[Version française en dessous] Hi! We are aiming to recreate the atmosphere of the Franglish language exchange sessions : you get 30 minutes with a language partner speaking the language you want to practice, then switch to another partner, all while enjoying a drink! Equal time for everyone, and everyone will get to practice! For example if you are an anglophone and want to practice French, you will be paired with someone, speak English for 15 minutes, then switch to French for 15 minutes. After that, you will get a new partner, and start all over again. There will be a 5€ entry fee (in cash or with the Lydia app), and participants will have to buy one drink or get something to eat. We will take a short break at around 8:30, and that will be the perfect time to grab some charcuterie, cheese, or mixed board for 13€. Salut ! Nous souhaitons recréer l'atmosphère des rencontres Franglish : 30 minutes avec un.e partenaire qui parle la langue que vous voulez pratiquer, et ensuite vous passez à un.e autre partenaire, le tout en profitant d'un verre ! Autant de temps de parole pour tous et toutes, et tout le monde pourra pratiquer ! Par exemple si vous êtes anglophone, et vous souhaitez pratiquer le français, vous serez en face de quelqu'un qui parle anglais pendant 15 minutes, puis vous passerez tous les deux au français pendant 15 minutes. Après ça, vous changerez de partenaire, et tout recommence. 5€ de participation (en liquide ou avec l'appli Lydia) seront demandés à l'entrée, et les participants devront commander une consommation. Nous ferons une courte pause vers 20h30, qui sera l'occasion de profiter des planches charcuterie, fromage ou mixte à 13€ proposées par le café.

As we learn, we hope to connect more with the Deaf community in Central Ohio. Join us as you're able! Come regularly or just once - whatever you're looking for! Each meetup will explore different topics related to ASL/Deaf culture, and will feature time to practice conversation with one another. Just bring yourself and a willingness to learn!

Hey Everyone! Let's meet at Belle's Bread Bakery and Cafe. There is lots of free parking and easy access to the cafe and many shops and restaurants as well.
