Friday Night Kirtan: Soulful Musical Meditation
Overview
Get ready to immerse yourself in a spiritual journey through music and meditation at the Friday Night Kirtan event!
Join us every Friday at **ISKCON Dublin** for an evening that’s more than just a concert—it’s a sanctuary. Located right in the heart of the city, at the top of the stairs on Abbey Street, our Friday Kirtan is a space for everyone to unplug, find inner peace, and experience ancient wisdom through sound.
#### **What is Kirtan?**
Kirtan is a traditional form of "call-and-response" musical meditation. One person sings a simple, ancient Sanskrit mantra, and the group sings it back. It’s effortless, deeply relaxing, and you don’t need to be a "singer" to participate. The music builds from a gentle, meditative whisper to a joyful, rhythmic celebration that naturally clears the mind.
#### **Why Join Us?**
* **De-stress:** Let the vibrations of the harmonium and drums wash away the week's tension.
* **Community:** Meet like-minded people in a warm, non-judgmental environment.
* **The Sanctuary:** Discover a quiet, hidden space in the city centre dedicated to peace and self-discovery.
#### **The Evening Flow**

* **7:00 PM – 8:30 PM:** The Main Kirtan Experience

French Speaking Practice – Real Conversation & Confidence Building
Do you understand French but struggle to speak naturally when it’s time to respond?
Join a relaxed French conversation group (online) where we use real French conversations as a way to practise speaking French in a natural and structured way.
This is not a traditional lesson. It’s a guided conversation space where you practise speaking through real-life content.
## 📰 This session’s topic : **Docteur Love** 💘
In this session, we will work with a short audio extract from a French radio show, where a love coach gives relationship advice live on air.
What makes this extract especially interesting is that the coach speaks very naturally — with hesitations, pauses, filler words like *euuuh* and *bah*, just like in real spoken French.
You’ll get exposed to authentic French as it is actually spoken by native speakers, not polished scripted French.
## 🎥 BEFORE THE SESSION
Before the meetup, you will watch a short 1-minute French video clip.
This video will give you key vocabulary and context, so you feel more comfortable speaking during the session.
You will also receive a few simple comprehension questions to help you prepare your ideas.
## 💬 DURING THE MEETUP (ONLINE)
We will use this content as a starting point for discussion and speaking practice.
You will be guided through conversation activities to help you :
You will be guided through conversation activities to help you :
* Define and describe concepts in French (for example what is love? what makes a healthy relationship?).
* Give advice and recommendations naturally.
* Express your opinions about relationships and emotions.
* Justify your ideas and explain your reasoning.
You don’t need perfect French — the goal is to speak and build confidence.
## 🗣️ ACTIVITY FORMAT
The session will include :
group discussion based on the video
guided speaking questions
interactive conversation practice
a final speaking activity / role-play based on the scenario
## 🎯 WHAT YOU WILL IMPROVE
By the end of the session, you will have practised how to:
speak more spontaneously in French
understand and react to real French content
build confidence when expressing ideas
move from “I understand” to “I can respond”
## 🌿 ATMOSPHERE
This is a supportive, low-pressure environment. Mistakes are welcome and part of the learning process. The goal is communication, not perfection.
## 👥 LEVEL
Intermediate French learners (you should already understand basic French and be able to form simple sentences).
## ⭐ FREE EVENT – FEEDBACK APPRECIATED
This is a free session, and your feedback is very important for me as I build these conversation groups.
At the end of the meetup, I’ll kindly ask participants to leave a short review about their experience — it really helps others decide whether to join future sessions.
## 📩 Feel free to join or message me if you have any questions
Day of Arts - Making your own sistrum (30 minutes, mini-workshop)
The sistrum is an ancient, ceremonial instrument used in Egypt and even before that.
Plutarch said. “The sistrum makes it clear that all things in existence need to be shaken, or rattled about, and never to cease from motion but, as it were, to be woken up and agitated when they grow drowsy and torpid.”
Join in to make this mysterious instrument and take it home with you.
*This is an ongoing workshop, from 3pm to 5pm. Creating your sistrum takes around 30mins.*
BullIsland Beach Volleyball :)
Hi all, lets meet at 12h to play Beach Volleyball in BullIsland, near the car park on the "Statue of Our Lady, Star Of The Sea" side of BullIsland. From Clontarf Rd cross over "The Wooden Bridge" and keep going on until the end, turn left when you see the beach car park and keep going to the left. We will set the nets beside the car park 😉 Please avoid to park at the beach because the car can get stuck on the sand. If you come by car park as soon as you find space and then walk.
The idea is to have lunch at the beach and play beach volleyball. Please bring water, sun glasses (for the sand more than the sun) and sun cream (even when it's cloudy you can still get burned with the wind).
I would love to create another lovely healthy group to have fun with and enjoy the weather whenever it's possible. All levels are welcome because the goal is to have fun and do some exercise.
Any questions please contact me over the phone: 0876819433, or put a comment on this Meetup. Please bear in mind that on the same day of the event it'll be driving so give me a phone call if you are lost.

