Hi everyone, This coffee morning event is @MIR Concept Coffee Store! Saturday, 7 March 2026, from 10:00 - 13:00. MIR opened its doors about 4 years ago, right off Place Jourdan. Doriana, the owner, is a super nice host, and is excited to have our group as her café. The café is very beautiful and has great coffee, and many yummy food options. Their Instagram channel: https://www.instagram.com/mirconceptstore/ **The address is:** MIR Concept Coffee Store Rue Gray 4A 1040 Etterbeek *** 1. The **prime time** of the event is **10:30 - 12:30**. That's when most people will be there. 2. When you enter the gallery, it's either on the right-hand side or left-hand side of its hallway, depending which entrance you take. 3. If you intend **to join past 12:00** (high noon), then there is no need to register. Just come and join! 4. **DON'T forget to cancel** if you can't join! 5. **Please, be respectful towards each other during the event. Sometimes, it took them more than one attempt before being able to join.* *Occasionally, people reach out to me before the event, and I have always been grateful for that as it offers the opportunity to communicate with each other and to find the best and most gentle way for that person to join the group.* *I would like to encourage everyone who struggles with this to contact me before. It would really be too bad if you can't join us, as it mostly gets better the second or third time you come.* *In addition to that, if you arrive and notice any signs of nervousness or fear, you can always let me know right then.* **THANK YOU AND SEE YOU ALL ON Saturday!**

Cogniflux Open Lab - cognitive workout
Cogniflux Open Lab - cognitive workout
Do you want to improve your mental stamina, focus and creativity? Cognfilux Lab offers the opportunity of experiencing a cognitive workout based on neuropsychology principles and peer-review research in a challenging and enjoyable training circuit format. Feeling overloaded at work or beyond is often times a reflection of saturation of the brain's core control system. The good news is that a correct exercise routine can amplify and strengthen our cognitive capacity resulting in better focus and increased mental bandwith. During a Cogniflux Open Lab, participants perform optimally-designed cognitive training exercises rotating through different stations featuring a sensor system that captures reaction times and decisions. This allows to train at a tailored difficulty level that is based on individual performances. The workout lasts one hour and includes physical activity in a social setting. The next session will take place on Saturday 7th from 16h00 to 17h00 at the Lokahi Holistic Studio in Place du Chatelain 23. Admission to the event requires registration. Spots are limited. To book your spot [click here](https://luma.com/oh4rre34).
La mixtura de culturas toma forma y fuerza poética en las manos de la escritora.* As usual for the first Saturday group, you may use both English and Spanish during the book discussion; you just need an acceptable level of oral comprehension of both languages to fully enjoy it.

Deep Conversation-- Question Chosen in Session
Deep Conversation-- Question Chosen in Session
Welcome to our weekly event in the upstairs room of The Sister Café, rue Chair et Pain 3, one block from the Grand Place. Please get there early enough to order your drink at the bar first. Thank you! After introductions we will collect questions from the group participants, choose one by voting then discuss it for an hour. Then most of us stay for drinks and bizarre conversations. Past questions have been wide and not confined to academic philosophy: What is a genuine friend? Is social media turning us into emotional zombies? Do we lose some of the experience of things by defining them? Are we driven by sex? Is loneliness a personal failure? Is morality relative? **Crucially, be kind and respectful and generous** in your disagreements; remember how much you personally enjoy someone else proving you wrong before celebrating your cutting counterexamples.

MIRACLE CHOICE — A GAME THAT OPENS DOORS
MIRACLE CHOICE — A GAME THAT OPENS DOORS
Hello everyone, I’m hosting a ACIM ("A Course in Miracles") board game and dinner afternoon-evening at my home on **March Sunday 8th from 16h \~ 21h**. This will be **"auberge espagnole"**, so bring a dish that you'd enjoy sharing with the group. : ) Here is a little bit about the game : **MIRACLE CHOICE — A GAME THAT OPENS DOORS** *Do you ever feel stuck, unsure, or unable to move forward with clarity? Miracle Choice invites you to explore those moments through play — and discover the inner choices that shape your life.* *Inspired by A Course in Miracles, Miracle Choice is an experience that allows you to discover your inner choice in any moment. Playing brings individual insights, group celebrations, and feedback on your playing intention. Above all, you will have an experience of choosing Love over fear, deepening your awareness of who you truly are.* 💛 *The board game is played with a Facilitator whose presence reminds you to listen deeply to your own inner wisdom. This support creates a safe space for insights and often surprising, life-changing transformation.* *The original game launched in 2014 and takes you on a journey to discover your inner choices. Its purpose is simple: “Choose love rather than fear and feel joy rather than pain.”* *Each session begins with a short meditation so you can connect with your inner Guide or Teacher, followed by choosing a game intention so that the insights you receive are specific and relevant to your situation.* *Address: La Hulpe 1310 (given to the participants)* Please let me know if you would like to come. Dean, an experienced learner and facilitator of « A Course In Miracles », will join us !!! We both look forward to playing this game with you and meeting in person. : ) Warmly, Ana & Dean \*If you are interested but cannot make it this time, we might organize other sessions, so let us know. *** Hi there curious people :) Several of you have requested additional information about the game. Here it is: The original game, launched in 2014, takes you on a journey to discover your inner choices. The purpose of playing is: “Choose LOVE rather than fear and feel JOY rather than pain.”It begins with a brief meditation to connect with your inner Guide or Teacher. Afterwards, you choose a game intention so that the insights received are specific and relevant to your questions. Play is fun and dynamic. As a player, you can land on six different spaces: Needs, Body, Relationship, Identity, Choice and Miracles before you get to the Real World in the centre of the board. Cards are selected in every round. Most messages have been specially created for the game, and others are short quotes from ACIM (A Course in Miracles). The card insights are shared with the group and can relate directly or indirectly to the game intentions of all players. Your takeaway: \- Feeling emotionally lighter and mentally enlightened in relation to your intention/question\. \- Feeling joyful after a nice moment of sharing with a small group of new people :\) Looking forward to playing with you!

