Let's Play Improv Games in the Park! :)
Join us for a great afternoon full of fun games involving acting, improvisation, and theater! No experience or acting skills required. All you need is imagination! Anyone who is interested in trying something new is welcome. It's also a great way to meet people, or to practice your English.
After the event we often also go for drinks and/or dinner together.
**What do we do in this event?**
We will play all sorts of games that involve acting and improvisation. Many of them you might know from the TV show "Whose Line is it Anyway?". The games we play are different every time, but here are some typical examples:
If you don't like some of the games, then don't worry, you can participate in as many games as you want and you can skip any games you don't like.
**How much does it cost?**
We're charging 2 euros per person.
This is just to help recover some of the expenses of the meetup account. We're hosting this event only for fun and we do not make any profit out of it.
You can pay in cash or by Bizum when you arrive at the event.
**In what language will this event be?**
All games will be played in English. Of course, we do not expect you to speak perfect English, but without a basic level of English it will be hard to participate (if you're not sure about your level of English, just come along and try).
**Can I come to just watch?**
Sure! If you don't want to participate, or if you're not sure yet, then you're welcome to just come along and watch.
**What do I need to bring or wear?**
You don't need to bring or wear anything special. However, it is advisable to wear comfortable clothes that allow you to move easily.
**Do I need to prepare anything?**
Nope! The whole point of improvisation is that you can't prepare anything :)
**If I want to join, do I need to sign up?**
Yes, please! Even if there are more than enough places, it is very important that you still sign up for this event.
This is for two reasons:
1\. If not enough people sign up then we may have to cancel the event\.
2\. The more people sign up\, the more attractive this event becomes for other people to also sign up\.
Anyway, if you forget to sign up you're still more than welcome to join :)
**Where do we meet?**
We meet in the Parc de la Ciutadella. If you're coming from the Arc de Triomf and enter the park, turn left directly after the entrance. You will see a big industrial art piece (see photos). Keep walking until you passed it. We will meet right behind this art piece.
When we arrive at the meeting point we usually upload a selfie to the photo section of the event, so you can recognize us. We also usually bring a small A4-sized meetup sign.
**Can I suggest some games to play?**
Sure! If you know any fun games that are related to improv theater and that you would like to play, just let the organizers know before the start of the event. We're always happy to receive input from the participants.
**Do you have a Whatsapp group to stay in contact after the event?**
Yes, we do! If you want to join our group, please ask the organizers to add you, before or after the event.
Exigencia constante: cuando rendir bien no significa estar bien
Hay personas que no fallan.
Cumplen. Responden. Rinden.

To celebrate two years of activity in Barcelona, the Community "Barcelona Filosófica" organizes a public party - Pin Nic, with food, drinks, music and philosophical games!
A good occasion to celebrate with those who participate, have participated or are curious and perhaps in the future will participate in one of the many ways to make philosophy a vital and creative reflective practice for daily life, for those who are convinced that philosophy is an important world to rediscover on a popular level (beyond the Academy). A way to celebrate the philosophy of dialogue as the heart of this new universe that must be explored together in many different ways.
But above all an excuse to celebrate two years in which we have traveled through streets, alleys and squares, where we have occupied cafes and associations, entered private homes and made public reflections, always following the master path of self-discovery and the world, with renewed confidence in our abilities to think, to be and to speak with others (and with ourselves).
That’s why it’s good to party!
The party is free, but with two key conditions:
- Everyone will bring something to drink and/or eat for everyone, in agreement with the party organizers.
- It will be a moment to be together, and then participate in the games and music of the event.
Therefore, anyone registering for the event is asked to write privately to the organizer-coordinator, philosopher Emanuele Profumi who created this Meetup, to coordinate what to bring and how to participate in the philosophical games and the Musical Jam.
Word of mouth is welcome to extend the invitation to other people, friends, acquaintances. The important thing is that everyone brings something to eat and/or drink according to the instructions given by the organizer.
This is the general program (shortly before the party, the program with details will be communicated here)
- Brief philosophical readings (Open microphone)
- Philosophical quiz for nerds and less nerds
- Jam Session Musical with Latin American rhythms and not only
What are you waiting for to sign up and participate in the event?!
See you in the beautiful gardens of Montjuic (near to the central Little lane)!
- Brevi letture filosofiche (Microfono aperto)
Cosa aspetti per iscriverti e partecipare all'evento?!

