Curso de Filosofía de la ecología humana Las raíces de la transformación humana ¿Qué entendemos por transformaciòn humana? ¿Qué significa transformación radical? ¿Qué posibilidades tenemos los seres humanos de transformarnos y en qué sentido podemos hacerlo de forma radical? El curso de filosofía de la ecología humana pretende responder a estas y otras preguntas, planteando a los participantes nuevas e importantes cuestiones sobre nuestras posibilidades reales e impensadas de autotransformación. Será un recorrido crítico y problemático por algunas de las teorías, ideas y filosofías contemporáneas más relevantes que han puesto de relieve la importancia de la transformación radical, en una época de grandes cambios científicos, políticos y sociales. Acompañados por el filósofo Emanuele Profumi, el curso se desarrollará siguiendo una evolución argumentativa precisa, permitiendo a quienes tienen una formación filosófica enriquecer su bagaje de conocimientos y cuestiones que profundizar, y a quienes no tienen formación filosófica orientarse y pensar gracias a la filosofía, descubriendo sorprendentes formas de pensar nuestra condición humana y nuestras posibilidades como seres humanos. **Sarrià, el último pueblo en ser anexionado por Barcelona (1921)**, conserva un cierto aire popular, de cuando se trataba de una villa de menestrales, con zonas agrícolas y grandes mansiones de ricos barceloneses que iban a pasar el verano allí. Durante el recorrido guiado por el viejo Sarrià, de carácter panorámico, vamos a descubrir la historia del barrio, vamos a conocer anécdotas curiosas y vamos a pasear por algunos de los rincones más emblemáticos de Sarrià, un antiguo pueblo que ha sabido mantenerse fiel a su esencia. We begin with a question that seems almost too obvious to ask: is 2+2=4 really true? In everyday life it feels immediate—two apples and two apples make four apples. But mathematics asks a deeper question: how do we actually know something is true? One way is through proof. A proof starts from a few basic statements and rules, and step by step derives a new statement from them. The key challenge, then, is choosing the right starting points. Mathematicians eventually chose sets—simple collections of objects—as the most fundamental building blocks. From a few basic assumptions about sets, we can define numbers, define addition, and gradually build the entire structure of mathematics. Even a statement as simple as 2+2=4 can therefore be derived from these basic principles. In this session we will not focus on technical details, but on understanding the overall structure of the idea. The reasoning can be followed in simple terms, even by non-mathematicians, and it reveals something remarkable: from a small number of simple starting points, an enormous world of mathematical knowledge can be built. Along the way, we will also look at the historical path that led to this view—how mathematicians gradually refined these ideas over centuries in an intellectual quest to understand the foundations of mathematics. Swing by *Gresso's* for the **Columbus Improv Comedy Meetup** for some fun and games! The idea behind improv is to create entire scenes from scratch based on a suggestion from the audience. This can be done in game form, like *Whose Line Is It Anyway*, *ComedySportz*, or *Wild 'n Out*; it could also be done to tell stories, like *Middleditch and Schwartz*. Our meetup, which is central Ohio's longest running (and free!) weekly comedy event, brings the games (and occasionally different forms) for you to play in a safe, supportive, and compassionate environment.