Day of Arts - workshops & artistic presentations
Art has long been a means to express and perceive universal values of beauty and harmony by finding an expression to unite opposites, like light and darkness, sounds and silences or movement and stillness. And the artist, like the philosopher, finds a way to make the invisible visible or perceivable, whether in paintings, sculptures, music, dance, poetry and so much more.
Join us for an afternoon in the search for Wisdom through Philosophy & Art.
**2pm Introduction ‘The Muses’ (Free)**
Introduction to the day, with a short talk on the ‘The Muses’, inspiring poetry and dramatic readings.
**Ongoing workshop – “Making a shared mosaic” (Free)**
From all the individual pieces of tiles there emerges a beautiful unity, each piece is different and contributes to the collective. This is one of the key principles in Mosaic art. Learn more about this and the fundamentals of creating mosaics and how to create simple designs using colourful tiles.

Speak Easy (Storytelling)
The topic for July is "Shoes"
Speak Easy: true stories, told live.
The idea is simple: an audience, an open microphone, and great stories. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast.
Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human. And in a world of smartphones, Facebook, Twitter, and more . . . it gives people a real, breathing, in-person way to connect.
The night is geared for true stories of all kinds, taking the best tales told around kitchen tables, in darkened pubs, on the street corner, and at late-night parties and giving them an audience. Speak Easy is also a great outlet for performers, writers, and artists looking to share their favorite stories and perfect their skills. We strongly encourage tellers to please tell the story rather than read it so we keep within the spirit of good storytelling and stay engaged with the audience. All are welcome. Hang around after the show for a drink and build community!
Men of Unity and Community
**Men of Unity** is a safe, welcoming space for men to connect, share, and grow together. In this circle, we explore what it means to live with purpose, integrity, and spiritual awareness in today’s world.
Through open dialogue, reflection, and mutual support, we learn to balance strength with compassion, confidence with humility, and action with mindfulness. Whether you’re seeking deeper spiritual connection, personal clarity, or simply a supportive brotherhood, this group invites you to bring your authentic self and grow in community.
This week the Men's of Group will meet at Scrambler's - the North Hamilton Road location:
5729 North Hamilton Road
Columbus, 43230
Christ The Healer, Columbus, Ohio
From the moment sin entered the world, death began. Adam and Eve were not stricken dead immediately, but the process by which none of us lives forever in health and wholeness in these earthly bodies started its inexorable march to the inevitable end—death. The Bible makes it clear that by one man’s sin, death came to all mankind, but that by the obedience of One Perfect Man, Jesus, many are made righteous (Romans 5:19).
F.F. Bosworth recognized this truth; he also would have people consider that the God Who provided for our greatest need—salvation from eternal death—would also provide healing for the lesser, but still great needs, of health and healing from sickness, disease, and the consequences of sin that we encounter before we die.
Join us as we examine the case for biblical healing in the book first published in 1924, ***Christ The Healer*. We meet at True Food Kitchen, Easton Town Center on Tuesday, July 7, 2026 at 6:30 pm.**

Synchronicity: Signs, Coincidences & Divine Guidance
**Synchronicity: Coincidence or Divine Guidance?**
Have you ever experienced a “coincidence” that felt too perfect to ignore? A chance encounter, repeated sign, or unexpected moment that seemed to arrive right on time? Join us at Unity of Columbus as Michelle Harcha explores the mystery of synchronicity and how these meaningful moments may be guiding us toward greater wisdom, purpose, and connection.
After Sunday’s message, stay for an interactive workshop where Michelle will share practical tools inspired by Byron Katie and Marilee Adams to help us recognize and align with Divine guidance.
Raising Conscious Kids – A Unity Family Experience
At Unity of Columbus, our Youth and Family Ministry nurtures the spiritual growth of children and families through love, joy, and practical spiritual teachings. Each Sunday, children explore timeless spiritual principles through stories, creative activities, music, and group sharing in a safe and welcoming environment.
Our program encourages children to discover their own inner light, express kindness, and develop a personal connection with God. Together, we celebrate diversity, cultivate understanding, and inspire each child to live with purpose and compassion. Parents and families are invited to join in this uplifting journey of learning, laughter, and spiritual connection.
