Open Dialogue – Discovering Together in Vienna
Open Dialogue – Discovering Together in Vienna
We will meet in a calm and friendly place ( Parc, Café, Restaurant) to explore together some of Jiddu Krishnamurti’s key questions about awareness, relationship, and freedom. There will be no teaching, no authority — only open dialogue and attentive listening. Everyone is welcome, whether you are familiar with Jiddu Krishnamurti or simply curious about life and self-understanding. We’ll start with an open conversation around a theme such as “Listening without judgment” or “Can thought bring clarity?” Please bring openness, curiosity, and a readiness to listen — no books or notes needed. The spirit is not to discuss “what should be,” but to observe together “what is.”
Let’s Dine & Talk
Let’s Dine & Talk
**Join us for the first gathering of the Vienna Hidden Bites Club, a community for food lovers, explorers, and anyone who enjoys discovering unique restaurants and hidden culinary gems around Vienna.** **Our goal is simple: explore the city’s lesser-known restaurants, share great food, meet new people, and uncover the stories behind Vienna’s hidden dining spots.** **For our first event, we’ll visit Matteo Homemade Pasta & Italian Tapas, a cozy Italian restaurant known for its fresh homemade pasta and authentic Italian tapas. The restaurant specializes in traditional Italian recipes, handmade pasta, and small sharing plates inspired by Italian cuisine.** **Please note: 🙌🙌🙌** **This is a social dining event, and everyone will pay for their own meal and drinks. There is no participation fee for the meetup itself—just come ready to enjoy great food and cover your own order.**

Tango Immersion Weekend · monthly intensive
Tango Immersion Weekend · monthly intensive
You can join the full weekend or the workshops of your choice (details below). **Tango Immersion is an in-depth program to learn Tango Argentino** that shortens the path to improvisation and connection. **It takes place on a monthly basis, in an intensive Tango Weekend format**, varying the focus and specific topics we cover each time. **This month's edition focuses on techniques of contact and invasion for different levels (basic knowledge is required).** If you’re new, join the Discover Tango Argentino session at 11:30am (Details in our group agenda) **Register [here](https://www.jessicagerdel.com/tangoimmersion) or drop-in for this month's Tango Immersion Weekend!** **June 20-21: Playing with techniques of contact and invasion** One of the most fascinating moments in a dancer’s development happens when they stop thinking exclusively about their own movement and begin paying attention to how space is shared, negotiated and transformed together. Suddenly, movements that seemed unrelated reveal a common thread. A Pasada, a Mordida, a Barrida, a Sacada, a Gancho… On the surface they look completely different tango figures. Underneath, they all explore the same question. We'll be working on that line this weekend and look forward to exploring with you how to bring these techniques organically into your dance. As usual, you’re welcome with and without a dance partner, and to learn both roles. Please note that this Tango Immersion Weekend isn’t suitable for participants with zero experience. If you’re new to tango, join the Discover Tango Argentino session at 11:30. **SATURDAY JUNE 20** 15:00-16:00 — Solo technique: Improve your balance and footwork (bonus lesson, not included in the basic registration) 16:30-17:30 — Workshop 1: Stylish Mordidas 18:00-19:00 — Workshop 2: Smooth Pasadas 19:15-20:15 — Workshop 3: Playing with Barridas 20:15-22:00 — Focused Práctica for all levels – Open to participants from all backgrounds. It’s not required to have attended the workshops or Jessica’s classes to join. **SUNDAY JUNE 21** 14:30-16:00 — [Tango & Movement Pedagogical Path](https://www.jessicagerdel.com/tango-and-movement-pedagogy/) (optional add-on program) 16:20-17:20 — Workshop 4: Negotiating space with Sacadas 17:35-18:35 — Workshop 5: Ganchos as a consequence 18:40-22:00 — Milonga Itinerante **REGISTRATION** €150 Full Tango Weekend (Bonus lesson + 5 workshops + Focused Práctica + Milonga) €140 Tango Weekend without the bonus lesson (5 workshops + Focused Práctica + Milonga) Want to make your own combo? €25 per workshop €20 Bonus lesson €15 Focused Práctica €12 Milonga (€10 Solidaritarif) – Free for participants of 2 or more workshops \*\*\* Jessica Gerdel is a versatile researcher and educator dedicated to Tango Argentino and the intersections between culture, social dynamics, personal development, and the body-mind connections. She works from a holistic perspective that helps people embody the essence of Tango Argentino and build meaningful connections, with themselves and others, and grow within a welcoming community that celebrates collective progress. Since 2022, she organizes the Milonga Itinerante in Vienna and other events whose motto has become widely known: *Come as you are!* Bringing together people who co-create a welcoming and familiar atmosphere for newcomers and regulars. Froth on the daydream - Boris Vian
Froth on the daydream - Boris Vian
L'Ecume des jours (Foam of the Daze) is a jazz fueled Science Fiction story that is both romantic and nihilistic! Vian's novel is an assortment of bittersweet romance, absurdity and the frailty of life. Foam of the Daze is a nimble-fingered masterpiece that is both witty and incredibly moving. It is a story of a wealthy young man Colin and the love of his life Chloe, who develops a water lily in her lung. The supporting cast includes Chick, an obsessive collector of noted philosopher Jean-Sol Partre's books and stained pants, and Nicolas who is a combination of P.G. Wodehouse's fictional butler Jeeves and the Green Hornet's Kato. The soul of the book is about the nature of life disappearing and loving things intensely as if one was making love on a live grenade! Please note that there are several translations of this book, first of them was Froth on the daydream, later came Mood indigo (by movie title), and there is also Foam of the Daze. source: goodreads

