After Work Wednesday's!
Get over the mid week slump and come down to meet some new faces and relax. We try and go to a different bar every week and you can join us anytime after 18:30.
**How to find the group?**
\*We have an area reserved just for us so if you are new and unsure please ask any of the bar staff for the area reserved under the organisers name or if completely lost on the night please contact the event host and they'll come and find you.
**How does it work?**
\*After finding the group either the organiser will approach you and ask if you are looking for the meetup or you can just ask anyone "Is this the meetup?" and normally that is a great conversation opener to join the group. After that it's up to you what you make of the event. That is pretty much it. Easy right? We normally encourage people to stand as it's much easier to mingle that way.
**Nervous about coming to the event?**
\*While it's quite intimidating meeting a bunch of strangers from the internet we are a very welcoming group. We normally look out for new people and remember that everyone in the group has been new in the group at one point. If are you'd like extra help just contact the event host on the night.
**Interested in helping out?**
\*Let me (Éamonn) know as it would be greatly appreciated.
**Something happened?**
\*Please report it to the organiser as we cannot do anything to prevent it from happening again if we don't know about it. Even if it's something small please let the organiser know as they are probably unaware.
We aim to have the location up by Monday afternoon before the event. The bars we go to are all based in the city centre.
**See you on Wednesday!**

### **Format**
The session will run for around three hours in a relaxed, hands-on setting.
The event will focus on learning, with a combination of scheduled short and long presentations/demonstrations. The last hour will take a more flattened and open approach, allowing the space for people to chat, share, learn, and explore TouchDesigner.

The event is also a great opportunity to meet other creative technologists and artists, and to continue building the growing the digital art community in Ireland.
Contact us at noidlab.collective@gmail.com to share ideas for future sessions or to express interest in presenting your work.
A special thanks to TOG for allowing **[@noidlab](https://www.instagram.com/noid_lab/)** to use the space for these events, and **[Derivative](https://www.instagram.com/touchdesigner/)** for supporting the project. The meetups are hosted each month by a group of artists and creative technologists.

Figure Painting in Oils // A 3 Day Workshop with Artist Nicholas Robinson
## Figure Painting in Oils // A 3 Day Workshop with Artist Nicholas Robinson // Friday July 3 - Sunday July 5
**BOOK HERE - https://www.tickettailor.com/events/skillsets/2179557**
Painting the figure has always been a staple exercise in learning the craft of oil painting, and this 3 day workshop covers the core skills required. This class is ideal for those looking to start their exploration into the art of Figure Painting, or for the more experienced artist who wants to improve their fundamentals. Nick Robinson (Florence Academy prize winner 2012 & 2013, Zurich Portrait Prize Finalist 2019 & 2021) will instruct in the visual method: translating what we observe from life into oil painting on the canvas.
We will explore the materials involved, some theory and preparation for the model. The rest of the session will be comprised of working from the nude in one single-pose painting over the 3 days. By the completion of the course participants will have a clear understanding of the techniques and steps involved in painting the figure, as well as increased levels of observational skill. No prior experience is necessary, only a strong interest in painting from life.
**Course Fee: €350**
\* Some materials will be provided, though a small materials list will be sent to each participant.
***Your Tutor:***
Nicholas is a Florence Academy of Art prize winner and graduate.
Nicholas finished his post-graduate studies at Ireland’s National College of Art & Design (NCAD) in 2009, having previously graduated from the Crawford College of Art & Design, Cork. He was introduced to the American ateliers in Florence, in which students study exclusively from life, by the Irish painter Gearoid Hayes.
Subsequently Nicholas quit his teaching career and attended the Florence Academy of Art, Sweden under the tutelage of the Swedish painter Joakim Ericsson. Nicholas received a pair of drawing awards during his time at the school in Sweden and returned to Ireland in 2013. He is now exhibiting nationally, and works and teaches out of in his studio in Wicklow.

Art, Culture & Conversation | National Gallery of Ireland
Looking for a different kind of evening in Dublin?
This Thursday, NomadÉire is heading to the National Gallery of Ireland for an evening of art, culture, and conversation. We'll spend a couple of hours exploring one of Ireland's premier cultural institutions, taking in everything from classical masterpieces to contemporary works while getting to know fellow members of the community.
Whether you're an art enthusiast, a casual museum-goer, or simply looking for an interesting way to spend an evening with great people, this event is for you. No art history knowledge required.
Whether you are a digital nomad, remote professional, entrepreneur, creative, founder, traveler, student, or local, come join us. This is a relaxed opportunity to connect with curious and interesting people while experiencing one of Dublin's most iconic cultural destinations.
What to expect:
• Explore the galleries at your own pace while meeting fellow NomadÉire members.
• Discover Irish and international artwork spanning centuries.
• Enjoy thoughtful conversations inspired by art, culture, travel, and life in Dublin.
• Meet new people in a relaxed and welcoming environment.
• Optional pub visit afterward for anyone who wants to continue the evening.
We'll meet outside the National Gallery of Ireland at **6:00 PM** and explore the gallery until approximately **8:00 PM**.
Afterward, we'll see how the group is feeling and may head to a nearby pub for a drink and some additional conversation.
Come alone or bring a friend. Either way, you'll be warmly welcomed and quickly introduced to the group.
Sometimes the best conversations happen when you're wandering through a gallery with interesting people. Looking forward to seeing everyone there.
Monthly Makerfur Meet
Are you a beginner fursuit maker who wants to learn the craft? Are you into electronics and want to figure out how to make your LED strips emit custom patterns? Or maybe you want to talk on the radio with your fluffy friends? No matter how big or small, fluffy or simple the project is, bring it in to us for a social, fluffy event for all cats, dogs, wolves, foxes, and even protogens or any other species known.
All you need to take part is an idea that you want to bring to life.
The furry maker night will run every first week of the month.
This is not a taught class, more like an informal working group of self-directed makers.
While you can bring your fursuit in, either to work on it as a project or for repairs, it is heavily discouraged to wear them inside the space. Accessories such as tails are also discouraged for safety reasons.
We are looking forward to seeing every fur in our space.
