and beautiful can be built, the old, broken, and unnecessary must be cleared away. This process can be painful, but it is good, needful, and can produce wonderful results when done wisely and well. How does one break free from anxiety, comparison, or shame? Christian Bevere points people to the freedom God desires for His children, as well as giving practical ideas on how to shed both unhealthy baggage and the lies that seek to leave us anchored to past failure. Drawing from the Bible, ***Break Up With What Broke You*** clearly shows that what Satan would seek to use for evil, God uses for good and to accomplish His purposes. Join us **Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at 6:30 pm**, when we gather at **True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center, Columbus**. We'd love to see you there! Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
