He showcased his percussion skills from a young age, inspired by two family members who were well-known figures in the Venezuelan music industry. In the year 2000, Padrón decided to settle in New York City to begin his journey as a percussionist, taking his first steps alongside the renowned pianist Eddy Martínez at **Tito Puente's** restaurant in New York. That same year, he continued his musical studies with percussion master **Johnny Almendra** at **Boys Harbor Music School.** Between 2007 and 2008, **Carlitos Padrón** became part of the music staff for the Off-Broadway show ***Celia Cruz – The Musical*.** In 2016, he had the opportunity to participate in the Broadway show ***On Your Feet*** as the lead percussion substitute.
