We are a group of runners who meet most weeks for a run around the beautiful Vltava River's edge. We’re launching the Critical Futures Collective with Martin Heidegger’s *The Question Concerning Technology* — a short but profoundly influential essay that asks what technology *really* is beyond devices, apps, and machines. Heidegger argues that modern technology doesn’t just change the world around us; it changes how the world is revealed to us, and in turn how we understand ourselves. It’s a dense, provocative text that lays the groundwork for thinking about subjectivity, acceleration, and the pressures of the digital age — exactly the terrain this group will explore. We’ll approach it through close reading and shared inquiry, working passage by passage rather than offering summaries or lectures. The essay is compact enough to discuss in one meeting, but rich enough to merit a second. If the conversation demands it, we’ll happily continue in a follow-up session.

**Doing KPIs Right: a KEY to Analytics (and AI!) Impact!** On the one hand, KPIs are such a Business 101 concept that it may seem a little silly to dedicate an entire session to the topic. On the other hand, KPIs get handled so poorly so often that a case could be made that this meetup could just be one of the most impactful sessions of the entire year!
