UX Vienna Evening Meetup
UX Vienna Evening Meetups are on the 2nd tuesday of every month — 12 times a year. This time we meet at [BarnVentures](https://barn-ventures.com/) with one talk (and more time for socialising!)
**Talk:**
**Lovable Product Discovery Machine: How to effectively kickstart Product Discovery**
The Lovable Prompting Machine built with Lovable and Claude transforms product thinking into ready-to-use prototypes—instantly.
The core idea: People can think and act like a designer or product creator - the AI handles the prompting quality. Kickstarting the discovery phase for a new product can be done instantly. Perfect for: Product creators and designers who want to validate ideas quickly without the setup overhead.

🦞OpenClaw & Codex - Lightning Talks Night
**[UPDATE Feb 26]**
We have some **incredibly good news** 🎉🥳 for you, but before we get to that (**read to the end!**), we must reiterate our call for lightning talks:
📢 **Call for Lightning Talks — We Want YOU on Stage!**
**We need 6–7 more speakers** (we already have 3 confirmed) who want to share something cool they've built with OpenClaw or Codex in a **maximum of 7 minutes**.
**What we're looking for:**
* OpenClaw agents and automations you've built
* Creative Codex workflows and coding setups
* Combinations of OpenClaw + Codex (or other AI tools)
* Lessons learned, fails, surprises — the real stuff
* Anything that makes the audience go "wait, you can do THAT?"
You don't need perfect slides or a rehearsed talk. Just show up with a demo, a workflow, a lesson learned or even a spectacular failure. 7 minutes, that's it.
**How to submit:** Write us an email at **[viennaaiengineering+speakers@gmail.com](viennaaiengineering+speakers@gmail.com)**. A few sentences about what you would present is enough. First come, first served.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
🎉 Now to the great news:
📍 **We have a much bigger venue: Magenta HQ**
Demand for this meetup has blown past what we imagined and what our Greentube venue could handle, so our friends at **Magenta** jumped in to help — their venue gives us room for a much bigger audience. A huge thanks to Magenta and especially to Georg for getting this approved so quickly!
Find the exact address in the location section. The rest remains unchanged: **same date, same time, same schedule**.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
🥳 And now for the amazing news that probably everybody has been hoping for:
🦞 **The Clawfather is joining us!**
The Clawfather himself, **Peter Steinberger**, will greet the Vienna OpenClaw community from SF via **live stream**.
So see you at **Magenta**, and for Pete's sake, submit your lightning talk to **[viennaaiengineering+speakers@gmail.com](viennaaiengineering+speakers@gmail.com)** !
**[END UPDATE]**
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
Hello everyone!
We're beyond excited to announce the 🦞**OpenClaw & Codex Edition** of our **Vienna AI Engineering Meetup** on Tuesday, March 10th! Once again, we'll be hosted by **Magenta Telekom** at their HQ on Rennweg 97-99.
**This one is going to be different.**
If you've been following what's happening in the OpenClaw community, you know the energy is through the roof. The recent OpenClaw Vienna Meetup organized by **Peter Steinberger** was an absolute blast, and we knew immediately: we need to bring this energy to our next meetup.
So here's the plan: **we're doing lightning talks.** Short, punchy, **7-minute** demos and mini talks - no death by PowerPoint, just builders showing what they've built. The topics: **OpenClaw** and **coding with OpenAI Codex**. Whether you've wired up an OpenClaw agent to automate your entire deployment pipeline, built something weird and wonderful with Codex, or found a creative way to combine the two — we want to hear about it.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
📢 **Call for Lightning Talks — We Want YOU on Stage!**
This is the heart of the event. We're looking for **8–10 speakers** who want to share something cool they've built with OpenClaw or Codex in a **maximum of 7 minutes**.
**What we're looking for:**
\- OpenClaw agents and automations you've built
\- Creative Codex workflows and coding setups
\- Combinations of OpenClaw \+ Codex \(or other AI tools\)
\- Lessons learned\, fails\, surprises — the real stuff
\- Anything that makes the audience go "wait\, you can do THAT?"
To keep it simple and engaging, you don't need to prepare a big polished slide deck. Just make 2-3 slides explaining the main ideas and show us what you've built or learned, ideally with a demo. Our main goal is to have fun and inspire eachother.
**How to submit:** Drop us a message on [meetup.com](meetup.com) or write us an email at **[viennaaiengineering+speakers@gmail.com](viennaaiengineering+speakers@gmail.com)**. A few sentences about what you would present and why you think the audience absolutely needs to hear it are enough. First come, first served.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
🎉 **Welcome Alex Gavrilescu as Co-Organizer!**
Furthermore we're thrilled to announce that **Alex Gavrilescu** is joining the organization of the Vienna AI Engineering Meetups! Many of you already know Alex. He's been a speaker at our meetup several times, most recently with his talks on the Cambrian Explosion of Agentic AI and his Backlog.md deep dives.
Alex is an OpenAI **Codex Ambassador** and the creator of **Backlog.md**. He's bringing fresh ideas and new initiatives to the meetup, and as Codex Ambassador he will be your direct point of contact with the OpenAI Codex team — meaning he can forward your feedback and questions straight to the source. If you have thoughts on Codex, this is your channel.
Welcome aboard, Alex!
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-
**Schedule**
18:00 - Get together with food and beverages
18:30 - Welcome & intro
18:40 - Lightning talks begin (7 min each, back to back)
20:30 - More drinks & networking.
Looking forward to seeing you at the **Magenta Telekom**!

