WORLD CUP 2026 - FREE ENTRY 🙂🍻@ The Phoenix
Every year it’s a mad scramble to get in somewhere to watch the match but trust me - THIS IS THE BEST LOCATION TO WATCH THE FOOTBALL. Multiple screens that can be seen everywhere in the venue, cheap pints, Food & Drinks Deals.
I've booked 2 tables in the outside area at front but DO ARRIVE before 5:00pm as it will be busy and tables will be first come, first served.
It's FREE ENTRY so bring your friends, bring your foes, bring the flatmate that doesn’t really like football but still want’s to be part of the action because things are hotting up. Clearly, it’s coming home. Definitely.
This time 🏴😄🍻
NOTE: We'll then have the Live Music Gig Meetup downstairs from 7:30pm.
\-\-\-
👀 Something is happening...
The best way I can describe it is like one member said to me:
'Tim - It's like freshers week, every week, but better, with bands and stuff...'
and that's how it's been over the last 7 years since we created this group. It's honestly the most fun we've had and I'm inviting everyone of you because something's been happening for a while now and you just don't know about it...It's a Showcase of some of the Best London bands playing their music in London - and it's also a MEETUP group, so you can watch the gig with a mix of regular members and newcomers. Feel free to come on your own or bring your friends and meet new people. Look for the 'MEETUP SIGN' or ask the Host on the Door when you arrive. It's an awesome line-up and at one of the Top Venues in London - Great place for a beer, meet new people and see some amazing unsigned bands! 🔥🔥🚒🍻

‼️ THE ULTIMATE LONDON GIG MEETUP! ‼️

There aren't enough emojis for this, so I'll keep it simple: BE THERE.
If you've been to the MEET-UPS over the last 7 years, you'll know what it's all about so come down, bring your friends, bring your foes, cancel your wedding, book Granny out of the retirement home. Whatever it takes, she won't want miss it 😄🍻
\*
WHATSAPP GROUP:
We're a friendly mix; English, French, Australian, Portuguese, Italian, Spanish and Japanese people so I'm sure you will meet someone that shares a passion for Rocking Music. Don't worry if attendance looks low, we are meeting other Meetup / WhatsApp / Facebook Groups and a lot of my friends don't RSVP. I can also add you to the Event's WHATSAPP GROUP if you are interested in joining - Just message me your number.

A Cyanotype Workshop with Nature
**🎟️ Tickets available on [Eventbrite](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-cyanotype-workshop-with-nature-as-co-author-tickets-1990651946559?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true)**[ ](https://www.eventbrite.co.uk/e/a-cyanotype-workshop-with-nature-as-co-author-tickets-1990651946559?aff=oddtdtcreator&keep_tld=true)
Discover cyanotype, a photographic printing process, in this hands-on workshop where Nature becomes your co-author
Slow down, step outside, and perhaps take a walk through the local *Lee Valley* — exploring *Bow Creek Ecology Park*and *East India Dock Basin* between Canary Wharf and Trinity Buoy Wharf — for a little birdwatching and inspiration from the natural world.
Breathe deeply, listen to the river, and enjoy the calm energy that comes from spending time outdoors. Walking in nature can help quiet the mind, restore focus, and reconnect us with the rhythms of the natural world.
Notice the delicate shapes, textures, and shadows that Nature creates, and transform them into your own cyanotype prints.
Then come to *BE Ka Art Studio*, Elena's riverside atelier in *Trinity Buoy Wharf*, for a relaxing cynotype session. In this hands-on workshop, you'll discover cyanotype. This photographic printing process uses sunlight, water, and natural materials to create stunning one-of-a-kind artworks in deep luminous blue.
Using botanicals, shells, feathers, and found objects, you'll compose your own prints and watch them develop in real time. No cameras, screens, or prior experience needed.
You'll leave with your own original cyanotype artworks.
## Nature & Back to Gaia
These workshops are dedicated to Nature and *Back to Gaia – A Copyright for Nature* 👉 *[https://www.backtogaia.org](https://www.backtogaia.org)*
The founder of the project will present during the events, sharing the vision behind the initiative and its work protecting the natural world.
10% of every ticket will be donated to the charity and invested in projects that support and protect Nature.
## What You’ll Do
* Arrange botanicals and natural objects to compose your own cyanotype prints
* Add a personal touch with wooden letters, drawings, or handwritten details
* Expose your work in sunlight — or UV light if the weather is cloudy
* Develop your prints in water and watch the images appear
## What’s Included
Everything is provided, including:
* A5 coated paper sheet in your choice of colour
* Acrylic film
* Botanicals, feathers, shells, and natural materials *(feel free to bring your own if you'd like)*
* Small wooden craft letters
* Trays and all cyanotype materials
Just bring your curiosity.
Additional paper in different colours and sizes will be available to purchase on the day, along with acetate sheets and markers to customise your creations even further.
## Good to Know
* No prior experience necessary — suitable for complete beginners
* Relaxed and creative atmosphere
* Children must be accompanied by an adult
* Step-free access available
#### **Please Bring**
#### **BYOB** – No drinks or food will be provided. You’re welcome to bring your own.
The studio is close to local favourites such as *The Orchard Café* and *Layers Bakery*\*\*,\*\* if you’d like to grab a drink or snack before or after (both open every day until 4 pm).
## **📍Location – Trinity Buoy Wharf, London** E14 0FP
The workshop takes place at **Trinity Buoy Wharf**, a historic 19th-century site in London’s Docklands, now home to one of London’s most vibrant creative communities, a sculpture park, event venues, and the iconic Container City™ buildings.
More info: [https://www.trinitybuoywharf.com](https://www.trinitybuoywharf.com/ "https://www.trinitybuoywharf.com/")

