Blood on the Clocktower in Mitte (advanced level)
Blood on the Clocktower in Mitte (advanced level)
**New to the game? Please join our beginner-friendly Sunday event instead!** Hi folks, this is a special meetup group for the regular Blood on the Clocktower games every Tuesday in Berlin Mitte. This event is aimed at players who are already very familiar with Clocktower - if you have dozens of games under your belt and are excited to play custom scripts with other seasoned players, this is the event for you! Our group aims to provide a fun and welcoming space to experience this thrilling game of social deception. **We focus on promoting a positive and fun group atmosphere, where players don’t take themselves or the game too seriously, whether they’re heroically winning or spectacularly losing.** Our players follow the code of conduct for the Berlin Board Gamers group and are expected to treat each other with respect and consideration – “killing with grace, and dying with dignity”. If you are marked as "going" in Meetup and are in your seat at 19:00, your place is guaranteed. All other seats are first come, first served. There is a €3 entrance fee per person to cover the cost of hiring the venue, payable in cash. We play in English so players should be able to understand and express themselves in English: an exception is possible for one pair of players willing to play together (as a “Revolutionary” pair) where one player can interpret into and out of English. Please let us know in advance if this is the case.

You must complete the registration process on lu.ma to receive the full event location details and confirmation of your attendance. **Please note: Without approved registration on Luma, you will NOT be able to access the event location or attend.** We are excited to host a **BLISS x dida** workshop featuring Lukas Ruff (VP of Data Science @ [Aignostics](https://www.aignostics.com/?utm_source=luma)) together with his colleagues (Christina Embacher, Jonas Dippel, and Maaike Galama), who will guide us through an interactive session on AI for Precision Medicine. **Title:** Al for Precision Medicine: From Foundation Models to Tumor Tissue Profiling in Computational Pathology 📅 **Date:** 24.06.2026 🕕 **Time:** 18:00 📍 **Location:** TU Berlin Marchstrasse 23 [Room 0.011] The session will last around 2 hours, followed by a networking session with **dida** and fellow AI enthusiasts (and free pizza!🍕). Bring your laptop! The session will last around 2 hours, followed by a networking session with dida and fellow AI enthusiasts (and free pizza!🍕). Bring your laptop! **Abstract:** Nearly every cancer diagnosis still begins with a pathologist examining a stained tissue slide under a microscope. Digital pathology turns those slides into gigapixel images — and with them, a uniquely demanding frontier for machine learning. But getting from raw pixels to clinically meaningful, quantitative insight about a tumor and its microenvironment is far from trivial. In this workshop, Aignostics — a computational pathology company and Charité spin-off — walks you along the arc from core ML research to real-world application. We start with an overview of digital pathology and what makes it challenging for ML (gigapixel images, scarce labels, scanner and staining variability). We then look at how pathology foundation models are built and what separates a good one from a fragile one — not just accuracy, but robustness to non-biological artifacts — with a short hands-on segment. Finally, we put these models to work: with Atlas H&E-TME we profile the tumor microenvironment from routine H&E slides, and you'll get hands-on with OpenTME — an open dataset of TME profiles across five cancer types from TCGA — and TME Studio to run your own analyses. **⚡ FINAL REMINDER ⚡** **You MUST register and be approved on Luma to attend. The event location will only be visible after your registration is confirmed by the host. Link: https://luma.com/zzuvu98h?utm_source=meetup** *** We are **BLISS e.V.**, Berlin’s AI community connecting like-minded individuals passionate about machine learning and data science. Our **BLISS Workshops** connect **students and young professionals with industry partners**, offering an inside look into **how machine learning is applied in real-world settings** \- from research and development to deployment\. We are **dida**, scientific engineers who believe that **reliable AI** should not be a **"black box".** That is why we prioritize transparency, mathematics, and code over hype. 📸 Studio B/W Portrait Photography in Weissense
📸 Studio B/W Portrait Photography in Weissense
Join us for our second studio event this year, first in this new studio in [Weissensee](https://studioweissensee.berlin/), for a minimalistic session with 3 models. **Main theme:** This all-black-and-white studio session is a deep dive into the mastery of contrast and light. Instead of just taking striking photos, you will deconstruct and replicate the artistic decisions of photography’s greatest masters. You will explore how deep shadows, bright highlights, and texture shape emotion and direct the viewer’s eye. The session is divided into three distinct technical blocks based on iconic reference styles: 1. **Terry Richardson & Platon:** Minimalist sets, flat direct flash, and raw, high-contrast emotional energy. 2. **Peter Lindbergh:** Cinematic, soft yet directional window light, unretouched skin texture, and honest human emotion. 3. **Hedi Slimane:** Aggressive digital black-and-white, sharp side-lighting, and cold rock-and-roll decadence. The goal is to understand how light reveals, conceals, separates, and connects. By consciously borrowing these techniques, you will learn to use contrast as a powerful visual and emotional tool with your own subjects. **💡 Formula** This rotation-based format is built to maximize your shooting time and creative output. You’ll work across three setups, lighting styles, and models, all in a single session. * **1-on-1 Shooting:** Dedicated time with each model. * **Ready-to-Shoot:** Professionally lit, styled environments for varied content. * **Inspiring Atmosphere:** A focused chance to experiment, connect, and create alongside like-minded photographers. **👥 Who & What to Expect** * **Participants:** Up to 12 photographers, divided into 3 rotating groups. * **Skill Level:** Intermediate and above. * **The Models:** 3 carefully selected models. * **🔗 See Our Past Events** Check out selected coverage of our past TFP events: * [Event Recap 1](https://www.instagram.com/p/C58r4z2ojQJ/) * [Event Recap 2](https://www.instagram.com/theisoclubcollective/reel/C8E17M7KyOz/) * [Event Recap 3](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C6YYzKbiVax/) * **📍 Location:** [Weissensee](https://studioweissensee.berlin/) \- Streustrasse 42\, 13086 Berlin **🎟️ Payment** **Participation fee:** 50 EUR **🔄 Post-Shoot Requirements** * It is **mandatory** to share your final edited photos with the models and organizers - we recommend using [Picflow](https://picflow.com/) * Collaborate with models before sharing their photos on your social media, and always properly tag & mention them * Make sure to tag & mention us on your photos from this event using our IG handles: [@the_isoclub](https://instagram.com/the_isoclub), [@_portraitscenter](http://https;//%5B%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D%5D(%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D)(%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D(%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D))(%5B%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D%5D(%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D)(%5Binstagram.com/_portraitscenter%5D(instagram.com/_portraitscenter)))) ✅ **Terms and conditions for participants:** [Document](https://docs.google.com/document/d/1EEhcsXgInJaYgyIxnMObQnz7ZVUxp7MuGe8_fCR5Y2g/edit?usp=sharing)