* something you “could never pull off”… until today
No pressure — but if you join in, be ready to share the story behind it.
**Self-expression + execution = momentum.**
**Location**
* Our weekly co-working sessions take place at creative, cozy hotel lobby **Jaz in the City in central Vienna**.
* Regular participants may also be privately invited to occasional **Skyscraper Secret Sessions** — spontaneous small-group co-working gatherings at a private skyline location with **free tea & coffee**, plus **gym and shower access**.

🌱 **What to Expect**
* **Drop in anytime** between **1:00–5:00 PM** — stay for a bit or settle in for the whole session
* **Clarify your goals**: write down your measurable tasks for the day on a Post-it when you arrive
* **Two spaces**: one for quiet focus, one for casual conversation. After each focus session, if you’re still in the flow, feel free to remain seated — no need to move. If you're up for a chat, join others in the social area for a relaxed break.
* **Social start**: from **1:00 to 1:28 PM**, we mingle and get to know each other; our first focus session begins at **1:30 PM**
* **Gentle structure**: we begin with a soft check-in and intention round
* **Pomodoro-style rhythm**: We work in 45-minute focus blocks followed by 15-minute social breaks. If 45 minutes feels too long, feel free to break it into two 20-minute focus sessions with a short 5-minute reset in between. You’ll need to self-regulate these shorter cycles, just tune into your own flow and rejoin when ready.
* **Quiet companionship**: no pressure to talk during focus time — just shared presence and support
* **Welcoming space**: we meet in the creative, cozy lobby of the **Jaz in the City**
💡 **New to Pomodoro?** Don’t worry — we’ll guide you gently. No apps or timers needed.
**Who This Is For**
You’ll enjoy this if you:
* want real accountability (not just a desk)
* have a project, goal, or task you’ve been procrastinating on
* like focused work blocks with a supportive vibe
* are building something (job search, freelancing, creative work, admin, studying, side project, etc.)
💬 Why Join?
* Beat procrastination with gentle accountability
* Reclaim your momentum without doing it alone
* Enjoy a change of scenery that boosts your focus
**Group Size:**
This is designed as a **small execution lab** (limited spots) to keep the energy focused and the accountability real.
Bring your project. Bring your presence. Let’s work side-by-side. 💚
TUESDAY 👋⚽ FOOTBALL FRIENDLY 20:30-22:00 (Donaucity) w/ SORIN +Video Highlights
Things to know before playing:
Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls;
We play Tuesday Night Football (outdoor only) . We play 90 minutes (kick off is at 20:30, and we meet at least 15 minutes before for a warm up phase). Post-Corona football matches are most likely between 14-16 and 28-32 players. If you would like to join please bring artificial turf shoes (like the ones for indoor turf) and shin pads (not mandatory but definitely recommendable). All I ask is that you come with a good mood, be respectful to everyone, and pay online using the link below.

