El Rol en Viu consisteix a afegir-li una acció més teatral i dramàtica a aquests enfrontaments. Si t'interessa aprendre a combatre, emular les lluites de les teves pel·lícules favorites, lluitar amb espasa, subjectar un escut, dominar els secrets de l'equilibri de peus o fer fitnes d'un mode diferent; el Softcombat i el Rol en Viu són una activitat que has de provar. **És durant el matí de 11h a 13.30h quan major quantitat de participants es reuneixen. Si algú trenca l'equip d'una altra persona, el propietari pot reclamar una compensació econòmica pels materials. 7. Els **menors de 14 anys** hauran d'anar acompanyats d'un adult responsable. Els menors de 16 anys hauran de portar un document emès per un tutor responsable, eximint de responsabilitat als Organitzadors (o confirmar meetup conforme l'acceptació d'aquestes normes). 8. **L'Organització no es farà responsable** de cap mena de lesió, mal o ferida que pugui succeir durant els entrenaments. 9. Hola a tod@s, Soy Miguel, Doctor en Historia Contemporánea y animador de este grupo de meet up. En esta ocasión os invito a encontrarnos para realizar la ruta dedicada a La II REPÚBLICA Y LA GUERRA CIVIL EN BARCELONA. Esta es la segunda de las rutas de la trilogía dedicada a la historia social de Barcelona en el siglo XX. Los que ya me conocéis sabéis que es uno de los temas que más me apasiona y he trabajado sobre ello publicando varios artículos y un libro. En esta ruta intentaré transmitiros todo lo que he aprendido mientras recorremos juntos los escenarios de los episodios más apasionantes de la historia de la II República y la Guerra Civil. Entre otras cosas nos sorprenderemos descubriendo los paralelismos con los tiempos recientes, conociendo qué ocurrió en el pasado cuando Cataluña se proclamó República (en 1931 y en 1934) y veremos cual fue la reacción del gobierno español. Conoceremos de cerca las huellas que dejó la revolución social de 1936 en Barcelona, así como las cicatrices que aún perduran en la ciudad fruto de los bombardeos durante la guerra. Eso y mucho más. **The RPG School Initiative** a *beginner-focused* one-shot event series RPG School offers a beginner-focused, relaxed atmosphere to experience the joy of table-top roleplaying gaming for the first time. We will show you the ropes and dice, take you on a fun adventure and are prepared for all your questions. No prior experience with roleplaying or the system is needed. We will be playing Daggerheart, a new Fantasy RPG by Critical Role, using a world called Beast Feast: A bit absurd, certainly comedic, sometimes creepy, but always fun and silly. You will be playing with three to four other players at one table, the assignment happens during the event. We start each adventure with a short introduction, where you learn about the basics and pick your pre-made character. Afterwards we dive into a unique experience, explaining the rules and concepts while actually playing the game. At the end, we have time to talk and find connections as well as hear your thoughts and questions. All games are in English. Packing only the essentials, you head out and turn west, to the well-known but shunned entrance to the legendary endless caves. What dangers and wonders will you encounter? What happened to the lure? For his part, Pope Leo has told journalists, “I am not afraid of the Trump administration,” and has found himself at the center of a heated debate over the proper role of any pope when it comes to commenting on global politics. As unsettling as such developments might be to Roman Catholics, they’re hardly unprecedented. Disagreements between popes and world leaders go back to the Middle Ages, and have played a significant role in shaping the Church and its role in the world. Explore the long history of popes’ conflicts with politicians with Vanessa Corcoran, a historian of the Roman Catholic Church who previously has given excellent talks on papal conclaves and the evolution of nativity scenes. She’ll discuss fascinating developments such as the fourteenth century Avignon Papacy, when Philip IV of France got the upper hand in a feud with the Church by pressuring a papal conclave to select a French pope and then getting the church’s leadership relocated from Rome to Avignon for nearly 70 years. In drawing parallels between recent events and medieval attacks on the Church’s authority she’ll describe how today’s anti-Church memes echo the anti-pope and anti-Catholic images that Martin Luther disseminated in large numbers with the help of woodcut printing. This group is for anyone who wants to explore Buddhist meditation in a relaxed and supportive setting. Each session includes a short meditation, a simple teaching from Buddhist psychology, and an open discussion about how these ideas show up in everyday life. While our foundation is Buddhist practice, we love weaving in wisdom from other traditions whenever it helps us grow, find peace, and support each other. Members of our community come from many different backgrounds, and you do not need to consider yourself a Buddhist to attend. All are welcome. We’ll look at the pros and cons of this relay play, known as a “cut-off,” in the context of the physics of projectile motion. Finally, we will also look into high-profile cheating scandals involving corked bats and doctored balls. Dr. Paulson will present models to explain how these alterations to the equipment can benefit the batter and pitcher respectively, and he’ll discuss how much these models are backed up by data. Sunday, May 17, 2026 **How Bad Were Bad Roman Emperors?** Josiah Osgood – Georgetown University Nero fiddling while Rome burned, Caligula appointing his horse as consul, Commodus fighting as a gladiator: Rome’s worst emperors live on in popular memory as few other figures from the past do. Just how bad were these men? Modern historians have often dismissed ancient accounts as unreliable and also have suggested that it didn’t matter who the emperor was. A re-examination of the evidence, including recent archaeological finds, however, argues that an emperor could put his stamp on a whole age and affect the lives of millions for good and for bad. Come and meet anew these notorious rulers and learn how their abuse of power generated a literature of protest that has shaped culture to the present day.