Directing and Lighting Your Shoot
**Don’t miss your opportunity to learn from a duo with over 16 years of experience combined. During this demonstration event, you can expect to learn how to direct and guide your creative vision through lighting and communication to your model. We guarantee you will leave this event feeling more confident to try new lighting set ups to match up with your anticipated outcome. Finding the right way to express your vision is key to getting your model to pose accordingly, so we got you there too! To take this even further, think about signing up for a tutorial spot following the demonstration.**
***Note: this is a demonstration event only, you will not shoot your own images. However, if you bring your camera we can test it for compatibility with the studio lights.***
**Following the demonstration will be a tutorial/coaching event - sign up separately if you are interested at**
https://calendar.app.google/ZcHb4CQB2rrV3U7j9
**Save and book both for $199 (discounted from $215; the discount will be applied on the Tutorial invoice).**
Monthly General Meeting
This will be our regular monthly meeting, with a new topic picked each month. Topics to be determined and posted soon.
The Completely Series
These meetings will be a building block approach to learning photographic mastery over three disciplines:
Completely Mechanical (CM) - A 13-week series
Completely Exposed (CE) - A 26-week series
Completely Composed (CC) - A 52-week series
All three series will run concurrently and will dovetail as follows:
Q3/26 - CM (Iter 1), CE (Iter 1, Pt 1), CC (Iter 1, Pt1)
Q4/26 - CM (Iter 2), CE (Iter 1, Pt 2), CC (Iter 1, Pt2)
Q1/27 - CM (Iter 3), CE (Iter 2, Pt 1), CC (Iter 1, Pt3)
Q2/27 - CM (Iter 4), CE (Iter 2, Pt 2), CC (Iter 1, Pt4)
That's likely confusing, but essentially, CM offered 4 times in that period, CE offered 2 times, and CC offered 1 time.
**TO BE CLEAR - THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR THESE CLASSES.**
This is an aggressive series, with presentations, homework, group shoots to be added in, likely at LEAST twice a month, image critiques, and an expectation that you are willing to put in the work to elevate your photography significantly. Open to all levels and all equipment levels. Don't let hesitation about your skillset and/or gear keep you from a one-time opportunity.
The group will meet every Tuesday, with periodic exceptions, and we will try to keep as close as possible to the original plan. Obviously, more data is coming and will be published as this is further developed, but now is the time to decide if you want to be a part of this.
The Completely Series - Field Shoot
These events on the schedule are to serve three purposes:
1. These will serve as field shoots targeted at The Completely Series homework. Generally, each of these shoots will focus on the homework assigned in the two prior weeks. So locations and topics will be picked to match those expectations.
2. Additionally, these events are to serve as placeholders for TIME OF DAY. They are intended to be modified as needed to capture SUNRISE and/or EARLY MORNING light. They will likely be modified to time out for the IDEAL light on that day, at that location. EXPECT THEM TO BE MODIFIED as the time of year changes and/or schedule conflicts occur. But THERE WILL BE at least one morning shoot per month.
3. Lastly, they are also to serve as semi-monthly morning shoots for the group as a whole. YOU DO NOT NEED TO BE IN THE COMPLETELY SERIES to attend any of these morning field shoots.

You can sleep in on the Sesquicentennial (observed), we’re shifting to the following Friday.
But join the local UX community for a chat and some biscuits to catch up. If you were in CA for Figma Config, tell us all the lines and you can tell me how I can animate an SVG without coding it by hand, and why I’d even want to.
Thanks to the team at Nationwide of supporting the group.
