Is Love Something You DO?
**Is Love Something You DO? (Free Event)**
***
**We all know about love in our personal relationships, that itโs not just something you think or even say but that itโs something you show by putting what youโre feeling into practice. But what happens when we think about love in a wider context? How do we embrace loving those beyond our existing circles? What about all of humanity? Is it enough to simply feel love for all mankind, or do we also have to seek out ways to put that into practice? This can seem like a daunting task, but even coming together with people of different backgrounds and beliefs and exploring these ideas together in an open and respectful setting can help contribute to creating the world we want to see!**
**Come join a different kind of conversation โ one that welcomes every perspective in a search for the truths that unite us all โ as we discuss the spiritual perspectives offered by the Bahรกโรญ Teachings on the power of love in action. Join us for a lively discussion as we explore how developing that practice in ourselves and in others can help create the change we want to see in the world.**

Meaningful Conversation and Morning Coffee - Alexandria
Higher Grounds โ Del Ray is part of a growing network of gatherings where we create space for thoughtful, authentic dialogue about what matters most. Whether weโre exploring the nature of happiness, the challenges and possibilities of midlife, spirituality, culture, capitalism, parenting, or the role of art and travel in a meaningful life, every conversation is shaped by the people in the room.
Thereโs no set leader or rigid agendaโjust a shared commitment to listen as much as we speak. We start with brief introductions focused on what makes you *you* (not your LinkedIn bio), then dive straight into whatever is on peopleโs minds. The direction of each meetup emerges organically, making every event unique.
MANDATORY: PLEASE REVIEW OUR COMMUNITY GUIDELINES IN THE GROUP DESCRIPTION. Everyone is expected to engage in respectful conversations and listen deeply as well as share. We have a zero tolerance policy of sexual harassment and hate speech.

Capoeira
Capoeira (capo-way-ra) is an Afro-Brazilian martial art that is unlike any other martial art. Capoeira incorporates flowing movements with kicks, dodges, and some acrobatics. It is often mistaken for a dance for those reasons. Since itโs origins in the 17th century, it has evolved from a secret fighting practice into an art emphasizing self-expression and community celebration. It is great for the body and mind! In addition to gaining strength and flexibility in class, students learn about Brazilian culture, history, and language (Portuguese). On November 26, 2014 capoeira was granted a special protected status as "intangible cultural heritageโ by UNESCO.
No need to have a Capoeira background to join this class, just an open mind to try out a new way to move! Beginners welcome.
**Please reserve your spot at www.piesfitnessyoga.com**. The session is offered InStudio only. **Sign up for sessions must be made at least 2 hours prior to class.**

Simmer Pot: Memories, Medicine, / Lineage o Healing with author Anisha Newbill
Join us for The Simmer Pot: Memories, Medicine, and a Lineage of Healing with author Anisha "Mama Moon" Newbill Wednesday, February 11th at 7PM in the Silver Spring Civic Building. Free event
This is not only a book about medicine; it is a book about memory, about the wisdom that runs in the blood. It is the quiet knowledge that tells you how to cool a fever, how to clear a congested chest, and what to brew when the body feels weak. It is an inheritance passed down not in textbooks, but in the rhythm of daily lifeโin kitchens, in whispered reassurances, and in the steadfast certainty of a grandmotherโs hands. It's about family and the tapestry that is known as healing.

Psychic Development Series II - Pueo Group
Private Group. Closed to the Public
Knowing ourselves and understanding our abilities is the first step toward wielding our gifts with control and accuracy.
In subsequent classes we will verify and hone our talents with activities and discussion. These are hands-on workshops and participation is expected.
The goal of our series will be to develop expertise in areas of particular interest such as mediumship, channeling, divination, healing and, etc.. Our ultimate directions will be determined by class members as we evolve.
I look forward to sharing and discovering with you. - Cynthia
Freeing the Soul - An Introductory Circle
Meeting Room 3B, Main Library
Join us for a welcoming evening of reflection, gentle music, and meaningful conversation. Weโll begin with a short grounding moment, followed by a brief reading from spiritual or philosophical traditions, and an open reflection circle where participants can share (or simply listen).
Libera Animae is an interfaith community focused on inner growth, creativity, and authentic connection. This first gathering is a simple introduction to the spirit of the group and a chance to meet others seeking deeper meaning and community.
All backgrounds are welcome.