Reset Your Nervous System: Restorative Evening Masterclass
Reset Your Nervous System: Restorative Evening Masterclass
A 2-hour guided reset for an overstimulated body and a busy mind. If you’ve ever wished the Savasana - the final calming pose at the end of yoga class - could last much longer, this masterclass was created exactly with you in mind. For two full hours, we slow everything down. No rushing. No squeezing “relaxation” into the last 5 minutes. Just spacious, grounding, deeply calming restorative yoga - the kind that lets your body unwind while your nervous system finally exhales. Think of it as an evening for connoisseurs of stillness. A gentle, thoughtful practice designed for those who don’t just want rest… but truly need it. 🌿 Why restorative yoga matters now more than ever? Most of us live in a chronic state of “go-mode”: tight shoulders, shallow breath, difficulty switching off. Restorative yoga works by giving your body permission to downshift. When you’re supported and still, your nervous system receives a profound message of safety, and only then can it begin to heal, recalibrate, and return to balance. This masterclass is for you if: -You crave a slower, softer, deeply nurturing practice -Your days feel overstimulating, busy or noisy -You struggle to disconnect, even when you're tired -You love the restorative part of regular class and want more! You’ll walk away with: ✔ A deeply rested body ✔ A calmer, more regulated nervous system ✔ A sense of groundedness you can actually feel ✔ Simple restorative shapes you can return to anytime ✔ A warm group experience that feels like an exhale …and as a little added sweetness: a treat from @brioche et cafe, plus a small, but truly lovely, surprise gift to take home. 📅 Details: Date: 08/03/2026 Time: 18:00–20:00 Location: Ambiorix 7, Brussels Price: 45 EUR ###### Location Square Ambiorix 7 (1st floor) **Important**: The event is limited to 10 participants, regardless of the suggested capacity shown on Meetup. Sunday at Highbanks Metro Park
We will meet next to the restrooms at the [Big Meadows Picnic Area](https://www.metroparks.net/wp-content/uploads/2022/06/HBK_Web_1980.png). We'll hike about 5 miles at [Highbanks Metro Park](https://www.metroparks.net/parks-and-trails/highbanks/) on the Dripping Rock and Overlook Trails. Afterward, we'll head over to [Olentangy River Brewing](https://www.olentangybrew.com/) for drinks, coffee, or food (their Sunday [food truck](https://www.olentangybrew.com/eventsandfood) is Venezuelan and always gets good reviews). The actual address of the brewery is [303 Green Meadows Dr S, 43035](https://www.google.com/maps/place/303+Green+Meadows+Dr+S,+Lewis+Center,+OH+43035/@40.1551938,-83.0144045,17.25z/data=!4m6!3m5!1s0x8838f395cef06c97:0xe407de61b3e30069!8m2!3d40.1551765!4d-83.0124352!16s%2Fg%2F11c26jc7j9?entry=ttu). If you can't make the hike, we should be there by noon. **How to find our starting point in Big Meadows:** If you are new to Highbanks, the Big Meadows picnic area is 1.5 miles into the park just after you turn into the park off of U.S. Route 23. That is, after you enter the park, drive a mile and a half into the park. You will come to a crosswalk with a yield sign in the middle of it (this is not to be confused with the first such crosswalk you come to just in front of the Nature Center, which you arrive at maybe a quarter of a mile into the park). Just after this second crosswalk, make a left. Then make another almost immediate left into the parking lot on your left. There you will see the jungle gym and the kiddie zip line to your left. I will be just in front of the restrooms just a bit further down from the jungle gym and picnic shelter; the restroom building will also be on your left.

