Join us for an in-between, what day is it, swim! It's cold at the moment so don't stay in too long if you are not used to the cold water. Bring a hot drink and layers for afterwards. High tide is 1830 so we will have just enough water. Looking forward to seeing you there :-)

Our free-of-charge meet-up upstairs in Ryan's Bar. This is a casual meet up for people who want to play boardgames. Lots of people bring plenty of games and rules will always be explained so don't worry if you're new to the hobby and you don't have anything to bring along or think you won't know how to play. Late comers always welcome, you just might have to wait a little for a game to open up. **The meet ups are free of charge but we do ask that people support the bar by buying food and/or drink. The bar is very accommodating to us and it's important that we support them in return. Join us for a relaxed post-Christmas daytime run, aiming for around 10km on grass and trails. Depending on numbers, we’ll look to split into pace groups of approximately 5:00/km, 5:30/km and 6:00/km. If the Visitor Centre café is open, we’ll stick around for a coffee afterwards.

1. * Kick off **2026** with a hilly cycle to the lovely village of **Enniskerry**, then back to Dublin by **Glencree village** and over the **Featherbeds**, finishing with a nice downhill into Rathfarnham **Level of difficulty**: 60km, 710m climbing NOTE: We will be keeping an even pace on this cycle. Here is our plan for the day. 1️⃣ We leave from Cafe Nero at 930am 2️⃣Cycle out to Eniskerry where we stop for coffee 3️⃣ Continue to Glencree, over the Featherbeds, and back to Rathfarnham 4️⃣ All going well we should be back in the city centre easily by 2 pm Please wear a helmet and bring a tube, etc, in case you get a puncture. Please note - It is every participant's responsibility to ride safely, follow the rules of the road, and come prepared with the proper equipment. Details: Ring out 2025 with a last blast in the hills climbing to Glencullen before a return to Dublin along the coast from Killiney. Distance: 50kms, 500m ascent. Note that there is a long unbroken climb of over 400metres from Rathfarnham up towards the Glencullen valley. Here is our plan for the day. We meet and leave Portobello Harbour, Rathmines at 10.30am. We cycle out through Terenure and Rathfarnham before beginning the 400metres climb up towards Glencullen. We will have a coffee/refreshments stop at Johnny Fox’s pub in Glencullen. From Glencullen we descend to join the coastal route from Killiney through Dun Laoghaire, Blackrock and back to the city. Please wear a helmet and bring a tube, etc., in case of a puncture. Join us at Easton Town Center for a casual evening of board gaming. Play from our library or bring one of your favorites to share. We usually bring along Catan, Ticket to Ride, Cascadia, etc... We'll be set up at the Donatos Pizza Party Room. It was free for us to reserve, but you may want to buy a drink or go in on a pizza. Why Easton? Although there aren't any board game stores / cafes here, it's a nice area. More importantly, this event coincides with LifeTime Fitness Parent's Night Out, so our kid will get babysat. If you happen to be a member of Lifetime you too can get free babysitting and play some games.

######## NEW LOCATION ####### We are going to be at The Forge on Bethel Rd this week and until further notice! The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group! The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play. Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes. We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area! Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the building that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
