ENGLISH (Spanish below! PS, please let me know if you cannot view the event pricing!) * First, we will meet, greet and go over the route map and objectives for about 15 minutes. There will be a basic talk about things to look for and specific things to shoot for each objective. * We will go over the map and then spend time walking the route stopping and shooting in each area. We will be walking for a total of about 2-2.5 hours. The main focus of the workshop is to learn about and gain more confidence shooting street photography with the bonus of exploring and seeing some interesting spots around Barcelona. * Once we're finished the route we will meet at a cafe (if we want!) to speak about the objectives, answer any questions and close with any comments or remarks. * In total we will spend about 2.5 hours in this street photography workshop. Other things to note * You should know the basics of photography and how your camera works. We'll discuss street photography techniques, not learning how to use cameras. * Bring the min amount of things required for a few hours of shooting. (ie. camera and a few € for food etc, thieves are a real problem everywhere). * PLEASE BRING >> POSITIVE VIBES :) *** ESPAÑOL * En primer lugar, nos reuniremos, saludaremos y repasaremos el mapa de la ruta y los objetivos durante unos 15 minutos. Common among youth but fades as interests change. * **Virtue (The "Complete" Friendship)**: Based on mutual respect for each other's character and goodness. You wish good for the other for their sake, not yours. * **Key Principles of "True" (Virtuous) Friendship:** * **Permanence**: Virtuous friendships last a lifetime whereas those based on utility and pleasure are fleeting. * **Reciprocity**: Requires mutual goodwill; secret or unreciprocated affection does not qualify. * **The "Second Self"**: A true friend is "another self"—their virtue helps you understand and improve yourself. * **Time and Intimacy**: Deep ("complete") friendships are few, built on time and shared experiences. * **Self-Love and Friendship:** * Good friendship starts with being a friend to yourself. * They distinguish shallow egoism (chasing honors) from real self-love (pursuing virtue). * A virtuous person’s pleasant self-company allows them to be a stable, good friend to others. * Aristotle argues that one's social circle ultimately reflects one's character—a view with striking relevance today.