**\* [Wise](https://wise.com/pay/me/sorinb256)** \- Also recommended\!
**\*[Paypal](https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/sorinSocial/)** \- Please use non\-Commercial product
We play light: no sliding, hard tackling, fighting, screaming, & hopefully no injuries. We need to respect current regulations in Vienna, Austria.
The main priorities are to have fun and being safe. The drinks are relatively free after the game in the local pub, served to those who have shown fantastic football fair-play skills. We will confirm the location, the pitches, and the dressing room numbers via our dedicated Football WhatsApp group/s. Keep an eye out for the group messages. See you all soon.
Sorin SMS/ WhatsApp +43 6764276984 (please ask to be added to our football groups). We will probably need to confirm your presence if you are coming for the first or second time.
Important management rule:
**\> "No shows" are penalized with 10€ fee\. Please remove your name from the list at least SIX\!\!\! \(6\) HOURS before the event\.** Book a place via FootballExperiences.NET using this link [FOOTxp](https://footballexperiences.net/kickaball/)
One small final note:
Please avoid trying to take justice in your hands. If someone is talking bad, complaining, insulting someone, fouling on purpose or committing the usual football shenanigans, please let the organizers know. Measures will be taken, we assure you. Any misbehavior on your part, such as responding in an obscene way, fighting, or leaving the pitch is not a practical and diplomatic way of resolving the issues (it tends to create more tension and cause more problems). Let’s be respectful and mature and try to enjoy the game we all love.
That’s why we’re all here. Get to know people from all over the world and have fun!
Thank you.
Sorin

Manav Singh
**Homelabbing@karriere.at - Enabling Devs to Break the Cloud**
\-\-\-\-
Andi Grabner
**Stranger Platform Engineering: The Two Sides of Observability in Your IDP**
Your Internal Developer Platform lives in two worlds. In the **Right Side Up**, developers rely on self‑service observability to build, deploy, operate and debug their apps. In the **Upside Down**, the platform itself must be observable to ensure its reliability, performance, and to understand usage patterns and adoption.
**The twist?** these two worlds are not separate. Improving observability *of* the platform directly improves the observability *for* the applications built on top of it. Just like in *Stranger Things*, observability becomes the force that connects both realities—creating feedback loops, strengthening the platform’s foundations, and enabling teams to spot issues before they cross between worlds.
This talk reveals why mastering both sides of observability is essential for any modern IDP. Expect real-world examples, a few supernatural analogies, and practical guidance you can bring back to your platform team—no Demogorgon hunting required

WP Meetup Vienna (March) – Marketing, AI & The Future of Social
Join us for an evening about visibility, marketing, and rebuilding digital communities in a post-AI world.
This Meetup explores how we build presence and trust online today. From marketing WordPress products in an era of AI-generated noise to rethinking what healthy social media could look like, we’ll examine how developers, founders, and digital professionals can stand out, without losing authenticity.
Instead of growth hacks and algorithm chasing, expect strong opinions, practical experience, and plenty of room for discussion.
🕡 18:30 live, SAE Vienna, Kaisersaal
⏱️ 18:45 – Rodolfo Melogli
**“Marketing for Developers After AI + Live WooCommerce Q&A”**
Marketing for developers has changed fast. With AI making content cheap and abundant, volume is no longer an advantage, it’s noise.
In this talk, Rodolfo Melogli explains why personality, taste, and a clear point of view are now the real differentiators, especially for developers building WordPress products, plugins, or services.
You’ll learn how to build a recognizable presence in public without chasing algorithms or trying to become an influencer. Instead, we’ll explore practical ways to turn everyday developer work, shipping features, solving support tickets, sharing opinions into marketing that actually works.
The session concludes with a live WooCommerce Q&A, applying these ideas to real-world product and growth challenges developers face today.
Rodolfo is an author, WooCommerce expert, and founder of [Business Bloomer](https://www.businessbloomer.com), [Checkout Summit](https://checkoutsummit.com), and WCWKLY. He has worked as an independent WooCommerce freelancer since 2011, helping entrepreneurs and developers overcome their WooCommerce challenges. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, playing tennis and soccer, and of course, wood-fired oven pizza.
⏱️ 19:45 – Michael Eisenriegler
**black•box 2026: Social Media as It Should Be**
Founded in 1992, Black•Box was Austria’s first online community and anticipated many features that define today’s social media platforms. But back then, there were no manipulative algorithms, no bots, and far fewer trolls and fake accounts.
In this talk, Michael Eisenriegler shares how the original spirit of Black•Box can be revived using modern technology. The goal: to create digital spaces where people feel comfortable, connect meaningfully, and can truly relax online again.
We bring the “Social” back into Social Media.
Michael Eisenriegler (born 1964) studied Communication Science and Political Science and has been working with digital networks as human communication spaces since 1990. He is co-founder and managing director of [MediaClan GmbH](https://www.mediaclan.at) and GenSoup GmbH. His focus areas include integrated communication strategies, social media consulting, and online genealogy. He also teaches Online Journalism at the University of Vienna.
Whether you’re building WordPress products, running an agency, experimenting with AI-driven marketing, or rethinking what digital communities should look like in 2026, this Meetup will give you practical insights, fresh perspectives, and great conversations with fellow web professionals.
See you in Vienna! 🍻