June Book Club Meetup
June Book Club Meetup
Welcome, readers! Our June read is ***Endurance: Shackleton's Incredible*** ***Voyage*** **by Alfred Lansing.** A work of nonfiction, and one of the most astonishing survival stories in history, we follow Sir Ernest Shackleton and his crew after their ship is crushed by Antarctic ice. Stranded in one of the harshest environments on Earth, the men endure months of isolation, freezing temperatures, and near starvation—yet refuse to give up hope. Lansing brings their ordeal to life through vivid detail and firsthand accounts, capturing both the brutality of nature and the resilience of the human spirit. At its core, the story is a powerful testament to leadership, perseverance, and the unbreakable will to survive against impossible odds. Looking forward to discussing with everyone! We will meet at Zaftig Brewing Co in their event room in the back. We are welcome to bring in our own food, but **all** **drinks must be purchased at the bar.** Happy reading! 📖

Stalker
Stalker
Based on the novel Roadside Picnic, it is NO picnic, but rather one of the masterpieces of world cinema. Andrei Tarkovsky's 1979 Soviet sci-fi classic, recounts the expedition of a writer and professor led by a mysterious guide called "The Stalker." to a futuristic wasteland called "The Zone." Dripping with existential dread, it continually presents strange occurrences that will have us debating the meaning of what we've just viewed right through the ending. *Stalker* (1979) can be streamed for free on HBOMax, the Criterion Channel or Kanopy. It's also available for rent on Amazon Prime and AppleTV. The Columbus Library has two copies on disc.
