Hi everyone! If you like to play modern board, card and dice games, and to meet new people, then join us for these online game sessions for as long as you like The host will bring the games (though is open to playing your own if you have them) and will teach you how to play them if you don't know already. All you need is an online computer or tablet with a modern web browser, front-facing camera and microphone. You work late? No worries - you can come along any time. Please write in the comments what time you expect to be available from, so we can try to avoid anyone having to wait alone for long. We are a relaxed and friendly group, made up of both natives and foreigners, of locals and those living further afield, happy to welcome newbies and regulars. Events are free to attend, but if you would like to contribute towards the costs of running of this group, feel free to buy the host(s) a drink of their choice, for which they'd be very grateful. This saves money that can be put towards the Meetup subscription fees and buying the games that we all play. Hi everyone! Booking is now open for our next badminton session, 11am-1pm on Sunday at Ark All Saints Camberwell 140 Wyndham Road SE5 0UB. The cost is only £12 per person plus £1.62 Meetup booking fee, paid in advance before the start of the session. Bring your racket or lease one for the session for a nominal £2.00, shuttlecocks is provided. The lease rackets are available at the venue, so just make your way down. Please note we don't have enough for everybody just a few. If you damage your racket during the session you get one to use for free. So if you wish to play and don’t yet have a racket make your way down, try and have a couple of nuggets (£2.00) handy because the racket lease fee is not included with the session booking fee. Payment is by PayPal, Debit card, Credit card, Bank transfer, and Cash. Contact the host if you encounter any problem with making payment or wish to pay by other method (Payment by Bank transfer & Cash is £12.00) Direction: The badminton hall is situated at the rear of the school, read on for direction on how to locate the hall. The main entrance to the school is located on Wyndham road, on Wyndham road look for Toulon Street it is on the same side as the school. If you stand facing the school Toulon Street should be to your right. Toulon street lead on to Pitman Street which is where the entrance is located. Use the pedestrian gate to let yourself in, if it is locked use the intercom and somebody should let you in. **You will find us in the games area in the lower section of the pub.** Please ensure you read these: [Rules](https://www.londononboard.com/rules-regulations) We don't allow Chess, Scrabble, Monopoly, Roleplaying games, Magic the Gathering, Mafia, Werewolf etc. at LoB as there are other venues or groups for that and we want to make sure that there is enough space for board games. We want everyone that comes to our events to have a good time, and we know that some games require more communication than others. Please be mindful that we are in a small space and that other members will need to explain rules and focus. As a small group of volunteers, we are very dependent on the good will of our venues to host us for free. It is vitally important that everyone attending LoB buys food and drink to ensure that we can build and maintain those relationships with our venues. If you have any feedback about the venue, please report it to us directly rather than speaking to the staff. You must only attend if you have a place, i.e. that you have made it off the waitlist. The Sobell Badminton club Sundays start from 1.30pm, finishing at 3.30pm. ## Welcome to Relaxed Mafia Note we are playing outdoors in Hyde Park rather than our usual venue. Come and play Mafia, an exciting social deduction game, in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere. Players of all levels of experience are welcome, including complete beginners. There is a recommended donation of between £5 and £10 to help us to cover our Meetup fees. If you can't afford this though, then don't let this stop you coming! If you have any questions, don't hesitate to ask.

WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO TO TAKE PART? You just need to RSVP using the button on this page, and show up on Sunday. That is true for both DMs and players. You must be 18+ to attend. Nope! You do not have to have previous experience of D&D or another tabletop role-playing game. We will have newbie-friendly games on Sunday. WHAT DO I HAVE TO BRING? Nothing. If you have dice, paper and pencil, and a Player’s Handbook, then bring them, but it’s not a problem if you don’t. We can lend you everything you need including a pre-generated character. I'M NOT FROM THE UK, THAT ISN'T A PROBLEM, RIGHT? Actually, we have loads of members from other countries; at times, we’ve had more ex-pats than Brits. We get a lot of people joining who’ve just moved to London from another country, left their old D&D friends behind, and who are looking for a new gaming group, so you don’t need to worry about not fitting in. The one catch is that your English does need to be OK. You don't have to be perfectly fluent, but roleplaying’s a language-based activity and if your listening isn't decent you may have trouble following what’s going on. Lots of our members speak more than one language, but we can't guarantee that we can place you in a game with someone who can interpret for you.
