Photo Walk - Gasometer to Ostbahnsteg
Photo Walk - Gasometer to Ostbahnsteg
Join me for a photo walk :) We will gather at Gasometer (in front of Apotheke - straight out of Ubahn). After a short introduction we will walk around the 4 iconic buildings, then make our way to Ostbahnsteg, where a view over Donaukanal awaits. At the end of the walk everyone is welcome to join for a warm drink at a nearby cafe. The event is free of charge but will be limited to max 10 people as it is meant as an opportunity to connect, and the park is the perfect location for losing parts of a group. It is suitable for all regardless of age/level/gear. IMPORTANT: as these events are usually full, please make sure to cancel at least 24h in advance if you see you aren´t able to make it. Failing to do so will result in a ban from the next 3 events.

We're visiting The Atelier at **Impact Hub Vienna** this time, thankfully to the sponsor **Bytesource**! *** 📍 **Location** The Atelier Impact Hub Vienna [Lindengasse 56, 1070 Wien](https://www.google.com/maps/place//data=!4m2!3m1!1s0x476d078cbc5cf79b:0x3e9197850789a772?sa=X&ved=1t:8290&ictx=111) 🕒 **When** **April 22th 2026** Doors open at 17:00 for networking, food & drinks. Talks start at 18:00. *** 🗓️ **Agenda** * **17:00 - 18:00:** Entry & Networking * **18:00 - 18:05:** Welcome and Introduction AWS Community Vienna * **18:05 - 18:10:** Welcome and Introduction to the sponsors (**Bytesource**) * **18:10 - 19:00:** **"Sales Copilot: Turn complex technical inquiries into clear, accurate offers in minutes, not hours!"** * **19:00 - 19:20:** Networking break * **19:20 - 20:00:** **"Beyond Vibe Coding"** * **20:00 – Open End:** Networking **"Sales Copilot: Turn complex technical inquiries into clear, accurate offers in minutes, not hours!"** *Speaker:* **Alexander Matev**, CISO at Bytesource *About the talk:* Sales CoPilot as a solution that helps teams turn complex technical customer inquiries into clear, accurate quotations much faster, reducing turnaround from hours to minutes. The business problem: technical sales requests are slow, difficult, and error-prone when handled manually. The Solution: Our Sales CoPilot interprets complex requirements, works with documentation and technical data, and supports offer preparation. Technology foundation: strong emphasis on AWS as the enabler, plus AI/LLM-driven processing. Architecture choice: a set of core AWS services to deliver both the user-facing application and the AI-powered data processing pipeline. Amazon S3 stores uploaded product datasheets and hosts the frontend assets, while Amazon CloudFront accelerates and securely delivers the web interface to users. Incoming application traffic is routed through an Application Load Balancer (ALB) to containerized services running on Amazon ECS, which handle both backend business logic and document ingestion tasks. For AI capabilities, Amazon Bedrock is used in two places: to extract and transform structured information from PDF datasheets, and to power the agentic logic behind the application. Persistent structured data is stored in Amazon Aurora PostgreSQL, which supports read/write operations from the backend. Together, these AWS services provide a scalable, cloud-native architecture for hosting, processing, AI enrichment, and application delivery. ### **"Beyond Vibe Coding"** *Speaker:* **Sergio Lopez-Gehler**, Solutions Architect @ AWS AI agents are changing how engineers write, test, and ship code. This talk explores what agentic coding looks like in practice — the workflow, the tradeoffs, and the tools that make it work. We'll cover how to collaborate effectively with AI agents: prompting, reviewing, iterating, and knowing when to take over. We'll look at what changes when development gets significantly faster — testing strategies, CI/CD pipelines, and team coordination all need to keep up. Then we'll introduce Kiro, an agentic IDE that uses spec-driven development, steering rules, and hooks to let engineers define how the agent operates within their codebase. We'll also look at AWS DevOps Agent — an autonomous operations teammate that correlates metrics, logs, and deployment history to investigate incidents and identify root causes before you even open your laptop. *** 💛 **Sponsors:** * **Bytesource** - [https://bytesource.net/de/](https://bytesource.net/de/) *** 📌 **RSVP now** and invite your colleagues to celebrate, learn, and connect with the AWS community at **Impact Hub Vienna**! UX VIENNA at home with Arnold Schönberg
UX VIENNA at home with Arnold Schönberg
Arnold Schönberg (1874–1951) was one of the most significant figures in the creative world in the first half of the 20th century. Following in the tradition of Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms, and Mahler, the Austrian (and, after his immigration to New York and later Los Angeles, also US-American) composer, music theorist, teacher, and writer reshaped the practice of harmony in classical music. Some of Schönberg’s most famous contributions were the development of his twelve-tone-method and his attention to sound color (Klangfarbe), both of which strongly influenced generations of composers up until today. But Schönberg’s creative world goes beyond music. He was a designer, painter, inventor, and systems thinker: building tools and furniture, binding books, designing stage sets and costumes, inventing machines, and even building his own chess set, for four players. In this meetup, we explore Schönberg through a UX lens: what can his way of thinking, making, and problem-solving teach us about design, tools, and user experience today? We will also look at the museum and concert space as an experience that unfolds through the perception of an audience. The [Arnold Schönberg Center](https://schoenberg.at/) is a repository of Schönberg's archival legacy. Director Dr. Ulrike Anton will provide an introduction to the Arnold Schönberg Center. User researcher Dr. Franziska Brunner will give us a guided tour and lead a discussion of the exhibition. Arnold Schönberg's estate is on [UNESCO’s Memory of the World Register](https://www.unesco.at/en/communication/documentary-heritage/memory-of-the-world-in-austria/arnold-schoenberg-estate), recognized for its global importance as a documentary heritage. After an afternoon in the museum space from 3:00–6:00 p.m.. We also invite you to attend an [in-house concert at 6:30 p.m](https://schoenberg.at/en/events/upcoming-events/3793/loops-from-other-planets)., followed by dinner. 🎻 🍽️ * The €18 concert price includes entrance to the exhibit. (Entrance to just the exhibit without the concert costs € 6.) * Admission for both the museum and the concert is free for those under 26 years old. * Dinner afterwards is optional, and everyone will cover their own meal. *Photo: Replica of Schönberg's study room © Johannes Böck*

