Battle of the Models: Local AI vs Cloud AI - AI in Action
*The program is designed for software students and enthusiasts under the age of 30.*
Join us for an evening with **Sanket Joshi**, AI/ML Engineer and Developer Advocate, as he talks about **Local vs Cloud AI**.
This event is open to people who are interested in AI, development tools, privacy, and practical ways to use different AI models.
During the session, Sanket will compare local AI tools such as Ollama and LM Studio with cloud-based platforms like OpenAI, Azure AI Foundry, Claude, Gemini, and OpenRouter.
You will get a clearer idea of when it is useful to run models locally, when cloud AI is a better choice, and how to decide what fits your own project or workflow.
There will also be time for questions and a chance to network with other people interested in AI and technology.
*Free entry, pizza and drinks included!*
The event will be held in English.
Spots are limited, so reserve your place early!

Museum Sundays Special: Suomenlinna & picnic
Suomenlinna is a UNESCO World Heritage site and a classic summer picnic location only 15 minute ferry ride away from downtown Helsinki. Join us for a tour of the island, and if feeling up for it, check out the various museums located around the island where both the Museum Card and the Helsinki Card grant free entry. There's no pre-planned route or destination — instead we'll take a walk around the fortress ruins and pop in wherever we're feeling up for it. Afterwards we'll settle in a park somewhere nearby for food and drinks.
**Possible stops include:**
* [Sotamuseo Maneesi (just opened a new exhibition showing WWII era soviet war propaganda)](https://museot.fi/nayttelykalenteri/index.php?nayttely_id=40407)
* [Suomenlinna museum (recently opened a new exhibition showing handcrafted Finnish glass)](https://museot.fi/nayttelykalenteri/index.php?nayttely_id=42566)
* [Submarine Vesikko (WWII era submarine so we can imagine what it would feel like having a panic attack after being sunk to the bottom of the sea in a tin can)](https://museot.fi/museohaku/index.php?museo_id=21149)
* [Ehrensvärd museum (gawk at how a bunch of rich people lived in the 1700s)](https://museot.fi/museohaku/index.php?museo_id=21096)
* [Customs museum (crazy things that have been forbidden from being imported and the crazy ways that crazy people tried to get around that prohibition)](https://tulli.fi/tutustu-tulliin/tullimuseo)
We'll get together at the Kauppatori ferry terminal before passing over to the island. Once there, I'll share my location via GPS and everyone's free to tag along for the museum tour or simply take a walk around the island and take in the sights.
Shut Up & Write - Helsinki
A warm space to write, connect, and spend some intentional time together.
We start by gathering, chatting a little, and ordering a tea or coffee if you like. Then at **18:30** we take an hour to focus on our own writing.
No phones, no chatting during the writing time — just a simple way to create momentum while being in the company of others. If you are noise sensitive, bring earplugs/headphones etc..
There’s no pressure to share your work unless you feel like it — you’re always welcome to keep things private.
All kinds of writing are welcome:
– Creative writing
– Poetry
– Journaling
– Essays or academic work
– Anything else
Any language is welcome too.
After the session, you’re welcome to stay, chat, and hang out for as long as you like.
Come as you are, bring whatever you’re working on, and enjoy a supportive, easygoing atmosphere ✨
**Very welcome!**
Guided Meditations
Join us on **Fridays, 18:00 - 19:30** at **Lapinlahden Lähde** for a free session where we’ll explore the topic of the week - **Being Assertive**. After 19:30, you're welcome to hang out with us. Depending on what the group decides, we sometimes:
\- stay in\, enjoy tea and cookies and play board games
\- go out for dinner or order food\, feel free to bring your meal
\- Just engage in deep conversations
✅ Your **RSVP counts as your registration**, we expect you to **honour it**.
🤝 All conversations are confidential. What’s shared, stays in the group.
🌿 Small group, big heart: Everyone gets a chance to share.
🧘♀️ Come comfy, come curious.
💧 Bring water. Skip heavy meals & caffeine.
📍 **Tallipääty, Lapinlahdenpolku 8, Helsinki**

Play-A-Long Outdoor Session
Let's head outside and play in the sunshine
Gather near the outdoor piano in the Töölonlahden Kesäpuisto. Bring an instrument, something to sit on, a tablet (or small laptop) if you have one, something to drink, sunscreen, etc ... and let's have a proper session playing our favorite songs in the sunshine.
Whether you are a beginner, or an experienced player … or perhaps you just like to sing along … come and join use for a sing-a-long / play-a-long session. We will then start playing and everyone can join in. If you want to improvise over the song while we are playing, go ahead!!! Bring your uke, guitar, or any other instrument … or just yourself. Small amps are welcome. All ages welcome.

Men's Group meetup
**The idea for this group is to build a community where men can gather together and build connections & learn and grow from each other.**
How we start each meeting is by each of us checking in with our "roses and thorns" aka what are the good things and the bad things going on in your life recently?
Then we will go into a topic discussion.
\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-\-

1. Confidentiality - EVERYTHING that is shared NEVER leaves this space so that this space remains safe and sacred. There is a zero tolerance policy for this. If a man is in violation of this, they will be permanently removed from the group.
2. Non-Judgement - we respect and honor every man’s truth so that we may receive the same from others. While we may not agree on everything, we commit to respecting every man’s perspectives and engaging in honorable discussion with one another.
3. Be committed - honor your commitment to this group and to yourself. If you attend a meeting, please commit yourself fully to the meeting. Also be committed to your own journey. When we fail, we own it & clean it up.

5. Be supportive - This means always willing to provide encouragement to your fellow men, encourage action and momentum in each other’s lives.. Be willing to challenge each other. Be willing to hold each other accountable.
6. Participation - what you receive from this community will be a reflection of what you put into it. Period. We ask that you share your perspectives, reflect on others, and give/receive support when and where it’s needed.
