Hello all! We're hosting a themed event called "Solve a Murder" where you come in, grab dinner and a glass of wine and solve a a murder mystery with case files. This is a themed event so if possible, I would highly recommend wearing late 1800s inspired clothes that match the Sherlock Homes vibe. We are limiting this event to only 25 people to make sure that the experience is great! Register fast. To confirm your registration please send me $25 as a deposit. Hogtown Hash House Harriers (HH3) is a Toronto social running/walking and beer drinking group, with events happening every other Saturday, plus one Thursday and one Friday per month. We start at different locations across the city, run or walk together, and typically end at a local pub where we continue to socialize. Expect plenty of laughs, songs, quirky traditions, and a beer stop or two along the way. New members and non-beer drinkers are always welcome! 🌸🌊 SPRING WALK OF THE TORONTO ISLANDS (9KM) 🌊🌸 Lakeside Paths, Skyline Views & A Full Island Escape There’s something about the Toronto Islands that feels like a mini getaway — even though you’re just minutes from downtown. Join us for a relaxed, scenic spring walk across the Toronto Islands, where open water, quiet pathways, and skyline views come together in one of the city’s most peaceful settings. The Islands have a rich and layered history — once a sandbar peninsula connected to the mainland until a storm in 1858 separated it, creating the island chain we know today. Over time, it’s been home to cottages, amusement parks, and a tight-knit residential community that still exists on Ward’s Island. On this walk, we’ll move from the quieter, more open spaces of Hanlan's Point, through the lively areas of Centre Island, and end in the charming residential feel of Ward's Island. This is not a formal tour. We’re bringing back Adult Field Day. Last year was a good mix of competition and just hanging out, so we’re doing it again with some new games mixed in. Think team-based challenges, simple races, and a few things inspired by game shows. You don’t need to be athletic. Most of the fun is just being part of a team and getting to know people you wouldn’t normally talk to. The goal isn’t really winning. It’s meeting people, laughing a bit, and leaving knowing a few more names than when you showed up. If you stick around after, we’ll have a potluck, a bonfire, and a couple comedians in the evening. **Comedy Night + Open Mic + Freestyle**: Tristan Shae and friends return to entertain us and to warm the group up for our open mic session. February's Open Mic / Comedy Night was a smash hit and it's worth a second night. We'll start with Tristan Shae and a couple of his friends. Tristan is an alternative comic from Columbus, Ohio. A counselor by day, Tristan explores how comedy can improve mental health by telling jokes and stories that muse on how absurd life can be from squeaky clean topics to not so clean ones. Tristan produces the variety show Cheaper Than Therapy, hosts the weekly Problem Child Alt Comedy Open Mic at The Attic, and can be found engaging in all sorts of silliness around the city from stand up shows at The Nest Theater, The Attic, or The Funny Bone, to improv and sketch shows with various groups at various venues such as The Hashtag Comedy Club. **On Freestyle night** \- just bring a bottle to share\. That’s English Country Dancing, the predecessor of contra dancing. Now, add moves like “swing your partner” and “do-si-do,” like you’ve seen in square dancing. Set it to fabulous, high energy, live music with fiddles, guitars, percussion and more, alá “Riverdance.” Finally, set the whole scene down in the middle of Woodstock, with a hip, groovy atmosphere, a bit of tie-dye, and hints of counter-culture attitude.