"It's all javascript".
Well you know it, typescript transpiles to javascript. Your templates? Also javascript.
Compilation and typechecking, you guessed it. Also javascript.
All the tooling was javascript until ... well when? Thats the question. 😇

Agentic UI with Angular: Implementing AI-powered Assistants
More and more frontends integrate Agentic UI and AI assistants that answer questions, display dynamic components, pre-fill forms, and guide users through processes. In this session, I demonstrate how to bring these capabilities into both existing and new Angular applications. We explain how to provide the necessary context via state management, forms, and routing, and show how the assistant uses tool-calling to access Angular services and generate dynamic UIs. After this session, you will know the technical steps required to extend your Angular solutions with a powerful AI assistant.

The Secret Life of Events in Angular
You've written (click) hundreds of times. But have you ever wondered what's actually happening behind the scenes? Angular's event system has a hidden layer — one that lets you do things most developers don't even know are possible. In this talk, we'll pull back the curtain, explore how it all works under the hood, and see how to apply this magic directly in your real-world projects.
**Dániel Szendrei \- AGFA Healthcare \| [LinkedIn](https://www.linkedin.com/in/daniel-szendrei-2056b0113/)**
All the terrible Angular hacks I had to do so you don't have to
* How to Resolve “ModuleWithProviders is Not Assignable” When Importing Your Library into Standalone Components in Angular.
* How to use Angular's DI to auto-resolve dependencies in InjectionToken Factory functions.
* Implementing a Custom Lifecycle Hook for Services in Angular.
* Bridging Signals to RxJS: Why toObservable() Isn’t Always Perfect. (if there is enough time)
* How to Mock a Signal Store in Angular

**Attendees:**
Don't have a game to show? Not a problem! All are welcomed and invited from all ages and backgrounds. The more we can have to play test our games the better!
**Developers:**
Do you have a game that you would like to get critical feedback on? Would you like an excuse to work on a game with other talented artists, programmers, musicians, designers, and writers? Digital, table-top, non-experienced developers, and the like are welcomed! We'll provide signage for your game to help others learn more about your work. Wifi, outlets, tables, and seats (though standing tables also) are available.
Come to the Prototype and Play workshop to collaborate and meet local game developers for an evening of epic and raw game play fun! Play works-in-progress, show off your own game, work with others to add polish to a game, or even lend your talents to other fellow developers.

**Some topics that may come up (based on attendee interest):**
• Frame Debugger & performance tooling
• Addressables & additive scene workflows
• Input System, localization, responsive UI
• AI integration approaches
• DevOps & LiveOps experiences
• Full lifecycle: idea → cross-platform publishing
• Favorite Asset Store tools and hidden gems

Or just come hang out and meet other developers.
All skill levels welcome!
Board games at The Forge
The Forge does have a full bar and kitchen. There is no cover charge but they do request all attendees to purchase a minimum of ~$20 per person. Soft drink refills are $1 each. Please support our hosts so we can continue to provide great events for the group!
The Forge has a large library of games available for us to enjoy. Hosts and regulars will also provide numerous popular games but please bring any games you would like to teach and/or play.
Doors open at 6, and we expect gaming to be rolling by around 630. Please promptly end your games and clear out the space at 10pm when the bar closes.
We encourage socializing but do not permit disruptive behavior of any kind. Thank you for your continued commitment to providing a fun and welcoming space to veteran, newbie, and rookie gamers in the Columbus area.
Parking can be challenging. There is a parking lot behind the neighboring Mexican restaurant that is free and easy to walk from but it's a bit hidden.
TBD
**Important time note:** Please plan on arriving between 5:30 and 6:00 as the elevators lock after 6 and you'll need to message us and we'll need to come get you.

Code Anywhere by Talking to your Phone
Drake Lundstrom is presenting:
Code Anywhere by Talking to your Phone
Abstract:
Have you heard the trend of people deploying code anywhere from checkout lines to doctors' offices? In this talk, you will learn how to talk to your phone and have an app on Azure to show your friend 5 minutes later. The basic DevOps tools you already know, plus a little bit of AI magic, are all you need!
If you want to follow along, the demo will be in Azure with GitHub Actions and GitHub Copilot, and you can have it set up on your phone by the end of the session. Just come in with an Azure account and a GitHub repo.
Join us for pizza, drinks, and networking @ Improving's office. Doors open at 5:45.
