# Philosophical Psychology **Welcome to Philosophical Psychology!** This group is a space for curious minds who believe that understanding the human psyche requires more than data and diagnoses — it demands deep reflection and a willingness to sit with important questions. Join us on our Walks, where we philosophize about life and share our wisdom as we walk through parks and nature. The main goal is to get together and share our views on life and the world around us. We will examine one specific question during this walk. LLMs break that. But what if AI wasn't an external API on top, but a native execution primitive inside the VM itself? Driver is a Rust VM where AI is a first-class execution primitive. The stdlib is aware of whether it's being invoked by deterministic bytecode or by an LLM-generated action and behaves accordingly. El Rol en Viu consisteix a afegir-li una acció més teatral i dramàtica a aquests enfrontaments. Si t'interessa aprendre a combatre, emular les lluites de les teves pel·lícules favorites, lluitar amb espasa, subjectar un escut, dominar els secrets de l'equilibri de peus o fer fitnes d'un mode diferent; el Softcombat i el Rol en Viu són una activitat que has de provar. **És durant el matí de 11h a 13.30h quan major quantitat de participants es reuneixen. A la tarda, es queda (a vegades) un petit grup, però no es pot garantir la seva presència fins a les 18h, sobretot a l'hivern. Recomanem anar de demà.** *** **REGLES BÀSIQUES PER AL SOFTCOMBAT** **NORMATIVA I SEGURETAT** **la participació en un esdeveniment implica l'acceptació d'aquestes:** Per a garantir la seguretat dels participants, totes les armes alienes a seran testades prèviament, conservant-se el dret a admissió de l'arma o de l'usuari. Com tot esport de contacte, cal anar amb compte i apel·lar sempre al sentit comú i a la companyonia, en inscriure's en la nostra comunitat, el participant o tutors del participant accepten la total responsabilitat de qualsevol mal, lesió, pèrdua... que pugui succeir dins dels entrenaments. **La participació en un esdeveniment implica l'acceptació d'aquestes.** 1. No estan permesos cops **ni al cap ni en els genitals.** 2. **La/s ma/ns** que subjecten l'arma fins a la nina no són blanc vàlid. 3. **No es pot estocar,** només colpejar amb el lateral de l'arma. 4. **Abans de començar** qualsevol enfrontament, cal estendre les armes, procedir a una lleugera salutació mitjançant el xoc entre aquestes. 5. **Cuida del company** amb el qual entrenes. Vigila la seva esquena i advertir-li de forats, arbres, altres persones o altres irregularitats en el terreny. 6. **Abans d'emprar qualsevol propietat aliena**, demana permís al seu propietari. Si algú trenca l'equip d'una altra persona, el propietari pot reclamar una compensació econòmica pels materials. 7. Els **menors de 14 anys** hauran d'anar acompanyats d'un adult responsable. Els menors de 16 anys hauran de portar un document emès per un tutor responsable, eximint de responsabilitat als Organitzadors (o confirmar meetup conforme l'acceptació d'aquestes normes). 8. **L'Organització no es farà responsable** de cap mena de lesió, mal o ferida que pugui succeir durant els entrenaments. 9. Diverteix-te i gaudeix, és un gran esport. 10. **L'organització es reserva el dret a vetar** la participació als qui consideri, sense haver de donar explicacions. Sobretot davant persones que hagin demostrat de manera present o passada un comportament deshonest, vexatori o frau davant l'entitat, els seus membres o equip de direcció. 11. Extensions allow developers to customize the editor with new features, integrations, and workflow improvements tailored to their needs. In this session, we’ll cover what extensions are and the different types available, including full extensions written in TypeScript or JavaScript, along with lighter-weight extensions such as color themes, language packs, language support, code snippets, and keymaps. We’ll also look at practical reasons a developer might create an extension, from automating repetitive tasks to adding custom tooling. The session includes a hands-on walkthrough of creating a new extension, testing it locally, and understanding the basic project structure. Welcome to Drunken Philosophy, a casual, curious, social discussion club. Come grab a drink and a seat at The Oracle. **Optional topic for this meetup: Where is everybody?** In 1950 the physicist Enrico Fermi was talking about aliens over lunch and asked a question that still has not gone away: if the universe is so vast and so old, and even a fraction of those billions of stars have planets, where is everyone? By the numbers the galaxy should be crowded with civilizations. Instead we look up and hear silence. That gap between "they should be everywhere" and "we see no one" is the Fermi Paradox. One of the most unsettling answers is the idea of a **Great Filter**: somewhere on the road from dead chemistry to a galaxy-spanning civilization, there is at least one step that is almost impossible to get past. Maybe the filter is behind us. Maybe life starting at all, or simple cells becoming complex, or intelligence ever evolving, is the freak accident, and we already cleared the hard part. Or maybe the filter is ahead of us, and advanced civilizations reliably wipe themselves out before they spread. Here is the part that messes with people. If we ever found life somewhere else, even pond scum on Mars, most people would call it the greatest discovery in history. But it might be the worst possible news. It would mean life is common, the early steps are easy, and the hard step is still in front of us. So the eerie silence overhead might actually be the best sign we could ask for. **Questions to wrestle with:** * Is it better to be alone? Would you rather we find alien life and learn we are not special, or find nothing and quietly improve our odds of surviving? * Where do you bet the filter sits, behind us or ahead of us, and why? * If it is ahead of us, what is it? Nuclear war, climate collapse, AI, something we cannot even picture yet? And can we do anything about a filter we cannot see coming? * Two principles pull opposite ways here. The principle of mediocrity (the Copernican principle, Sagan's "no privileged place in the universe") says we are ordinary, so what happened on Earth probably happened everywhere, which makes the silence scream louder. The anthropic principle says of course we find ourselves somewhere life was possible, since we could not observe anything else, so our being here may say almost nothing about how common life is. Which lens do you trust, and does the silence still demand an answer once you account for observer selection? * And if we did confirm life out there and had to accept we are not special, what would that do to belief in a higher power, and would shedding (or keeping) that belief help or hurt our odds of pulling together as one species? * Does any of this change how you live, or how humanity should be spending its time and money right now? As always the prompt is optional. Come for the conversation, stay for the drinks, and bring your own questions.
