Blue Lotus Ceremony: Transition into the second half of life
Blue Lotus Ceremony
Transition into the Second Half of Life
We invite you to an evening ceremony for women who are tired of constant rushing, endless analysis of the past, and searching for reasons for what is happening outside of themselves.
Sometimes, to feel at peace with yourself and experience satisfaction with life, all it takes is a few quiet minutes alone with your feelings.
Our Lotus Ceremony is a deep transformative space created to help you slow down, return your attention to yourself, and hear what is usually drowned out by the noise of everyday life.
During the ceremony we will work with attention, breathing, and inner observation.
The blue lotus infusion helps relax the body and gently deepen a state of presence.
A guided meditation will allow you to step out of the usual stream of thoughts and meet your feelings without analysis or the need to fix anything.
The sound of singing bowls supports concentration and creates an atmosphere where it is easier to stay connected with yourself.
This is a space where you can simply be, listen, and allow clarity to emerge naturally.
Program
19:00 — Arrival
A quiet entry into the space and time to shift from the outer rhythm of the day to a more inward focus.
19:15 — Introduction and intention circle
A brief introduction to the theme of the evening and an opportunity to set a personal intention.
19:30 — Lotus ceremony
Mindful sharing of the lotus infusion and a gentle deepening of inner awareness.
19:45 — Guided meditation
A practice of inner observation and staying present with your feelings.
20:30 — Closing the circle
A calm completion of the evening and a gradual return to everyday awareness.

Can we calculate which EU politician has the most influence?
Join us for an inspiring session exploring the intersection of data science and democratic transparency. In an age where political processes can often feel opaque, how can we use modern network analysis to understand the complex ties binding politicians, lobbyists, and decision-makers together?
Network analysis provides a digital "X-ray vision" for our democracy. Rather than focusing on isolated headlines, this technique allows us to map the underlying patterns of power and influence that truly shape our society.
In this meetup, we move beyond abstract theory to explore the practical ways technology can be used to strengthen democratic values.
We will dive into:
* **Mapping the EU Lobbying Landscape:** Insights from network analysis of meeting activity between politicians and lobbyists at both the European Parliament and Commission levels.
* **The Architecture of Power:** How we can visualize and understand the frequency and reach of interest groups and their access to the political system.
* **Transparency in Practice:** How data-driven techniques empower journalists, researchers, and citizens to hold decision-makers accountable and gain a deeper understanding of legislative processes.
**About the Speakers:**
**Inge-Maria Falbe-Maier** and **Marie Jessen Skau** have developed a deep focus on leveraging data and network analysis to uncover the dynamics of political influence. Through their recent research project, they have mapped and analyzed the meeting activities between politicians and lobbyists within the European Union's key institutions. By examining datasets from the European Parliament and the European Commission, they bring a fresh, data-driven perspective to how we can uncover "hidden networks" and use technical analysis to foster a more informed public.
Come prepared for a constructive dialogue on how we can learn from these analytical approaches to build a more transparent, resilient, and connected digital future. We look forward to seeing you there!

Fast Day hike. 47 KM. Ängelholm to Mölle
Hey Randoms,
This 47 KM day hike takes us through the scenic Kullaberg area in south Sweden. We start in Ängelholm and work our way west to the town of Mölle. The Kullaberg nature reserve doesn't have reliable camp options, but luckily we are a group of badass randoms, so we just hike it in one day - and fairly fast too.
The hiking starts in Ängelholm at 8:15. The goal is to get to Mölle before 19:20. That gets us back to CPH at 22:29. **The pace is going to be a higher than usual, and breaks are going to be short.** So please consider this when signing up. Smiley game face on, pack light, bring a good light source, avoid food where cooking is required.
Arrival later than 19:20 means we'll need to deal with a late train and an extended trip home, which means a very late arrival back in CPH at 01:26.......not awesome. But if our pace doesn't work out, or if shit just happens, that's how it'll be - we adapt. We'll get home eventually :-)
**Getting there**
Place: CPH Central Station
Train: Öresundståg 1018 - Göteborg
06:15 We meet on the platform - by the train. Check info screens.

Using Philosophy to Cope with Current Events
So this month's prompt is more general. I think we can all agree that we are living in "unique" times that require coping skills. I think that one role and/or purpose of philosophy is to help us deal with our daily lives and our "unique" times. So, let's share our feelings and thoughts about which philosopher/philosophy we turn to in order to deal with our crazy events. Who/what helps you stay focused in your daily life and helps you sleep at night. I find that Stoicism with a little philosophical pessimism mixed in goes a long way in helping me deal with what I see as very destructive, fearful and mean spirited public policies at both the state and federal levels. Hope to see you on March 28th!