Ecstatic Dance – Circle Of Abundance
Ecstatic Dance – Circle Of Abundance
Was möchte durch dich wachsen? Was möchtest du feiern? 🌿 Lasst uns tanzen. 💛 Lasst uns das Leben feiern. 🌱 create joy together

Free In-Person Events: How to Let Go of the Past and Move Forward
Free In-Person Events: How to Let Go of the Past and Move Forward
The emotional pain from past bad experiences easily lingers in the present, making it hard to enjoy life and create your future. Even when you think you've moved on, the negative emotions can be triggered, sending you back into the pain of that experience. And we are talking about pain; emotions such as grief, depression, anxiety, fear (or terror), boiling anger, simmering resentment, feelings of shame, blaming and regret can leave you incapacitated to a greater or lesser degree. In this local event we will be discussing the reasons why these past bad experiences have the power to affect you long after they occurred. We'll go over why the emotional pain can be so strong. We'll also discuss some simple solutions to overcome your emotional pain and be free to fully enjoy your life again. Examples of painful experiences include: * A broken relationship or divorce. * Death or loss of a loved one. * Death of a pet. * A sudden shock or bad news. * A betrayal. * Being part of an abusive relationship. * A bad injustice. * Loss of a job, position or business. * A grave illness or injury. The negative emotions from these experiences don't just go away on their own. But the good news is there is a way to clear them out of your way. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is sponsored the Dianetics & Scientology Self-Improvement Center.

Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
Free In-person Meeting: Unwanted Emotions & Loneliness, How to Get Over Them
This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about. Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life. Be sure to click on the red "Attend" button below to come to this local event. We look forward to seeing you there. This group is created by the Dianetics and Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
The Completely Series
The Completely Series
These meetings will be a building block approach to learning photographic mastery over three disciplines: Mechanical Mastery (MM) - 13 weeks of the series Exposure Mastery (EM) - 26 weeks of the series Composition Mastery (CM) - A 52 week series All three series will run concurrently and will dovetail as follows: Q3/26 - MM (Iter 1), EM (Iter 1, Pt 1), CM (Iter 1, Pt1) Q4/26 - MM (Iter 2), EM (Iter 1, Pt 2), CM (Iter 1, Pt2) Q1/27 - MM (Iter 3), EM (Iter 2, Pt 1), CM (Iter 1, Pt3) Q2/27 - MM (Iter 4), EM (Iter 2, Pt 2), CM (Iter 1, Pt4) That's likely confusing, but essentially, MM offered 4 times in that period, EM offered 2 times, and CM offered 1 time. **TO BE CLEAR - THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THESE CLASSES.** This is an aggressive series, with presentations, homework, group shoots to be added in, likely at LEAST twice a month, image critiques, and an expectation that you are willing to put in the work to elevate your photography significantly. Open to all levels and all equipment levels. Don't let hesitation about your skillset and/or gear keep you from a one-time opportunity. The group will meet every Monday, with periodic exceptions, and we will try to keep as close as possible to the original plan. Obviously, more data to come, and will be published as this is further developed, but now is the time to decide if you want to be a part of this.

Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
Free In-Person Meeting: Healing from Trauma and Past Betrayals
This is a free, in person meeting. Burdened by a stressful relationship? Unhealthy relationships can trigger feelings of anger, despair or self-doubt. They can create dwindling spirals of fights and seeking to make-up, or trying to “pin the blame” on someone or something. If you don’t find the RIGHT reasons, or select the correct sources of the problem, the problem can just get worse and worse. Whether in love or personal ties, with friends or at work, our life really IS affected by the quality of our relationships. Good ones can promote pleasure and survival while less optimum ones can lead to annoyance, anger, self-doubt, stress, or even affect our health and ability to survive well. Whether you are suffering from a divorce, or a painful break-up, don’t know who to trust (or who to CHOOSE) as a partner, friend, boss or employee - the anxiety of relationship troubles can really make a mess of things. Maybe you’ve suffered a betrayal, or are dealing with hostility or criticalness or invalidation. Dwindling relationships can involve destructive behavior, where we hurt those we love, or start succumbing to self-destructive thoughts, attitudes or behaviors that spiral out of control and affect much more than our immediate relationship. Past losses in love or life can affect how we act or react to new people and situations and hold us back from even starting to create new, possibly great relationships! How can one get back onto a saner course of action? Come to our Meetup, where we can introduce you to some of the knowledge, tools and techniques of the breakthroughs in the field of the mind that we can apply to this ever important area of life: human relationships! Break free from self imposed limitations Here we will discuss: • How to “erase” the trauma of past hurts and betrayals so that one isn’t always repeating past mistakes. • Why and how do the negative emotions of others affect you? • Why is my partner withdrawing and what can I do about it? • Why do we sometimes feel compelled to hurt the ones we love? • Fights & arguments - what's really behind them? • What underlies “corrosive criticism” or the need to invalidate self or others? • How one can stably change one’s outlook on life so they can affect positive change? • Where do compulsive destructive behaviors come from and what can be done about them? • How to form closer bonds & keep growing the relationships with the people you care about? • How to enhance one’s own ability to survive and create positive healthy relationships whether in love, family & friendships or in work, business or one’s career? Relationships can be hard and life itself IS challenging. Why not arm yourself with the knowledge and breakthroughs that have been made about the mind, mental reactions & interpersonal relationships, so that one has better awareness and control over themselves and life in general. Learn where painful experiences are “stored” and how they can unknowingly affect us. You will also find out how one can “erase” those past painful experiences so that one is free to move forward without being tripped up by the past. Learn too, about what can lead some people to become “toxic” personalities and how to identify those traits in others so you won’t be tripped up trusting the wrong person. Our free Meet-ups occur in a safe environment where one can learn, without fear of judgment or criticism, and without the recommendation of harmful mental techniques or therapies, just how YOU can get yourself onto a happier & more successful path: in love & in life. We look forward to having you join us! This class is sponsored by the Dianetics & Scientology Life Improvement Center of Central Ohio.
