This event is part of our weekly event series \-\-\- Hey Badminton Enthusiasts! This meet-up is for all levels: beginners, intermediates and experts. Everyone is welcome to join, test their skills and have some fun together! The host will reserve courts in advance, that means please only register if you really plan to come (or cancel at least 24 hours before the event starts). The fee for this event is 12€ (for the 2 hours). If you plan on paying in cash, please bring the exact amount as the host might not have any change available. We are meeting at about 10.55 near the reception by the lounge area (next to the courts). Come a bit earlier so you have time to change into workout/sports clothes. The locker rooms are free to use, but you need to bring your own padlock - or you can also take your bag of clothes upstairs to the courts if you do not have a padlock. Also, bring clean indoor sports shoes, your racket and a water bottle with you. If you do not have a racket, it is possible to rent rackets from the club, if necessary (3€). Sometimes the host or other members have spare rackets - please ask in the comment section below! If you are joining our events for the first time, WELCOME! Let the host know that you are new and they will find a place for you. Don't worry, we are an open and friendly group. We will meet in a calm and friendly place ( Parc, Café, Restaurant) to explore together some of Jiddu Krishnamurti’s key questions about awareness, relationship, and freedom. There will be no teaching, no authority — only open dialogue and attentive listening. Everyone is welcome, whether you are familiar with Krishnamurti or simply curious about life and self-understanding. We’ll start with an open conversation around a theme such as “Listening without judgment” or “Can thought bring clarity?” Please bring openness, curiosity, and a readiness to listen — no books or notes needed. The spirit is not to discuss “what should be,” but to observe together “what is.”

Join us for **three hours** of badminton! This event is open for all levels and ages! It is part of the club Sportunion Vienna Badminton Community. We are playing at USZ Hietzing (Altgasse 6, 1130, close to the U4 station Hietzing). The hall (Große Halle) is on the second floor. The changing room is on the first floor in the long corridor. Please bring a racket, sports clothes and shoes and a water bottle. We provide feather shuttles. You can also likely borrow a racket from one of our players if you need to.

It's an extremely nice place for working, with a comfortable lobby and bar area. Feel free to bring your side projects or whatever you're working on, or just come hang out. Hi everyone, On **Sunday, 4.01.2026,** I am planning a hike to the Rudolfswarte near Purkersdorf. We start in Purkersdorf bei Wien Sanatorium train stop and hike to Rudolfswarte and on to the wild boar enclosure near Deutschwald, where the wild boars are waiting to be petted and to Untertullnerbach train station. Here is the possibility to go home by train after a 10km hike. For people who want to hike more, we continue to the Hochramalpe and further to Purkersdorf near Vienna train station. So there are **two hiking options** of different lengths: 1\. Purkersdorf bei Wien Sanatorium train stop to Untertullnerbach station: Length of the tour: approx. 10km **Duration: approx. 3.5h** Altitude difference: approx. 350m up and 300m down 2\. Purkersdorf bei Wien Sanatorium train stop to Purkersdorf bei Wien train station: Length of the tour: approx. 19km **Duration: approx. 6.5h** Altitude difference: approx. 700m up and 700m down There are also **two possible meeting points**: 1. **Wien Westbahnhof at 8:45 a.m**. on the level of the platforms at the ticket machine next to the many seating areas and next to the InfoPoint of the ÖBB (see picture in the attachment) and leave together at 8:56 a.m. from platform 4. Since Purkersdorf Santorium is still in the Kernzone 100, a ticket of Wiener Linien (or the annual ticket of Wiener Linien) is sufficient for the outward journey. Everyone is responsible for the train ticket. 2\. Or directly at the start of the hike in Purkersdorf bei **Wien Sanatorium train stop at 9:12h platform 2**. Everyone has to bring their own food and drink (at least 1 liter), as we will not stop for a bite to eat. We take two to three breaks to rest and eat as needed. I will be waiting at Wien Westbahnhof. Some people from my other group will also join. I will contact everyone, who has registered, on Friday evening with a weather update. For sure it will become quite frosty on Sunday. My hikes and mountain hikes are free of charge and purely private joint leisure events. I am not a certified hiking or mountain guide. Participation is at your own responsibility and risk.

If yes - WELCOME! * The earlier you sign up, the bigger your chance to reserve a place - once 9 other players have signed up already, you move to the waiting list. * Once the waiting list has 3 or more members, I will try to book an additional court, but no guarantees. I need to close the registration 24h before the event as I will then have to decide whether to cancel any court due to a shortage of players. You can still contact me if you want to play though. The fee per player will be €10.00 for 2 hours as the cost of both shuttles and court bookings have increased. But this should now cover also shuttles used during play. Please be on time as a curtesy to the other players. In addition, if you are on the players' list and don't come (i.e. no show), you will be automatically excluded from this group.

**Note:** We are meeting outside again as the first one was very successful. There is also a picnic in the nearby location so we may try to learn languages while having fun and learning sports vocabulary. Bring a blanket to sit on and water and snacks if you like. Wild Ones: Annual Native Seed Swap January 10, 2026 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am Join Wild Ones Columbus for their annual native seeds swap. If you have native seeds to share, please label them with the Latin name and common name. The seeds don’t need to be removed from the seed head if you aren’t sure how to do it, but remove as much stem as possible. Bringing seeds is not required. Bring bags or envelopes to store seeds. If you have native seeds to share, label each species with this information: * Botanical Name * Common Name Species we will accept: * Species native to our ecoregion (8.2.4) - Best * Species native to Ohio and surrounding states - Good * Straight species only - no cultivars. The seeds don’t need to be removed from the seed head if you aren’t sure how to do it, but don’t leave much stem on the seed heads. Please email the list of species to Mary May so we can prepare information for attendees. You can bring the seeds on the day of the swap, or we can arrange to have them picked up beforehand - just let her know in the email. If you don’t have any seeds to bring, no worries. If you are new to native plants or didn't have time to collect seeds, there are ALWAYS plenty from those that do bring them! We love to see "newbies" at our seed exchange! Also, remember to bring something to put seeds in such as envelopes, paper bags or containers.

Private Group. Closed to the Public Knowing ourselves and understanding our abilities is the first step toward wielding our gifts with control and accuracy. In subsequent classes we will verify and hone our talents with activities and discussion. These are hands-on workshops and participation is expected.
