Apparemment jamais deux sans trois, donc on remet ça ! Notre rendez-vous avec le théâtre et l’improvisation commence doucement à prendre sa place au café. L’idée reste la même : créer un moment simple, où l’on peut venir essayer sans pression. Alors si tu veux rejoindre l’aventure maintenant, pas besoin d’être venu aux précédentes éditions, pas besoin d’avoir déjà fait du théâtre, ni même d’être extraverti. L’idée, c’est juste de venir, de te laisser porter par les exercices, les échanges, les impros, et tu seras peut-être surpris de voir ce qui en sort. C’est un atelier qui permet de découvrir une discipline artistique, mais aussi de rencontrer du monde autrement, en tentant quelque chose qu’on n’ose pas toujours faire. Cela vous semble-t-il donner envie à l’autre de contribuer ?** Il est fréquent que, par fatigue, habitude, mais aussi du fait de notre éducation, nous fassions des reproches à l’autre dans l’attente qu’il fasse quelque chose, comme s’il était responsable de nos émotions et de nos besoins. Malheureusement, cette manière d’interpeller l’autre sur notre besoin (d’aide par exemple) n’est pas très efficace : en plus de ne pas obtenir ce qui nous rendrait la vie plus belle, cela peut même dégrader les futures interactions avec cette personne. Je vous propose lors de cet atelier d’introduction d’explorer une manière d’exprimer ce qui nous traverse dans le respect de soi et de l’autre afin d’ouvrir le dialogue. Quatre exercices pour couvrir les 4 étapes du processus OSBD utilisé en CNV : \- formuler des Observations et les distinguer des pensées\, interprétations\, jugements… \- identifier ses Sentiments et les distinguer de possibles évaluations masquées \- se connecter à ses Besoins et les distinguer des stratégies \- formuler des Demandes positives\, concrètes\, réalistes\, négociables et les distinguer d’exigences Le but étant toujours : la connexion avant le résultat ! Il sera toujours plus profitable aux deux parties que l’un accepte la demande de l’autre par élan plutôt que par soumission. Un refus ? Peut-être est-ce là une opportunité d’échanger avec l’autre autour des besoins auxquels il dit oui quand il répond “non” à votre demande. Lyric writing weekly group practice. A few object writing rounds to start, get our reps in — a favorite from the canon, Write Better Lyrics by P. Pattinson.* Followed by other exercises. I adapt the program depending on who shows up. *Object writing : a noun picked through a random word generator, a 10 min timer to delve into our sensory imagination and free-flow with this prompt. We then take turn sharing.

Nous poursuivons le cycle consacré à Marcel Proust avec le 5e volume de la "Recherche" soit : **"La Prisonnière" Fin de parite partie** (jusque la fin donc, du volume ). "...Le narrateur est de retour à Paris, dans la maison de ses parents, absents pour le moment. Il y vit avec Albertine, et Françoise, la bonne. Les deux amants ont chacun leur chambre et leur salle de bains. Le narrateur fait tout pour contrôler la vie d’Albertine, afin d’éviter qu’elle donne des rendez-vous à des femmes. Il la maintient pour ainsi dire prisonnière chez lui, et lorsqu’elle sort, il s’arrange pour qu’Andrée, une amie commune aux deux amoureux, suive Albertine dans tous ses déplacements. L’attitude du narrateur est très proche de celle de Swann avec Odette dans Un Amour de Swann....." Join us on Saturday for an hour of uninterrupted wordmaking! • What we'll do Join us for an hour of writing! We’ve discovered that it’s strikingly helpful to write with other writers. See if it’s true for you at 10AM on Saturday mornings. Be it a book, blog, script, essay, dissertation, resume, melody, poem or just plain work stuff, you are invited to write it with us. No one will see what you've written or give you unsolicited advice. Instead of just thinking about writing, come and get some real writing done. SCHEDULE: 10:00 - SESSION 1: quick intros. 10:10 - timer starts: write for 1 hour. 11:10 - chat / take off / keep writing. OPTIONAL SOCIALIZING happens at 11A-11:30ish. Writing is very solitary. The main entrance of the shopping center opens onto stairs/elevator leading up to the 2nd floor cafe section where we will have a table displaying a sign with the Shut Up & Write logo. Writing is largely a solitary craft. Practicing with others in a community setting may be the thing you need to fire your own routine. We’ll meet on Wednesday evenings, starting the clock at 6:30, following a brief period of introductions. This is solid writing time and all inclusive. Any project is acceptable, be it fiction, non -fiction, work or homework assignment. All is welcome and will remain private to you. The market boasts a Starbucks, a full service bar and various affordable food options. Parking is plentiful, free Wifi is provided as well as outlets for charging your devices, though they are somewhat limited, so plan accordingly. Show up as early as you like, or stay late. This group tends to socialize some, both before and after the alloted time, but this is not mandatory to you. Feel free to come and go as you please and late arrivals are welcome.
