Come and play tabletop games of all types, roleplaying, wargames, board game or card games. Many attendees just come to hang out, rummage through the bits box or paint models with new and old friends. We're part of the Safe Space Alliance and offer a welcoming space to all genders, LGBTQ+ and people of colour. The prices are £15 (2–3 people per table) using club terrain £20 (4+ people) using club terrain £3 per person for board games, RPGs, or using your own terrain £3 suggested donation for paint and chat Payable in cash on the night. **Note: The cost is increasing for 2025 to cover increased court and shuttle costs** Central Badminton Club is a long-established, sociable group who enjoy badminton at an intermediate level. A reasonable standard of play is expected: guests should be regular players with a few years’ experience – no beginners, please. Join us for two hours of friendly, competitive badminton with like-minded enthusiasts. We use four courts, but even so we need to limit numbers so that everybody gets a fair number of games. We play from 8 to 10pm, with optional drinks and socialising in the pub afterwards. The cost of £12 per two-hour session includes feather shuttles. Join OverBoard to play the brilliant social deduction game Blood on the Clocktower in person at the incredible board game cafe Otter Chaos in Brixton. This session will be geared towards players that have more experience with the game (to give the opportunity to play more advanced scripts) but we will always find ways to accommodate you if you are new to the game. Please note that a gaming cover charge of \~£5 will be payable by each attendee to the venue so that we can make use of the space. Feel free to RSVP and join us for an evening of board gaming fun. Arrive from **6:30pm** for a relaxed chat and a chance to get to know everyone. If you’re new, please introduce yourself to one of the hosts — they’ll be happy to welcome you and help you settle in. At **7:00pm**, we’ll begin with our first game, selecting games for the night. Anyone who has brought games with them is invited to offer them up with a brief overview and an indication of the difficulty level. You’re free to join any game that interests you, and we’ll make sure everyone has something to play. If a game is new to you, it will always be taught beforehand, with a quick refresher for returning players if needed. We play a wide range of games, typically lasting between **1 and 3 hours**. Multiple games run at the same time, and there’s usually at least one beginner-friendly option as well as a more advanced game available each evening. The night usually runs until closing time (around **11:00pm**), and depending on the games you choose, you may even fit in more than one game.
