Join us to set up for the [Special Olympics Track and Field competition](https://www.sotx.org/event-detail/19053566)! General Set-Up Volunteers play a vital role in preparing competition venues for Special Olympics events. This role supports a wide variety of sports and playing surfaces, including courts, fields, and indoor or outdoor facilities. We will be unloading trucks, setting up tents, tables, chairs and more. This will help ensure the venue is safe, organized, and ready for athletes, coaches, officials, and spectators. Volunteers should be able to bend, kneel, stretch, and lift 10 lb boxes. Bring Drivers License or picture ID to volunteer checkin. Note that setup is scheduled for *the evening before* the big event. In addition to his comics, Santoro has been an influential voice in comics education and criticism, co-founding the magazine *ComicsComics* and creating the **Santoro Correspondence Course for Comic Book Makers**, which has helped train and inspire a new generation of cartoonists. Afterwards, we will have time to work on our individual art projects, hang out, and if anyone is interested in feedback on their work, there will be time for that as well.
