Sunday Badminton Event (10.30h-12.30h) Raketworld U3 Kendlerstraße
This is our weekly event! ----------------- Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). The fee for this event is 12€ (for the 2 hours). If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available. We are meeting at about 10:25 am near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but for the men lockers you need a padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. There is a drinking fountain available if you need to replenish your bottle. If you do not have a racket, it is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3€). Sometimes the host or other members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below! If you are joining our events for the first time, WELCOME! Let the host know that you are new and they will find a place for you. Don't worry, we are an open and friendly group. We are sure you will develop connections with the people in our community in no time! Without further ado - let's play some badminton and have fun together!

The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald
The Great Gatsby, F. Scott Fitzgerald’s third book, stands as the supreme achievement of his career. First published in 1925, this quintessential novel of the Jazz Age has been acclaimed by generations of readers. The story of the mysteriously wealthy Jay Gatsby and his love for the beautiful Daisy Buchanan, of lavish parties on Long Island at a time when The New York Times noted “gin was the national drink and sex the national obsession,” it is an exquisitely crafted tale of America in the 1920s.
Humming Traditions: SODAI - Straw, Form & Wind
Humming Traditions: SODAI - Straw, Form & Wind
An immersive workshop for adults, quiet hands, patient minds, and those who enjoy the slow rhythm of creation. 🌿Limited spots. The group is limited to 8 people. You can secure your place by purchasing a ticket through the link: https://doobeedoo-goodies.sumupstore.com/produkt/humming-traditions-sodai-straw-form-and-wind 🌿Date: 22nd of February 🌿Time: 15:00—17:00 (it might take longer, depending on group tempo) 🌿Location: DooBeeDoo Goodies Atelier (Märzstraße 86, 1150 Vienna) Step into the gentle rhythm of creation and discover Sodai, traditional Lithuanian straw mobiles that once filled homes with balance, harmony, and quiet beauty. In this workshop, we will explore the geometry of air, learning how to prepare and string straw into delicate symmetrical forms that sway softly with every breeze. Piece by piece, your hands will follow the same patterns that generations before us used to invite order and peace into their homes. You’ll learn the basic techniques of straw preparation, stringing, and construction, and experience how a simple natural material can transform into something light, precise, and full of meaning. Together, we’ll move through a calm, meditative process, each gesture connecting thought, breath, and creation in quiet balance. By the end, you’ll leave not only with your own handmade Sodas, a timeless ornament carrying both heritage and your creative touch, but also with the knowledge, focus, and stillness that this ancient craft awakens. It feels less like finishing an object and more like completing a gentle ritual of patience and peace. To keep the experience personal and attentive, the group will be small and intimate, space is limited, so that every participant can receive individual guidance and care. This workshop invites you to slow down, focus, and reconnect — with your hands, your thoughts, and the quiet poetry of simple materials. No previous experience is needed, only patient hands, a calm mind, and an eye for quiet detail. 🌿🌿🌿 Humming Traditions is a series of creative workshops that explore the living, breathing essence of cultural practices. Each event invites participants to connect with ancient techniques, natural materials, and artistic expression in a hands-on, immersive experience. The series celebrates the quiet resonance of tradition, the subtle vibrations, textures, and forms that have carried meaning through centuries. Whether through sound, movement, or craft, Humming Traditions is about experiencing culture as a living, dynamic, and tactile art form. Each workshop stands on its own yet shares a common thread: creativity, mindfulness, and a connection to nature and heritage. Participants leave with newly learned skills, a calm mind, and a deeper appreciation for cultural artistry.

Projects that are over budget, delayed, or that fail to scale past the POC phase are very common. In many of these scenarios, choosing the right approach can be as critical as the solution itself. Should you build a tailored machine learning model, leverage the power of large language models (LLMs), or integrate with AI copilots? Each option has unique strengths, trade-offs, and resource requirements, and the key to success lies in aligning your choice with your business goals and technical constraints. In this talk, we will go beyond the basic concepts and definitions to provide a practical guide that allows attendees to navigate these decisions through real-world case studies. We will examine scenarios in which different AI paradigms were chosen, discuss the factors that influenced those decisions, and outline the process for evaluating needs, constraints, and outcomes. From assessing data availability and team expertise to balancing cost and scalability, you'll gain insights into the critical considerations that guide the selection process. By the end of this session, you’ll have a clear process for determining whether machine learning, LLMs, or copilots are best suited to your AI challenges and understand the resources and strategies needed to bring your chosen solution to life. This talk is ideal for decision-makers, technical leads, and innovators seeking to demystify AI implementation and maximize the impact of their investments.

Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit - Barret Blake
Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit - Barret Blake
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you. The building address is 4450 Bridge Park The entrance is 6620 Mooney St, Suite 400 You will need to scan your ID at the door to get a visitor badge. **Abstract** *Spec-Driven Development with GitHub Spec-Kit: From Intent to Implementation* Spec-driven development flips the traditional workflow on its head: instead of code being the source of truth, the specification becomes the backbone of design, collaboration, and delivery. In this session, we’ll explore how GitHub Spec-Kit enables teams to treat specifications as first-class artifacts—living documents that drive architecture, implementation, and verification. You’ll learn how Spec-Kit helps teams clearly express intent using structured, version-controlled specs that live alongside code. We’ll walk through a practical workflow that starts with defining system behavior and constraints, then progressively refines those specs into testable, automatable outcomes. Along the way, we’ll show how specs can reduce ambiguity, improve cross-functional collaboration, and make design decisions explicit before a single line of production code is written. This talk will cover: --What spec-driven development is (and what it isn’t) --How GitHub Spec-Kit fits into modern developer workflows --Using specs to align product, engineering, and AI-assisted development --Real-world examples of turning specs into implementations with confidence Whether you’re building greenfield systems, integrating AI into your stack, or trying to reduce costly rework, spec-driven development offers a scalable way to move faster without sacrificing clarity. Attendees will leave with concrete patterns and a clear mental model for adopting GitHub Spec-Kit in their own projects. **YouTube Link** TBA