Run+B-fast
Run+B-fast
Hi Running fellows, Whether you’re a walker, new to running, a semi-pro, a marathonist or a sprint star - if you want to start your weekend in an active way and enjoy the outdoors in lovely surroundings with a fun, international and multilingual group of people, you are welcome to join us! Every Saturday at 9:30 am, we meet, we run, in the magnificent Schönbrunn park, and then we go for breakfast. Want to discuss politics or the best recipes for banana pancakes? Not a problem. Not feeling social? Tune out with your earbuds - we can talk over breakfast. We are casual. You can be too. What to expect: Start by meeting Adrian, Ali, Liz, Paul and Sonia on-time at 9:30am outside the Schönbrunn U-Bahn stop (exit Grünbergstraße). (Coordinates: 48.1858130, 16.3200640) From there, we walk to the side park entrance where the “running” part begins. The important thing is that you run at your own pace. Typically, small groups of people will run at the same pace as you, so you never have to walk/run alone :) We finish one hour later, at about 10:40am, reconvening just inside the Hietzinger Tor exit. (Coordinates: 48.1858825, 16.3032647). From there, we’re off to breakfast! Breakfast Details: Anker bakery opposite the U4 Hietzing station and depending on the weather, grab something for a picnic in Schönbrunn park, or hang out in the bakery. If you missed us earlier, you can always go there around 10:45. We are a fun group of runners who don’t take things too seriously. We meet, chat, RUN, stretch, chat, EAT and we hang out over a beer every now and then. It's that easy. Please join us for breakfast after the run! The more the merrier. Typically we are 10-30 people, as not everyone who comes signs up on meetup. Important disclaimer: Please only run as much as you feel you can, considering the temperature, weather conditions, your own fitness etc... run and walk at your own pace as the organizers do not assume any liability for any injuries or health issues. Sonia, Adrian, Ali, Paul and Liz

We'll progress from Copilot basics to the Copilot CLI, explore how Agents add autonomy, and see how Instructions and Skills let you customize agent behavior.
