Member CZECH STRINGS — a multi-genre DJ with 10+ years of experience — walks You through everything You need to know to make Your first mix. No prior knowledge of DJing, music theory, or equipment is required. Zero. ‍ #### **What the workshop covers:** The session starts with the essentials: what a DJ actually does, what their role is, and how it all comes together. From there, CZECH STRINGS explains the gear using the decks available at the spot as a live example, applicable to any DJ setup You might encounter in the future. ‍ #### **You will learn the core technical skills needed for Your first transition:** \* Beatmatching — how to align two tracks in tempo \* Cueing — how to prepare the next track for a seamless entry \* Track structure and phrasing — understanding how tracks are built so You know when to mix The teaching happens live from behind the DJ decks. The Alliance is part of the Greater Central Ohio Chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society. We are an all-voices chorus dedicated to providing an inclusive environment for all those who love to sing, regardless of their race, gender identity, sexual orientation or musical background. The Alliance is the first and only all-voices barbershop chorus in Central Ohio. **Who:** Anyone with a passion for singing at a high level.
