Welcome to Super Lazy Cardboard Saturdays! Unlike our other game days, this one is a little on the lazy side. These are the times when gems like Mountain Goats, GPS, 15 Days will shine. Azul, Splendor, Jamaica and even slightly heavier ones like the Kodama series are also popular especially if all you want is to spend a day in the magical forests with the spirits. But still, you will not be able to stop guys organising an expedition to the Copperneck Mountains in Gloomhaven or to set the masts ablaze among the mighty airships in Avertigo in the south china airs and seas. For the creatives out there, you might bump into others with similar interests as game designers, illustrators and you know, the arty-farties tend to gather on Saturdays to show off their stuff and chat. **For ages 8 and above.** These 3 traditional martial art forms will be taught during the 2 hour class: * Kalaripayattu * Silambattam * Adimurai **About Kalaripayattu** Thought to be one of the most ancient martial arts in recorded history, Kalaripayattu is derived from two words, “Kalari” signifying battlefield or arena and “payattu” which translates to the words ‘practice’ and ‘exercise’. **About Silambattam** Hailing from the region of Tamil Nadu (India) where it emerged around 1000 BCE, Silamabattam is a popular variant of weapon-based martial arts which is performed with the aid of specific weapons, primarily Rattan staffs, short sticks, deer horns and swords. **About Adimurai** Adimurai is a generic term applied for the indigenous martial arts of the Indian/Tamilian archipelago. Adimurai in general refers to the sport of using techniques derived from Indian and Tamil martial-arts. It uses kicks and boxing-mannered punches to defeat an opponent in ways that are analogous to standard present-day boxing. **For ages 17 and above.** Rumba, often nicknamed the “dance of love”, is derived from the Afro-Caribbean ballroom dance “Son” popular in the 1930s. Its slower, smooth and continuous hip actions, known as the ‘Cuban movement’, give it a romantic and sensual feel. Absolute Archery (Singapore) was inaugurated in 2020, aiming to provide training venue, competitive coaching, fun shoot events and a place for the community bring people together to advocate and support each other in pursuing the sports.
