[SOLD OUT] Hello! 🙂 Meeting place: at the Goethe Institute. I'll post a more precise comment on the day. Meeting time: 615pm. Please book online as this is a free event and likely to sell out. https://firstfortnight.ie/festival/beckettian-spaces-resilience Note / Disclaimer: Attending this event and every event in this group is entirely in every way at your own risk. Any questions, message me. Please please don't forget to join us! Thanks! Alan Beckettian Spaces of Resilience: Language, Creativity and the Mind. In partnership with the Goethe-Institut, The French Embassy, The Department of Drama at Trinity College Dublin and the Trinity Centre for Beckett Studies. This Franco-German event explores Samuel Beckett’s art of resilience across two contemporary artistic projects: a screening of En Attendant Monsieur Godot (France, dir. Alice Clabaut, subtitled in English) and a visual presentation inspired by the exhibition Samuel Beckett: The German Room currently at the Regensburg University. Through film, photographs, and conversation with artists, the event reflects on Beckett’s exploration of resilience and creativity, as well as on the ways in which Beckett's work keeps inspiring communities to find means of expression and grow solidarity and resilience. The artistic panel will include the director of the film Alice Clabaut and Céline Thobois, Teaching Fellow in Drama at Trinity College.

The Housemaid (Thriller) (Luxx 20.15) & new movie quiz 👌
THE HOUSEMAID is a wildly entertaining thriller starring Sydney Sweeney and Amanda Seyfried, based on the best-selling book. From director Paul Feig, the film plunges audiences into a twisted world where perfection is an illusion, and nothing is as it seems. Trying to escape her past, Millie (Sweeney) accepts a job as a live-in housemaid for the wealthy Nina (Seyfried) and Andrew Winchester (Brandon Sklenar). But what begins as a dream job quickly unravels into something far more dangerous — a sexy, seductive game of secrets, scandal, and power. Behind the Winchesters’ closed doors lies a world of shocking twists that will leave you guessing until the very end. Meet Dunphys at 19.00. Watch out for Cinema Club sign.

Dublin Runners Saturday Morning Run 7km to 16 km
Dublin Runners Saturday Morning Run 7km to 16 km
This event is for anyone seeking a social run with like minded people. It will consist of 2 loops. the first loop will be run at 6 20 - 6 30 per km pace and will be about 7 km in length. We will then join with the main Dublin Runners group at 9:00 am back at the Visitors Centre (VC), where a variety of pace options will be available. Some of us are using this to prepare for spring half or full marathons. if this is your plan we may be an ideal group for you to consider and a few of us will be starting even earlier for a few extra kms. This second loop will be approximately 10 km to 12 km. So you can choose to join at 8 15 am or 9 00 am. Please arrive 5 mins early as we are firm about start times. We usually finish with tea and cake in the cafe in the VC. If your pace is lower than 6 30 per km for about 8 km this run may not be for you. If doing both loops could you sign in to both this one and the 9:00 one also please. If you have any questions contact Harry.

Reston Happy Hour: Scaling Cloud Infrastructure for Heavy Workloads
Reston Happy Hour: Scaling Cloud Infrastructure for Heavy Workloads
Gaming, AdTech, EdTech, Media Streaming, and FinTech are just a few of the workloads where high-availability cloud infrastructure matters. Whether you’re doing battle daily in one of these spaces or are just curious about ways to improve performance, meet us in Reston for an in-person discussion on bare metal cloud architecture. You’ll meet our product lead, James MacKenzie, who will walk through how modern bare metal serves as a control plane for hybrid and private cloud architectures. **What we will cover** * Ways to leverage bare metal, containers, and orchestration for better performance and predictable economics; * Real-world hybrid, disaster recovery, and data-intensive architectures; * Our approach to eliminating ingress and egress fees. **Who should attend** * Cloud architects and platform engineers; * DevOps professionals and infrastructure leads; * FinOps stakeholders managing data-heavy or hybrid workloads. **Why attend** This is a technical, architecture-first conversation. You will leave with a clearer understanding of high-availability cloud infrastructure and how organizations are scaling cost-effectively. Food and drinks will be provided. Space is limited to keep the discussion interactive.

Bitcoin Montgomery for Women and Friends
Bitcoin Montgomery for Women and Friends
Join us for our first meetup! We will have a discussion on Fiat vs Bitcoin, a little bit of learning and discussions that are important to the group. This a social group so bring your questions and curiosity, prepared to listen and share. Too often, women are left out of the conversation while they prepare to live longer, care for more people and are the heart of any community. Wouldn't it be great if we could be more educated on ways to beat inflation, have more choices, and be prepared for the changes to come? Please bring your questions, so that we can plan topics for future meet-ups.
