To support the Government’s initiative to develop artificial intelligence (AI) as a core industry and to enable traditional sectors to upgrade and transform through AI adoption, the Hong Kong Applied Science and Technology Research Institute (ASTRI) is organising the 2026 seminar series “AI Empowerment: Enhancing Industry Capabilities.” The first seminar, titled “AI and Urban Planning: Building Smarter Cities,” will bring together business leaders and industry experts to examine the transformative role of AI in construction and property technology. Hilarious, gripping, poignant- it's up to you. Audiences are invited to come to listen or come to tell as folks from all corners of Columbus offer their stories live on stage! Held at Wild Goose Creative's warm, intimate space, this night of tales occurs on the 3rd Thursday of every month. Doors open at 6:30 pm, show starts at 7:00 pm. Please arrive early if you want to tell, as we generally only have room for a limited number of tellers, and the sign-up sheet has a tendency to fill up fast. Formed around the idea that people need stories--they're what hold and draw us together--SpeakEasy celebrates the strangeness and commonness of being human.
