Hello challengers, For those of you that survived the winters of Berlin, I'm getting geared up for our next meetup! In this workshop, we’ll go beyond simply taking photos, we’ll train your eye to see color with intention and use it as a powerful storytelling tool. Instead of focusing on subjects alone, this challenge invites you to explore Berlin through a single lens: **color**. You’ll be split into small groups and assigned a specific color. Your mission is to hunt for it, frame it, and bring it to life through a series of images. By the end, each group will become the storyteller of their color across the city. Along the way, you’ll learn how to use color not just as an aesthetic, but as a way to guide attention, create emotion, and build stronger compositions. Learn to see, compose, and tell stories through color using contrast, simplicity, and creative interpretation. 🧠 **How the Challenge Works** * You’ll be split into groups of **2–3 people** * Each group is assigned **one color** * You’ll have **\~60 minutes** to explore and shoot * Your goal: capture a small series of images that represent your color in Berlin **A Social Experience** As much as this is a photography group, it’s about connection and community. Within your group, you’ll collaborate, explore, and share perspectives. **Join us for outdoor grass volleyball in Hasenheide park!** This event is not suitable for complete beginners. We play with two nets. The "chill court" is for mixed-level play with 3v3 up to 5v5. The "competitive court" is for higher-level 2v2 play with beach rules. Be sure to wear suitable sports clothing and perhaps bring a drink. There are no facilities such as changing rooms and showers in the park. A nearby public toilet is also available, but it might be closed, dirty, or not have toilet paper. **Location**: We play in the narrow clearing, located between the two paths in the center of Hasenheide park, on the southern side. Ditch the old book club, where everyone has to read the same book...this is better! It works like this: Bring your own book. Come chat, have some tea or coffee, get to know your neighbors. Then we quietly read together, side by side, for about one hour, each one reading their own book, and afterwards we talk with each other about what we are reading. **The Data-Driven Brand: Using Analytics to Shape Perception** Can you use analytics to improve tacos? This being CBUSDAW, we think the answer is probably “yes”, but we’re not sure how to implement or test this theory. For our April meetup we’ve got Sara Kear, CMO of Condado Tacos, to investigate this delicious question. Sara will explore how she blends quantitative data and qualitative customer feedback to shape brand positioning and drive business decisions. We all know that marketing and analytics go way beyond attribution. Sara will show how Condado uses customer insights to inform product and pricing strategy. She’ll also highlight how Condado leverages customer feedback at scale to influence operational priorities, positioning marketing as the voice of the customer across the organization. In the last 12 years Condado has gone from one location in Columbus to 52 locations across 10 states, so we’re guessing there’s more to that growth than really good guac (though the guac probably helps).
