Gloves are optional (we will do exercises on the grass, stairs, etc.) Que traer; Agua. We're Mixing it Up! You're invited to English Party - Game Afternoon in the Park! We have decided to branch out and try something new this month! We will meet at Cerro San Cristobal (ParqueMet), at the Providencia (Pedro de Valdivia) entrance at 4:45pm, and we’ll all walk up the path together at 5pm to a specific location that I will share with the official guests who RSVP via WhatsApp. Join our free WhatsApp group and you can RSVP before the general public! I confirm attendees via WhatsApp. Thank you for understanding. Once we’re at our spot, we’ll play outdoor games for about 2.5-3 hours. The park closes at 8:30pm so we'll probably need to start walking back down by around 8pm. We may be running around a bit (or at least walking quickly if you prefer not to run) for some of the games so keep that in mind when planning your schedule for eating lunch that day, etc. You would want to bring appropriate clothing and gear for being outside in the sun. We’d try to hang out in the shade mostly but it’s still important to bring sun protection. Some key things to bring would be: a water bottle, sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses if you want, comfortable clothes, and tennis shoes (comfy shoes for walking/running around). If you think you might get hungry during the event it would also be good to bring a small portable snack like a granola bar or trail mix. More game details to be published soon! Stay tuned! This is an in-person meeting. Did you know that unwanted emotions like loneliness, sadness, hopelessness, anger, fear, anxiety, or feelings of irritation don’t just fall on you for no reason. They are not random occurrences that simply happen to people's minds. They are definitely not chemical imbalance in your brain due to some nebulous chemical reactions by chance. Your negative emotions are the symptoms of the painful experiences that you have which are not healed, and which are still affecting you. The effects of these painful experiences are exacerbated by the pressures or difficulties of the other problems in your life. For instance, let's say you are already carrying a huge load on your back, then you cannot take on much more, but, let's say something else happens to you, such as the difficulties from the Pandemic, then the resultant combined weight on you can take you over the edge, kind of like the straw that break the camel's back. When this happens, people's attention usually goes to the straw that was added, but actually the majority of the weight had come from the huge load that were already there, holding a person down and causing a person issues. So how do you remove the huge load that was already there? How do you lighten them up? Is it possible to get rid of them? That is what this meeting will be all about.
