And this time, even if you do not get a match, we have arranged for you to pass special messages to that special someone you may see across the room! Here’s how it works: SPEED DATING: Each attendee is given a name tag with a Meetup number on it as well as an index card on which they print their name, number, and email address. For the first hour, we line the men and women up and rotate everyone every four minutes so that each person gets the chance to meet about one dozen potential mates. Each person then writes down the Meetup number of anyone whom they would like to see again and hands the cards to us. We sort through them, and a few days after the event, we email any mutual matches. SECRET ADMIRER: What if you don’t get a response from that special someone? Or, was there someone you did not have an opportunity to approach? Throughout the evening, you may meet that special someone you want to send an additional message to. But, either you did not quite make a match, or you did not have an opportunity to approach him/her. Once you are out on the pool deck you will be exactly where we practice. Agenda: First 15 minutes: Arrival at the pool, getting gear from the shared gear bin, dividing into two teams, getting gear on. Minutes 15-30: Getting in the water, teaching any new players the basics Minutes 20-70: Scrimmage/practice. Come out to the Reston Community Center and play some games! Party games? Strategy games? Tabletop role-playing games? This massive space can accommodate games for every interest. While the event starts at 5pm, feel free to roll in whenever you are able! If you have games to bring that you'd like to share or run, please do! Food and drink are not provided within the venue, but you are allowed to bring in anything you need from outside locations, just please be considerate of other people's games and the tables when doing so. Park anywhere in the parking lot. The Community Center building is located directly behind Ledo Pizza. Walk straight back to the main room once you enter the building.