Trails & Ales! Slate Run Metro Park / Loose Rail Brewing
Trails & Ales! Slate Run Metro Park / Loose Rail Brewing
**History** [Slate Run Metro Park](https://www.metroparks.net/parks-and-trails/slate-run/), located south of Canal Winchester in Pickaway County, has roots tracing back to the early planning efforts of the Columbus and Franklin County Metropolitan Park District. In 1963, Metro Parks officials identified the land along Slate Run as having strong potential for a large metropolitan park due to its expansive acreage, diverse habitats, and natural features like the stream that gave the area its name. The largest stream in the vicinity, Slate Run, flows south to northwest through a ridge, providing a logical basis for the park's designation. Between 1964 and 1968, Metro Parks acquired approximately 1,662 acres through multiple parcels, including a key 212-acre farmstead that had been continuously operated since 1805. This acquisition phase positioned Slate Run as a future major addition to the system, following the openings of other parks like Sharon Woods in 1968 and Highbanks in 1973. The park officially opened to the public in 1981, marking it as the sixth Metro Park in the district and, at the time, the largest with its substantial land holdings. From the outset, Metro Parks envisioned incorporating a living historical farm to educate visitors about 19th-century Ohio agriculture. The focal 212-acre parcel, purchased from the White family heirs in 1964, included historic structures that made it ideal for this purpose. The park's development preserved natural areas such as grasslands, wetlands, meadows, and forests while integrating interpretive elements. Upon opening, Slate Run quickly became a popular destination for nature enthusiasts and history buffs alike. Central to the park's identity is the Slate Run Living Historical Farm, which interprets life on a typical Ohio farm in the 1880s. The gothic revival farmhouse on the site was constructed in 1856 by owner Isaac Fridley and later restored by Metro Parks for historical accuracy. Visitors can explore interiors like the living room, parlor, and kitchen, where interpreters demonstrate period activities. The multi-bay barn, built in 1881 by Samuel Oman (the fourth owner), was meticulously restored with help from Amish carpenters. Heirloom animals such as Percheron horses, pigs, geese, and turkeys inhabit the farm, enhancing the immersive experience. The historical farmstead reflects a long lineage of ownership and agricultural use dating back to the early 19th century. Continuous farming on the land since 1805 made the site authentic for recreating late-19th-century practices, including grain harvesting and animal husbandry. Metro Parks focused on authenticity by restoring original buildings and introducing period-appropriate methods, such as horse-powered threshing machines from the late 1880s. The farm operates with volunteers and staff in period attire to portray daily rural life. This educational component has drawn school groups and families for decades. Today, Slate Run Metro Park spans about 1,705 acres and attracts roughly 250,000 visitors annually for its blend of natural preservation and historical interpretation. The park maintains diverse habitats supporting wildlife like nesting sandhill cranes and reintroduced northern bobwhite quail. Trails and open spaces offer opportunities for hiking and observation amid the preserved landscapes. The Living Historical Farm remains a crown jewel, continuing to teach about Ohio's agricultural heritage. Ongoing programs and restorations ensure the site's relevance for future generations. **Map of the Park** Here is a [map of Slate Run](https://www.metroparks.net/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/SLR-parkmap@2x.gif). **Summary** For this event, we will hike the Five Oaks, Sugar Maple, Covered Bridge, Shagbark, and Lake Trails. This will be around 4.5 to 5 miles. While Slate Run is moderately strenuous in a few places, it's generally a good place to hike and doesn't seem to wear people out. Some spots on the hike are unshaded, though, so be prepared for the possibility of some sun. I find Slate Run to be very underappreciated for the quality of its hiking. **Where We'll Meet** We'll meet at the [Shady Grove Picnic Area](https://www.google.com/maps/place/39%C2%B045'30.1%22N+82%C2%B050'13.2%22W/@39.758347,-82.83701,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m4!3m3!8m2!3d39.758347!4d-82.83701?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDIxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D). You can use the map pin I've provided here; it's accurate. There's a latrine at Shady Grove, but there is no running water (no water fountains). We will pass a water fountain when we get to the Buzzard's Roost Picnic Area, although I can't guarantee this fountain won't be off for the winter. I'd recommend bringing some water just in case, at least for after the hike. I'd also recommend [hiking shoes](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0D972KN3W) for this park. **After the Hike** Once we're finished at Slate Run, we'll head over to [Loose Rail Brewing](https://looserailbrewing.com/) for [drinks](https://looserailbrewing.com/canal-winchester-canal-winchester-loose-rail-brewing-drink-menu) and [food](https://looserailbrewing.com/canal-winchester-canal-winchester-loose-rail-brewing-food-menu). The brewery's actual address is [37 W Waterloo St, Canal Winchester, OH 43110](https://www.google.com/maps/place/37+W+Waterloo+St,+Canal+Winchester,+OH+43110/@39.8432511,-82.8071032,17z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m6!3m5!1s0x88387be3ac496d83:0x23e8ee9d9391dd6b!8m2!3d39.8432511!4d-82.8071032!16s%2Fg%2F11cp8n8x1j?entry=ttu&g_ep=EgoyMDI2MDIxMS4wIKXMDSoASAFQAw%3D%3D), and it's about 10-12 minutes from Slate Run. We should be there by 5 if you can't make the hike and just want to join us for drinks.
