Join Tommy Graham (History Ireland), Dan Mulhall, (former Irish Ambassador to the US), Bernadette Whelan (University of Limerick) and Dr. Michael Kennedy (Executive Editor of the Royal Irish Academy's Documents on Irish Foreign Policy Research Programme) in conversation about the post-war Irish American experience in the 1950's. This event is part of this year's One Dublin One Book initiative, which aims to encourage everyone in Dublin to read a designated book connected with the capital city during the month of April every year. Our free-of-charge meet-up upstairs in Ryan's Bar. This is a casual meet up for people who want to play boardgames. Lots of people bring plenty of games and rules will always be explained so don't worry if you're new to the hobby and you don't have anything to bring along or think you won't know how to play. Most places we meet other gay men are bars, apps, or busy social scenes. This is something a little different. Explore Saint Catherine's Park, Lucan. We will be meeting at Connolly Train Station at 11:30AM. (Beside the Pret A Manger). At 11:35AM, we will be walk to the (Intercity Commuter) Maynooth, which is scheduled for 11:47AM. This train goes through 9 train stations (Connolly, Drumcondra, Broombridge, Pelletstown, Ashtown, Navan Road Parkway, Castleknock, Coolmine and Consilla), everyone that is coming, is welcome to get on from any of those stations mentioned. We will arrive at Leixlip Train Station 12:19 (Estimated) When everyone is of the train we will be walking 34 minutes (2.5KM) to the Starting Point of the Walking Loop. The Loop at Saint Catherine's Park is 3.9KM (About 1 Hour and 30 Minutes). This is an old woodland in Ireland, it can be an exotic habitat, while we are walking through the woods we will see beaches, swamps and hills. This park contains one of very few remaining examples of this primative habitat. There are toilet at the beginning of the walking loop. We will be walking through Lucan Demense and Ruins of Saint Catherine's Church. Every event is 5 Euro's, you can pay by using Revolut or Cash, this goes towards my meet-up subsription fee and it takes a alot of time organising these events on meet-up and doing them.