[ENGLISH] SATURDAY / CAFÉ - Philosophy Meetup: 17h - 18:30
Do you have a hunger for a deeper understanding of yourself and the world around you? Do you value deep, honest and respectful dialogue?
If yes, then you will enjoy this event.
We ask, answer and discuss questions and ideas to stimulate critical thinking and to widen our perspectives with new concepts and thoughts.
The main purpose of these meetups is to enrich ourselves with the perspectives of others, not to convince others about our own perspectives.
Our meetups are about our own philosophies of life and not necessarily what the great philosophers and academics have said or written. It is not a debating club or a platform for proselytizing. Instead, we place the emphasis on questioning, open mindedness and challenging our own assumptions while listening to and respecting the views shared by others.
A Socrates Café meetup is considered a success when participants leave a discussion with many more questions than they had at the beginning.
WHAT TOPICS ARE DISCUSSED AT THE MEETUP?
Participants suggest topics at the beginning of each meeting. We then vote and choose that event's most popular topic for discussion. No academic training in philosophy necessary; just enthusiasm for exchanging ideas and points of view.
Some examples of subjects chosen on previous meetups:
What ideals are worth dying for?
Why are we never satisfied?
Why is it that human beings know that the society is going wrong, leaders are well informed about it and things continue as is?
Is identity necessary?
How can it be that people in democratic societies are so obsessed with power? (Desire to be different, better, stronger than others)
What is friendship?
EVERYONE AND ANYONE IS WELCOME
The inspiration for Socrates Cafe originates with the book of the same name, written by the philosopher Christopher Phillips. (Socrates Cafe: A Fresh Taste of Philosophy, 2002). Phillips felt that the Socratic method of dialogue and discussion should be practiced not just in academic settings, but among everyday people interested in examining deep questions together. Hundreds of Socrates Cafe groups now exist around the world. To learn more, visit [https://socratescafe.com](https://socratescafe.com).

Unknown Number: The High School Catfish
IMPORTANT!!! THE DATE OF THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CHANGED TO SUNDAY MAY 17, 2026!!!
A very unusual choice for his group... Unknown Number: High School Catfish is an American [true crime](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/True_crime "True crime") documentary film directed by [Skye Borgman](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Skye_Borgman "Skye Borgman") and released to [streaming](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Streaming_media "Streaming media") on [Netflix](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Netflix "Netflix") on August 29, 2025.
The documentary explores the events and investigation into an unknown person [cyberbully](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cyberbullying "Cyberbullying") and [harassing](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Harassment "Harassment") teenagers in [Beal City, Michigan](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Beal_City,_Michigan "Beal City, Michigan") using an unknown number via insults and sexual claims. It also explores the increasingly great impact of the harassment on the community, the eventual reveal of the culprit, and the trial that followed.
IMPORTANT INFO: I strongly suggest not reading anything about it online before seeing it. It's best viewed with no previous knowledge. This documentary contains crude terminology and deals with cyberbullying, which may be a trigger for some folks.
Please be ready to discuss the movie by 7PM. Thanks.
Unfortunately, it is only available on Netflix. If you would like to attend but do not have Netflix, say so and maybe we can figure something out.

CMG Gives Back: Serve Brunch at FAITH MISSION GRANT KITCHEN!
Join us as we get together to get together to help those in need at this CMG Gives Back event! We have a great little community of Movie Group friends so rather than see a movie this time, we’ll help “create a better world” by helping serve those in need. Here are complete details and our plan for this event:
FAITH MISSION – GRANT KITCHEN: The Faith Mission kitchen and dining room serves residents 3 meals a day, every day of the year. For this event, our group will help prepare food, serve meals, assist residents in the dining room, wash dishes, and clean surfaces.
PLAN: We will be preparing / serving / cleaning for BRUNCH from 10:30am to 12:30pm and have space for a total of 7 volunteers. Please arrive at 10:20am and wear closed-toe shoes and long pants.
LOCATION: Faith Mission – Grant Kitchen is located at 245 N. Grant Ave. Enter the kitchen at Dock 1 (in the back of the building), indicated in the attached map. On-site parking in the adjacent lot and street parking is available in the surrounding area. Below are some links / attachments with additional info/details:
IMPORTANT REMINDER: Our group will be providing all of the volunteers on this day so a firm RSVP count is essential. Please only sign up if you are certain you’ll be able to attend. If something unavoidable comes up, please try to update your RSVP no later than one week prior to the event. With few exceptions, no shows or cancelations within 1
week of the event will not be eligible for future CMG Gives Back events. I appreciate your understanding as we try to ensure the agencies have the volunteers needed to provide the essential services they provide to the vulnerable population they serve. Our Partner Agency for this event is Lutheran Social Services! A huge THANK YOU to all of YOU for volunteering at this (and any of our previous) CMG Gives Back events!
Should be another good/fun/meaningful time together, Dan
