Hi, my name is Nigel.
I graduated from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics and began my career designing rocket components for China’s aerospace program. So unlike the so-called “rocket scientists” on Wall Street, I am the real deal.
For the past 20 years, I have helped foreign businesses achieve a smooth landing in China, navigating everything from market strategy and regulatory compliance to local partnerships and execution. I speak the languages of engineering, mathematics, and cross-border business.
Let us have a cup of tea at a peaceful Buddhist temple and talk business. We can brainstorm practical, real-world approaches to doing business in China.
My associate and I also host business networking events and organize trips around China for professionals and entrepreneurs.

Shangtianzhu Temple is also known as Faxi Temple. It is located at No. 239, Tianzhu Road, Xihu District, Hangzhou. It has a history of over one thousand years and is one of the origins of the Chinese white-dressed Guanyin. Inside the temple, there are ancient buildings such as the Tibetan Buddhist Temple, the Liangfeng Hall, the Thousand Buddhas’ Pavilion, and the Huanghua Pavilion. There are also the Baiyunfeng, Ruituofeng and Ruituoquan scenic attractions nearby. It is a great place to visit and worship the Buddha.
If you come to Hangzhou as a pious supplicant, you don't necessarily have tovist Lingyin Temple-there are so many people there, how could the Buddha respond to all their prayers? The three temples of Tianzhu:Faxi,Fajing and Fa-jing are just next to Lingyin Temple, and are much quieter, purer places compared to the crowded clamour of Lingyin Temple. The Buddha can do his best to answer your prayers there,as you are the only one before him.

Inquiring About Tea at Dragon Well.
**Longjing (Dragon Well) green tea**
Located just south of Hangzhou province's beautiful West Lake, Longjing is home to China's most celebrated green tea, the color of jade, and has the fresh aroma of chestnuts and cut grass.
The best time to visit the area is during China's Qing Ming Festival (usually April), when most picking and roasting take place.
Longjing's tea villages and plantations are connected by a cycle pathway and a bus route. Longjing is home to the China National Tea Museum
Among the temples, pagodas, and gardens lining the shores of nearby West Lake sit many small tea houses where Longjing tea can be enjoyed in a relaxed atmosphere.
Longjing village's tea plantations. At over 1200 years old Longjing offers history and culture in abundance.

China National Tea Museum
This charming themed museum dedicated to tea culture is also located in Long Jing Tea Village in the southwest of West Lake. The museum has variety of exhibition halls, each with a different tea-focused theme, such as tea history, extract, affairs, culture and tools. It is an amazing place where you can learn almost everything about tea and see treasured teas with thousand years of history. One more reason for visiting this museum is that it has a tea ceremony area where you can enjoy fresh tea in a calm and quiet atmosphere.

This scenie spot is situated among the wooded hills southwest of West Lake. formerly known as Nine Creeks and Eighteen Gullies.Or it is simply called Nine Creeks. As it remains as natural as ever, with serene rustic charms.
九溪烟树并非以名胜古迹见长,而是以意境深幽的自然景观取胜。每年的4月-10月是丰水期,也是游九溪最好的季节,否则可能看不到瀑布,溪流也较小。

Suzhou Creek and North Bund Walking Tour
Suzhou Creek and North Bund Walking Tour
Come with me for a stroll along my favorite part of Suzhou Creek and North Bund, passing numerous historical sites and culture landmarks while enjoying some natural peace and quiet at the same time. The entire route is about 5 kilometers long and aims to lead participants in reading architecture, appreciating culture, and engaging with history and meet and greet new friends on the tour..
Suzhou Creek, the biggest tributary of the Huangpu, runs through central areas of the city and stretches from the Outer Ring to the Bund.
Suzhou creek waterfront has been revitalized in recent years to provide uninterrupted walking paths, new gardens and ample resting areas.
The riverbanks in Huangpu District, about 3 kilometers from Chengdu Road Bridge to Waibaidu Bridge near the Bund, has become a pedestrian-favored corridor
Let us enjoy the enchanting scenery of the Suzhou Creek not only on foot,
Waibaidu Bridge (Garden bridge)
This is China’s first all-steel bridge and, in Shanghai style, lights up in different colors in the evening. This steel bridge from 1907 is one of a few unequal height truss bridge in China. It played a part in numerous books and movies With its rich history and unique design, it is a symbol of ShanghaiSimply enjoy the walk on the wooden deck of this old bridge
Suzhou Creek holds a special place in the hearts of Shanghai residents. The region's silks and ceramics were carried along the Maritime Silk Road in the Tang Dynasty (AD 618-907), and centuries later the area became an early industrial hub of the city.
Since Shanghai was forced to open its port in 1843, the creek has been the backdrop for dramatic landmarks in the city's history. It was the scene of wartime suffering and the birthplace of China's earliest national industries.
North Bund offers innovation, history, stunning skyline views
Shanghai’s riverside areas have already been transformed with greenery and walking paths, shikumen residences are being renovated, and the historic North Bund is becoming the city’s “most beautiful parlor.” Let's have a walk along North Bund, a gem with stunning views of the Lujiazui skyline, plenty of thrilling adventures to get up to, and countless photo-worthy moments waiting for you to capture.

**Joint Meetup: Azure CBUS × Columbus HashiCorp User Group × DevOps Columbus**
What if learning Terraform and Infrastructure-as-Code didn’t feel like a whitepaper… but more like a game?
Join us for a joint Azure CBUS, Columbus HashiCorp User Group, and DevOps Columbus meetup where **Mark Tinderholt** \(Principal Architect\, Microsoft Azure \| HashiCorp Ambassador \| “The Azure Terraformer”\) shows how **Minecraft** can be used as a surprisingly powerful way to understand real-world Infrastructure-as-Code concepts.
In this session, Mark will demonstrate how Terraform and Azure can be used to provision, configure, and manage Minecraft servers—while teaching the same patterns you’d use for production cloud infrastructure.
### What we’ll cover
* Infrastructure-as-Code fundamentals using **Terraform**
* Provisioning real infrastructure on **Azure**
* Applying **IaC best practices** (immutability, repeatability, versioning)
* How playful environments like Minecraft make complex concepts *click*
* Why learning through experimentation beats click-ops every time
### Who should attend
* Developers, platform engineers, and cloud engineers
* Terraform users (new or experienced)
* Anyone curious about Infrastructure-as-Code but tired of boring examples
* Minecraft fans who want to see it used in a totally unexpected way
No prior Minecraft experience required—just curiosity and a willingness to learn infrastructure the fun way.
Come for the blocks, stay for the Terraform. 🧱➡️📐
