PCE - "Psychologic Conversation in English" is a discussion event in English language which focuses on psychology, philosophy, self-consciousness and self-realization. The conversation is based on inclusive discussion rules. We will meet at at a restaurant where we will have a private room exclusively reserved for our event. Please don't bring pets to the event because the room availability is limited at this venue. \*\*\*\*\* SPECIAL FEATURED EVENT "HOW TO BE HAPPY?": THIS TOPIC WILL BE DISCUSSED IN THE FIRST PART - THE TOPIC FOR THE SECOND PART WILL BE VOTED \*\*\*\*\* At the beginning we will choose the topic to discuss. Everybody can suggest a topic. The host will then delete one topic from the list. Afterwards we will vote what to discuss between the remaining topics. The person who suggested the winning topic will then explain his idea of the topic. Afterwards everybody gets his/her chance to make a statement. But you can also decide to remain silent and only listen, if you prefer that. We have a time limit for statements, so that everybody has enough time to speak. It is not allowed to interrupt somebody who is speaking. After a statement everybody can ask a question and the speaker will answer. Alleine ist langweilig und die Zeit vergeht nicht, daher hab ich mir Walk & Talk überlegt. Inspiriert wurde ich durch die Walk & Talk Gruppe in Hamburg, wo ich mehrere Male dabei war als ich in Hamburg lebte. Unterschiedliche Menschen treffen sich einmal in der Woche für einen flotten Spaziergang und unterhalten sich dabei. Ich liebe es neue Menschen kennenzulernen und auch bekannte Gesichter wiederzusehen, dann geh ich ganz nebenbei und das macht auch noch Spaß.😊 **Walk:** Wir brauchen einfach regelmäßige Bewegung und ich weiß selbst, wie schwierig es ist, diese in den Alltag zu integrieren. Deshalb ist dieser Walk genau richtig. Nach diesem Spaziergang fühlst du dich einfach wohl, fit und entspannt. **Talk:** Das Reden kommt ganz von selbst beim Gehen. Du kannst über alles reden, egal, ob privates oder berufliches, alles was sich ergibt ist willkommen. We warmly invite you to our **Kick-off Event: Film Screening & Cultural Exhibition**, organized by *Medizin- und Nothilfe für Sudan e.V.* in collaboration with the **Office for Antiracism Work (ÖH University of Vienna)**. We will be showing the film Tajouj (1977), which is set in eastern Sudan a hundred years ago. The kick-off event also includes a cultural exhibition featuring Sudanese products. The war in Sudan began on April 15, 2023, due to political tensions and the refusal of the RSF militia to integrate into the national army. Since then, over 14 million people have been displaced. The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) militia in Sudan continues to commit crimes against civilians, forced evictions, looting and robbery, beatings, rape, and sexual harassment. The brutal genocidal war in Alfashir 11 in 2025 after the RSF militia conquered the Darfur region. The RSF militia took over the Darfur region in November 2025. The war is currently also concentrated in Kordofan, violence against civilians and women continues. In addition, there are drone attacks from RSF-Miliz on other regions in Sudan, targeting electricity and water supplies as well as fuel depots. Over 50% of hospitals have been destroyed or are out of service, and the RSF militia has used schools, hospitals, and residential buildings as military bases. Furthermore, there is a shortage of medicines, supply chains have been disrupted, and health facilities have been largely destroyed. Our Association for Medicine and Emergency Aid for Sudan is committed to supporting healthcare initiatives and emergency relief throughout Sudan. This year, we are running a dialysis aid project and combating infectious diseases such as dengue fever and cholera in Sudan. **Monthly "Pub Moot" and Lecture Series- *in English*** **This Month’s Topic:** ***"I was talking to a German friend about how I'd started learning about runes, and that I was going to have some magical jewellery made with runes on it.*** ***'Just be careful wearing that around here', he replied.*** ***I knew about the Nazis' use of runes. I tried to explain to him that these runes were the Elder Futhark and not the Armanen runes created by Guido von List - which the SS adapted.*** ***'Still, best to conceal it', he said. And naturally, he was right. Most people won't know the difference."*** ***And it is of course not just the runes. Spirituality and right-wing philosophy overlaps in many ways. What are historical and current reasons for that? How do we recognise right-wing agendas posing as spirituality, and how do we avoid them? And just what on Earth is spiritual racism? The Humanist Monthly Program is our longest running event and still a community favorite. In the old days it used to be called "Going to HCCO" and we still like to think of it as our flagship event. We will be hearing from Becca Powell, Director of Advocacy and Outreach at Unchained At Last, an organization whose mission is dedication to ending forced and child marriage in the United States through direct services and systems change. Unchained At Last's mission clearly meshes and addresses several of our Humanist Ten Commitments. Becca will educate us about an issue many of us may not be familiar with--but should be.
